i love when people record themselves playing this game for the first time, it captures the magic of dont starve so well. when you dont know what to do in the game is the best part of the game! i absolutely would love to see more of theese, really like your commentary too, so keep it up
I'm happy I went in as cold as one could to the game, that made the experience so much better I think. It's so easy checking out a game too much nowadays and you just don't get the same experience. More will come! Thank you for the lovely comment, have a good one!
I love this. Please do 200 days. Just like watching others play well as I fell. As a noob myself this is actually alot more helpful than other guides. Only good info I got was how to move at night
btw a tip for whenever you revisit Don't Starve... especially after all your hard work , from around day 23 and onwards, try to always keep ur HP to max to allow a buffer for unexpected harsh/sad events that can sometimes hit you from nowhere and take you out - lmfao as I was writing this.. 1:05:35 happened to ya! :P LMFAO You gotta change your ways to stand a chance at long term lives. Jerky is your friend. EDIT: LOL I just saw you've since been playing DS plenty so you're a pro now! haha nice one matey. Gonna sub and watch more of your stuff! All the best!
Haha! What a journey your comments was 😂 I have continued my Don't Starve quest and gotten better, I'm by no means a star but I've improved quite a bit now. I've also done a let's play that have taught me a lot :) Thank you, pleased to have you!
You did amazingly well for a new player, would definitely want to see you progress more! Also I recommend looking into the things you learned from the blueprints, one of them has a solution for your food storage :)
Tip #1: Rabbits can be baited using carrots, spiders can be baited using monster meat (in the trap). Tip #2: you can aggro a spider (or 2) by stepping on the webbing on the ground around their cocoon then lead them to the trap and one will be trapped. If you have a second following you you can fight it with the spear or run around in a wide circle and pop the trap back up before dragging it past. Baiting them with meat only works in the evening or at night. The other method is best used during the day. Tip #3: Use Wickerbottom the Librarian if you want to be able to manage for longer without needing to get gold. She knows all the blueprints from the science machine so you only need to get gold when you need stuff from the alchemy machine.
Wow, so many different strategies and levels for this game. I thought I saw something regarding baiting creatures in my upcoming video. Playing DST for 100 days now and I think it's the same with ground moles, except with rocks/flints. But I didnt know you could trap other creatures in the trap, thought it was only for rabbits but I guess it makes sense, I do believe it only says "trap" and not "rabbit trap". The developers are sneaky-peaky like with their explanations for each characters "special abilities" seem to do, they're not crystal clear to me at least :P Thanks for reaching out, hope to see you in the next one!
It is so fresh to see the game from a new players eyes, It relly brings me back to my first survival world. I hope you will come to enjoy the caves as much as I did. Indeed I still do.
The caves has as of yet not been that kind to me, I'm sure I've picked up a dash of PTSD since the "bunny-incident"; but I'll have to grab the bull by the horns and try out some spelunking in the near future again!
@@Babaganuushthey are agressive for one reason so hide it in the beard 😉 without spoiling too much (dont know if you played more and figured it out already 😂)
Lmao reverse ostrich is such a good way to define tallbirds Edit: This was a wonderful video! Cant believe how small your channel is with this quality. I hope you continue with this game and maybe even explore dlc/don't starve together.(Has way more content and gets actively updated.)
Neckless creatures scares me and there is like a million different monsters with no necks in this game, why? why?!?! Thanks for reaching out, you have a good one!
Btw in case you didn't Google it or figure it out the rabbits in the cave were mad because you had meat on you and they're vegetarians if you drop your meat or eat it before you go towards them they're passive mobs :)
really enjoyed this, i was impressed by how you had the patience to figure it out all on your own mostly, even with the kiting and stuff. and i just loved the way you talked and explained what you did throughout the gameplay.
Glad you enjoyed it, I found it very entertaining playing it this way. Usually when I play stuff I've already seen quite a lot of gameplay or I google and look into things more on the internet while I'm playing them, so this style was the correct call! Working on something similar, please stick around for that. You have a good one, cheers!
