Ocean Waves Dolphin Acrylic Paint Tumbler - Step by Step Tutorial

- In this video I will show you how I create the ocean waves using acrylic paints mixed with epoxy and a glitter sand effect bottom. As well as applying decals to complete the process of what I would say is one of my favorite styles to make.
The color combination I used is Masters Touch Sky Blue, Pale Blue, Lake Blue and Viridian. As well as Apple Barrel White.
The dolphin decals were printed on ink jet printable vinyl.

I was looking to do something like this as someone suggested I put my art skills to use. I never made a tumbler before. But I was asked to try to make one. This is the best video I’ve seen far as what I was looking to do. Some steps I feel like I missed and had questions about a few steps. I really do love your work though!

After you apply the epoxy over the glitter do you let it dry or add acrylic paint while it is still wet
Thanks for the question. I applied the glitter and let that dry then sprayed it with a clear coat. Then I apply a single layer of epoxy and apply the acrylic paint to my epoxy in the small cups and apply while the coat on tumbler is wet. It helps give it flow to the epoxy and acrylic paint mix. Would like to know where you bought the dolphin images.
I was able to find a bulk set at a craft store during some travels down south. It is what inspired me to make this particular cup.
How did you make your cup with it half light and white? I know you said you had a video on it but I can’t find it. Also did you use fine glitter or is it chunky glitter?
If I understand your question it is about the base before doing any glitter and color with epoxy. I have sprayed painted the cup with white on bottom and a light blue on the top. As for the glitter it is a fine. Just enough to add depth to make the sand area look more real. I hope this helps.