This was so cool to see a new players progress, would love to see some of the dlcs, including reign of giants, the game feels more complete with it, with many new biomes, seasons, and bosses
it was so nostalgic watching you grapple with the constant as a newcomer! so many parallels with my own experiences and such satisfaction when seeing you learn more, faster
There seems to be so many levels to this game, I'm working on the next one and one keeps discovering new functions all the time which upon discovery, should've been obvious for one at the start. You're both happy making new discoveries but you also question your own intellect upon the discovery, it's a love hate thing, haha! Thank you for reaching out, you have a good one, cheers!
this is narrated like a nature documentary and it's absolutely hilarious. Don't starve is my favorite game and watching people try to figure it out for the first time is my favorite video. Thank you for sharing this magic with me. Edit: I didn't realize you were such a tiny youtuber! Definitely subscribing and waiting for more! P.S. the log fenced base was *meant* to go up in flames, if you had taken anything out of the first chest it would've set it alight! (It's cursed, this game is mean) My nerves were SHOT the whole time you were living in there LOL!
Haha, I've never thought about that, I don't think that was my intention. I do believe I have an "OK" David Attenborough impression, I'll have to incorporate that in one of these videos! Glad you enjoyed it, the next one is up in about two hours :)
I loved watching this, your commentary was amazing, I would love to see more of your Don't Starve journey! I remember starting out playing this game, and you did a whole lot better than I did!
That was a great watch and enjoyed every second! Made me laugh at a few points and you did amazingly great being new to the game. Try Don't Starve Together as much better and you can play alone. Also you have a little experience now ☺️. Thanks for the video mate, was fun to watch.
@@Babaganuush DST is multiplayer though and uses the same characters so it won't hurt to play more of this to learn the characters before adding in the chaos of other players and servers where time passes when other players are playing while you're offline.
Oh, didnt know you could go in and out in a world in the multiplayer mode. But If I play it on a local server I could lock it down to myself and I, keep it under control!
Very nice video! As for when you'll master the basic game, you'll have a few options: - Don't Starve with the Reign of Giants DLC adds 2 new seasons, bosses and generally a lot of stuff as well as tweaks that make the game harder like rabbits needing to be fed or they'll eventually starve (so no more hoarding entire chests of them) - Don't Starve with either the Shipwrecked or Hamlet DLC allows you to start a completely different adventure, you can start in their world directly or hop from one normal world to theirs, but be prepared to relearn A LOT, those DLCs are mostly the devs having fun with wacky concepts - Don't Starve Together (you can play solo or multi), which is basically Don't Starve with the RoG DLC, but far, FAR more expanded with a shitton of new content in all areas
Thanks! I'm looking into DST right now, I've recorded a new 100 days that I'll upload in the coming weeks. One mistake throughout is that I didnt use the mod "dont starve together alone". I've heard that fixes a lot of the lag and HP for the bosses.
@@Babaganuush The mod is indeed absolutely fantastic to solve lag, but it doesn't change the bosses health in any way (there are mods for that but I won't tell you to use them or not use them). I do recommend the Epic Healthbars mod though, it simply shows you the hp and it's imo better both for you and the viewers. Glad to know about the video coming up, keep up the good work!
Oh, then I have to look into what mods to use and not for the next one a little more, just a little research, I dont want to spoil myself :) Yeah, I've not tried any health bars but I've been in so many situations where I've wanted them, badly. Cheers!
Imagine there would be something to end all fires! So great to see a new sufferer on the board! Meat-Balls put one monster meat to three berries or even ice blocks! And twigs can be used also in the pot! Thanks for sharing!
I would've guessed that three ice blocks would make wet goo but all rules does not seem to apply to this world after all? I've heard I'm going to suffer even more with DST!
Planting pincones in sight of big angry tree-monsters can make them pacified..... just as long as you don't chop down any trees in their range of vision. :) Penguins were my first death playing Don't Starve blind at day 25. I was starving and desperate, figured they could be hunted but was mobbed to death. Respawned and died then to freezing cold- end of my first world. I was proud i reached so far my first ever attempt back then too.
Ooooh, that didnt cross my mind at all, this game has so many levels it's almost scary! I feel like these penguins are out for world domination, they're smarter then they're letting on. It wont be long before they thrive during summer aswell... Thank you so much for reaching out, you have a good one!
Did I expect to fall in love with this gameplay at 1am? Not quite. Am I happy I did? Yes. Is this a channel I'm gonna binge from now on? Absolutely... But truly, you have such a charming style. Please keep up the good work! ❤
Did I expect you to fall in love with this gameplay at 1am? not quite. Am I happy you did? Yes. Thank you for reaching out with these kind words, I am glad to have you onboard!
This video randomly popped up in my recommendations and I’m glad I watched it! Seeing you accidentally burn the cluster of berries with the piggy was the most soul crushing and hilarious thing I’ve seen in this game 😂
I love that you comment on your mistakes. Often, I can't watch new players explore a game I already know a lot about because the mistakes they make are endlessly frustrating to me, even though they're often understandable. I just have to click off because I'd rather do that than leave an undeserved rude comment. This way seems to work for me, though. You're still making beginner mistakes but it's not nearly as frustrating because I know you've learned from them (eventually) and you're also not leaving your viewers confused if they don't know the game themselves. So thanks! :D
These spiders initially triggered my phobia but i had a friend so obsessed with Webber in dst that i had no choice but to love them😂 the higher tier ones still do a bit
They really do cause some harm, both physically and mentally 😅 Gotta get myself some protection from poison in the future so it won't be such of a hassle!
I havent played DS, only DST (I highly recommend you buy it! You get a free copy to send to a friend upon purchase. They also have seasonal bosses which persuade you to go out of your way to prepare more) I believe in DS the starting season can either be Spring or Autumn. The endothermic fire is a fire that cools you and iceflingomatic will put out fires around your base. They are super helpful for summer. You can make Rooks (they are the metal things that look like rhinos) fight its comrades because its charge will hurt anything, including other rooks. Once they fight you can take the gears from their corpses and create an icebox. It keeps your food fresher for much longer.
You can also feed beefalo twigs and grass, along with vegetables. You can put 4 twigs in a crockpot to make a dish edible by beefalo called 'steamed twigs' If you need any help, reach out to me! Im playing on a world with some friends currently!
I tried grass in DS and that didnt work for the Beefalo, not sure if I ever tried twigs though... but this will obviously work in DST so thats good, thank you!
Great video! I was actually surprised the fire didn’t start earlier haha given that you set base up in a fire trap! I think it sets off if you take the fire staff out of the chest 🤔 would love to see any future content!
@@Babaganuush I know how: In vanilla Don't Starve, FAR fewer things are burnable. Mainly just plants, such as trees, berry bushes, grass and twigs. For your whole BASE to burn down in a majestic sweeping wildfire, THAT, you need Reign of Giants for. 10/10 expansion, by the way. Would get my base burned again. :) (Seriously RoG is worth it. It adds so much difficulty, but also so much....MORE. Of everything. Including a proper four-season year!)
@@robinchesterfield42 10/10 base fire, would burn base again! I don't own RoG yet, I'm not sure it's worth it now when I've played a little of DST? I feel like there are a lot of similarites? except that the bosses might be a little easier to kill in RoG as it's designed to be a single player experience. I've busted out shipwrecked that I'm working on for a 100 days video, hopefully out in a couple of weeks.
Finally someone does new classic don't starve witch i prefer other then dst, it is so more refined and has its own personality other then a bunch o things scrambled together. And sinc dst is so more popular people dont even know the original ds exists
This was a nice trip down memory lane. When I passed by this game some friends told me I should play it and Don't starve together was the newest thing, so we all got together to play it, we were a disaster and ouw sanity was on thw floor. It took us weeks to get pass winter, always dying by starvation or hounds. I'm currently used to the game by now, surviving hundreds of days. I'm not going to give tips, since this is an experience everyone should have, but I do wish you luck for those 200 days. (BTW your way of narrating is amazing and my poor attention span was sooth through the whole video xD)
Oh, going into Don't Starve Together with your buddies, not knowing anything at all must have been such a good (and maybe somewhat chaotic?) time! Thank you for the feedback, appreciate it! And I need all the luck I can get for my 200 days haha
Awesome video, I really love don't starve and I've been playing it for years, but sometimes you forget what's it like to be a beginner at it. You made it really entertaining tho and your narration to the game was very fun!! Great job!
I’ve learned that pigs r ur friends and beefalo in their grumpy season with red butts are actually great for spiders and puppies, they attack everything close to them
Pigs are friends for life, just don't feed them too much monster meat or they'll turn! Those big trees can also become ones friend apparently, just don't go chopping down trees in front of them!
you can feed beefalo twigs and grass for the same effect, you can fight while riding them dealing the same damage as a ham bat, and if you ride them long enough they will be fully domesticated, so you don't have to feed them in some cases
I’m sure I tried feeding them grass but they wouldnt accept it 🤔 Maybe I was close domesticating the poor fella before the hounds killed the poor thing then! Thanks for reaching out!
@@Babaganuush idk maybe there's a difference between don't starve the base game and don't starve together, and domestication takes a lot of time like 20 days or so
20 days of feeding that wooly-red-poopie-butthole? How does one even keep them alive for that long? (probably by feeding them, helloooo), I'll try it in DST and we'll find out!
As an experienced dont starve player i absolutely adore this video and wish to see more from you! Like you said dont starve together is the game that is more focused on endings and story but the base dont starve game has very fun dlc. A small tip i would like to give you is that you should find a way to use a bird. They are very useful especially for new players :)
Which DLC would you recommend to add if we're talking about the base game? or should one add all of them at the same time? maybe that's not how it works, do you play each DLC seperately? Lovely comment, thank you so much for reaching out and giving me all this positive energy, you have a great one!
@@BabaganuushI don't think you can add a dlc unless you reset the world but I'm not sure. The dlc you should add definitely is the reign of giants. I think it truly gives you the full don't starve experience and is pretty much required otherwise the game feels outdated to me. It does add a couple more challenges that some people may not like but it definitely makes the game not feel stale. Shipwrecked and Hamlet are the dlc you shouldn't add if you are new. They completely change the game and give you an entirely new and different world. With that being said I think you should look into don't starve together if it is on sale since it can go down to about 5 euro and also gives you an additional copy to share with your friend. Dst removes a bit of content but adds SO MANY things plus it has the reign of giants dlc included in it's updates. Really for me the base game is only better if you are planning on playing Hamlet and shipwrecked. Sorry if my comment was confusing I'm not really good at typing long paragraphs
I do believe I'm 100% with you. With our conversation, I'm leaning into checking out Don't Starve Together. I'm going to google a little, but not too much, I don't want to spoil anything!
@@BabaganuushJust as a warning, DST is harder at first, just because it's targeted to be played with a group of people, but once you get a hang of things its super possible to play alone and super rewarding.
I would love to see you play RoG dlc! It adds more difficulty to the game, lots of new stuff to explore and more bosses, its super fun Please make more ds related videos since i love your humor :]
I've got something in the works, these kind of videos do take a long time for me to pull out my sleeve though. Thank you for reaching out with these kind words, you have a good one, cheers!
I should be the one thanking you, which is what I will do, now, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it, working on something similar. You have a great one, cheers!
Dear Babaganush, big probs to you! I think it's one of my faveourite DS videos! You have a very sweet kind of humor and I enjoyed watching you explore and comment on your way! I would love to see you try 200 days of Don't Starve or Don't Starve together. I wish you lots of views and luck on your way! You deserve them
Loved this video! If you are gonna play it again, you should activate the Reign Of Giants DLC, it's basically this main game with more content Shipwrecked and Hamlet are alternative gameplay options but you can switch between them with your character
Thank you for reaching out! I'm playing DST now and plan to release a new video about that in the upcoming weeks. I didnt know you can jump in and out of expansions with your character? that's cool. Does it also work for "local" characters?
@@Babaganuush DST doesn't allow this to happen as easily as DS, for DST you would have to learn how to make a dedicated server, then create a new world and change the folder for the old world with the new one while you are in the caves, then you exit the caves and change the folder for the old caves with the new ones and bam, you are in an entirely new world. In any case, at this point DS reign of giants and DST are different enough games so that both of them will feel new, they have different craft recipes, different items and most of the characters play differently from one another I should also say that, among the DS DLCs Shipwrecked and Hamlet, there are plenty of characters and bosses that aren't present on DST, so even there you would get tons of new content if you were on the fence about playing them Good luck! Hope you have fun!
Seems like a lot of work and potential for screw ups, from my part at least. I do feel like Shipwrecked is the one that stands out after DST, one with a lot of potential. Hamlet looked so random to me, the little I've seen of it so far, but I am getting ahead of myself. Thank you!

But that's the thing, how are you suppose to even figure that out in a game such as this? It's really in the small details if you want to survive in this game 😆
For crock pot situation here are my tips: 1 Monster meat is fine but when you get two you are going to poison your food with monsterness. Crock pot food follows 2 different logics. 1 is general presets where food gets tagged as "meat" "veggie" "fruit" etc. The other is specific food items having special dishes. Knowing the general food is good enough for beginners so here they are: Meatballs(your hunger fixer) requires any unit of meat(can be monster meat) and 3 filler(mostly any food although some cause special recipes.) Taffy(since u like bees): just 4 honey in crock pot. Sanity fixer other than flowers. Pierogi(gives 40 hp): 1 egg 1 meat 1 vegetable and 1 filler. (I usually go 2 carrots 1 monster meat and 1 egg.) Honey ham(good heal good food mix of everything.): 2 big meats(the ones you use for hambat) and 2 honey.
Haha, Taffy since I like bees, you noticed huh? Honey ham was totally my jam there for a bit. One monster meat is all for me from now on, wasted too many great meals due to having two in the pot, not good! Thanks for all the tips m8!
Wonderful video really enjoyed it! You should consider Don't Starve Together, even as a single player games the mechanics are a bit more fleshed out and way more vast, I think at east triple the bosses among a whole ton other changes, and your experience would come in handy. In terms of tips if you would like some, I have two main ones. First, look for a "bird cage", you can catch a bird and keep it as a pet, and then you feed it meat for eggs! Eggs can make one of the best foods in the game in the crockpot, if you add in meat and vegetables 👀 Second, the portable light sources are really strong. Specifically the miner hate you found once, but you can refill it with the glowing balls from the basement! Also these Light Bulbs can be used to make a lantern, which is a portable hand held lightsource you can put on the ground. Really helpful in an emergency! Hope you enjoyed your time in the game
Thank you! I've already jumped into DST now, I got a lot of recommendations for it; I was cocky yesterday, not so cocky today playing the game haha! Oooh, cooking tips are always welcome, I'll be sure to keep a lookout for that bird cage! Yeah I keep having to make new torches all the time, I just now that I will mess up and not have the materials ready when I need one the next time... Thanks for reaching out, you have a good one!
I was equally confused when I played the game for the first time and I’m still not great at the game, I just learned to cheat 😂 looking forward to the next video!
Between “don’t starve” and “don’t starve together” I have an embarrassing 1000+ hours in game… but most of them accumulated during the pandemic so that’s my excuse ✨
Well spent hours I'd say! Are you doing any of the survival aspect still or are you playing it in another way? the secret, better way that I dont know of?

There are 2 games: Dont starve and Dont starve together(DST). DS have 3 DLC-s: RoG, Shipwrecked and Hamlet. Rog is basicly an huge update to base game (would recommend playing with that if you play DS) while Shipwercked and Hamlet change the game almost completly: in one you dont have a single island and you need to traverse the map with boats, while hamlet is kinda a tottaly differet spin on the game (different seasons, smart pigs,...). Since DTS came out laiter and is more focused on multiple players (you can still play it singleplayer) it made alot of changes, especialy with characters. In DS characters are just too similiar (basicly 1 upside and 1 downside), while in DST they can completly change your experience. While i dont like mods there is one i cant play widouth, geometric placement, its just quality of life improvment that lets you plant, build, etc. on a grid.
I'm going to have to check out which DLC to add or if one should try out Dst. Would you go at it alone or experience it with a friend for your first time? Is Maxwells door worth checking out in Dont Starve? forgot about that one. Thank you so much for reaching out, you have a good one!
@@Babaganuush Maxwell door puts u in a random world each with a twist but they all have the same thing u need to get 5 items I think and put them together and travel to the next and when u are done u get the ending. The survival part is much more entertaining. And dst the endings are like doing quest to get stuff or fight bosses that drop stuff and u use that stuff to get to the final boss. There are two endings and btw I do suggest watching the lore videos from keli they are short and fun
@@Babaganuush The door is more like sidequest storyline missions in witch you start "naked". If you die in there at any point you just get telepoted back in front of it with everything you owned before entering it. You can try and enter it, no drawback. You can unlock 2 special characters: Maxwell( by competing it) and Wess(you need to find him somwhere in there). TBH Maxwell is my favorite and Wess is... umm... lets say "challenge" character. I would maybe recommend (for content) to first "complete" DS RoG, basicly same as DS but with a huge patch (it kinda completes the game) for example its not just summer and winter, but all 4 seasons. And there either other DLC-s or DST. Now, do you play DST with a friend or alone. You can do either, but its always more fun to play with friends (its banaced for multiplayer). But DST is kinda harder if noone knows the game.
I think I'm leaning towards DST now actually, might add even more of a challenge if they've added all seasons and probably a lot of other stuff that I cant even imagine right now, might make it really fun discovering all that
@@FreelyColorful you're stronger for it! Easy characters breed weak people! I've yet to unlock him in DS, went through adventure mode without finding the poor bastard.
@@Babaganuush Yeahhh, he’s a bit of a pain to find in the original game-he’ll be in the 3rd world so long as it isnt Two Worlds.
The developers are sneaky-peaky like with their explanations for each characters "special abilities" seem to do, they're not crystal clear to me at least :P
Thanks for reaching out, hope to see you in the next one!
I've found the problem, they're part of the PETA organization and they're taking action!
Lmao reverse ostrich is such a good way to define tallbirds
Edit: This was a wonderful video!
I didn't figure it out but I do believe it got pointed out to me so now I do know :)
really enjoyed this, i was impressed by how you had the patience to figure it out all on your own mostly, even with the kiting and stuff. and i just loved the way you talked and explained what you did throughout the gameplay.
Working on the next one!
it was so nostalgic watching you grapple with the constant as a newcomer! so many parallels with my own experiences and such satisfaction when seeing you learn more, faster
DUDE THAT THUMBNAIL IS SO SICK
Glad you liked it, cheers!
Oh man, someone's meating their maker
Beer, good! Napster, bad!
This was a very good video! 100 days in don't starve is my favorite kind of content right now
Thank you for those kind words and for reaching out! I'm going to try out DST next
I loved watching this, your commentary was amazing, I would love to see more of your Don't Starve journey! I remember starting out playing this game, and you did a whole lot better than I did!
I'm really glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words. You're all meta in the game now arent you?
That was a great watch and enjoyed every second! Made me laugh at a few points and you did amazingly great being new to the game. Try Don't Starve Together as much better and you can play alone. Also you have a little experience now ☺️. Thanks for the video mate, was fun to watch.
Great to hear, thank you! DST is on my list, hopefully these 100 days will count for something in that game!
As a don't starve player I would suggest Don't Starve Together as it is constantly updated and has a bit more to do. Loved the video btw.
Yeah I’m leaning towards DTS now and as I’m still a newbie, I think I’ll enjoy the new challange. Thank you and thanks for reaching out!
@@Babaganuush well if you need any tips feel free to ask.
I'll be sure to holler when I'm at my 9th attempt in DST, not having made it past day 4! :D
Watch you play this game was one of the best things in my week. Thanks
It's only Tuesday, you'll find something better! 😉 Thank you!
this was funny and u learn pretty quick would love to see 200 days
I thank thee, something else is coming!
Very nice video!
As for when you'll master the basic game, you'll have a few options:
- Don't Starve with the Reign of Giants DLC adds 2 new seasons, bosses and generally a lot of stuff as well as tweaks that make the game harder like rabbits needing to be fed or they'll eventually starve (so no more hoarding entire chests of them)
- Don't Starve with either the Shipwrecked or Hamlet DLC allows you to start a completely different adventure, you can start in their world directly or hop from one normal world to theirs, but be prepared to relearn A LOT, those DLCs are mostly the devs having fun with wacky concepts
- Don't Starve Together (you can play solo or multi), which is basically Don't Starve with the RoG DLC, but far, FAR more expanded with a shitton of new content in all areas
Cheers!
whole gameplay, editing is entertaining bro. well done
Thank you! I've got a list for things to improve for my next one and I'm excited for it, have a good one!
Penguins were my first death playing Don't Starve blind at day 25.
Ah man i love watching people play this game for a first time! This definetly deserves more attention :)
Cheers!
Instantly clicked on this video even though I’ve never seen your channel. I’m in too deep in the don’t starve rabbit hole 🥲
I'm glad you did! How far have you come? do you have hundreds of hours on the record or are you new into the fold just like me?
Just set a trap
This video randomly popped up in my recommendations and I’m glad I watched it! Seeing you accidentally burn the cluster of berries with the piggy was the most soul crushing and hilarious thing I’ve seen in this game 😂
We lost a lot of good berries that day... more mistakes coming, new video is dropping in about 7-8 hours :)
14:55 "I investigated the suspicious dirt pile left by food..."
🤣 *Now* you are one of us! 😆
one of us! one of us!
As some one with close to 2000hrs in dst+ds this is adorable to watch. And reminds me if my own erly days
I like how you choose to use the word "adorable" while describing my gameplay here! :D
I'm not a first time player but I haven't played this game in maybe 5 years. Watching this made me want to play again.
The nicest compliment you can receive, thank you so much!
this game is so unique and hard, love seeing new people play it
It's damn charming on a first glance, then you accidentally look at a beetle the wrong way and everything turns deadly
I know I’m a bit late since you posted this video 8 months ago but I’d looove to see 200 days❤
Better late then never! I will probably do a new 100 days of another expansion, like Hamlet :)
Your editing and what you say is so funny and entertaining! I hope you keep making videos like this!
Thanks buddy, I sure will!
Love the content keep up the good work, you deserve more attention you make great content!
Thank you! I'm soon done with the next big one, damn it's taken forever with this one hah!
I havent played DS, only DST (I highly recommend you buy it! You get a free copy to send to a friend upon purchase. They also have seasonal bosses which persuade you to go out of your way to prepare more)
I believe in DS the starting season can either be Spring or Autumn.
You can put 4 twigs in a crockpot to make a dish edible by beefalo called 'steamed twigs'
If you need any help, reach out to me! Im playing on a world with some friends currently!
A bunch of great tips, lets see if I remember them in the heat of it all when I do DST, hah!
I tried grass in DS and that didnt work for the Beefalo, not sure if I ever tried twigs though... but this will obviously work in DST so thats good, thank you!
DST is so boring. Waiting for DS 2
@@ДаниилС-з5в have you been playing DST for a long time? is DS2 in the works?
Great video! I was actually surprised the fire didn’t start earlier haha given that you set base up in a fire trap! I think it sets off if you take the fire staff out of the chest 🤔 would love to see any future content!
Thank you! Haha, well I didnt know I lived in a future furnace! Love to have you here!
I can’t believe you didn’t burn your chests lol. Or any of the other structures for that matter, that was lucky
I must've neglected my luck at the time but as you spell it out for me here, how did I not burn everything down? that was a hell of a bonfire!
I thought the exact same 😆
Maxwell must've watched over me
@@Babaganuush I know how: In vanilla Don't Starve, FAR fewer things are burnable. Mainly just plants, such as trees, berry bushes, grass and twigs.
For your whole BASE to burn down in a majestic sweeping wildfire, THAT, you need Reign of Giants for. 10/10 expansion, by the way. Would get my base burned again. :)
(Seriously RoG is worth it.
It's really something. Hamlet is coming next, don't know when but...

Perhaps one day, hopefully I'm one closer if you decide to stick around! :) Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for letting me know!

I have, it's on the channel :)
Amazing video man, I’ve been playing this game for a while and seeing people play it for the first time is amazing! Keep up the good work

Yo I was watching this high thinking damn how have I never seen these guys vids? they are fire. keep making content man ur great at it j sayin
🙌 broooo! Thank you so much!
And I need all the luck I can get for my 200 days haha
im only 5 minutes into this video and i love this guy’s vocabulary
What vocabulary? 😂 Cheers Terry!
Awesome video, I really love don't starve and I've been playing it for years, but sometimes you forget what's it like to be a beginner at it. You made it really entertaining tho and your narration to the game was very fun!! Great job!
Thank you so much! This game really has so many levels, I feel like you're learning something new every 5 minutes.

Or should one jump into Don't Starve Together instead?

I would love to see you try 200 days of Don't Starve or Don't Starve together. I wish you lots of views and luck on your way! You deserve them
Thank you for all those kind words and for reaching out! I'm working on the next one!
Loved this video! If you are gonna play it again, you should activate the Reign Of Giants DLC, it's basically this main game with more content
Shipwrecked and Hamlet are alternative gameplay options but you can switch between them with your character
In any case, at this point DS reign of giants and DST are different enough games so that both of them will feel new, they have different craft recipes, different items and most of the characters play differently from one another
I should also say that, among the DS DLCs Shipwrecked and Hamlet, there are plenty of characters and bosses that aren't present on DST, so even there you would get tons of new content if you were on the fence about playing them
Good luck!
Thank you!

It's crazy how i watched all video and then realised you've only got 1k subs, hope you get more cuz this content is great
Thanks! Give me a few years and we'll hit 1001, I'm sure of it!
I hope you'll also try the shipwrecked DLC, it has so much great content and it changes the entire game to a new level:)
Yes Shipwrecked looks really interesting so that's a real possibility for the future!
Love the STW tune, reminds me of flowers (wink, wink)
lol, I see part that bunnyman and you bring meat. I exactly know what happen next😂😂😂😂
Same mistake as I do🎉
But that's the thing, how are you suppose to even figure that out in a game such as this? It's really in the small details if you want to survive in this game 😆
For crock pot situation here are my tips:
1 Monster meat is fine but when you get two you are going to poison your food with monsterness.
Crock pot food follows 2 different logics. 1 is general presets where food gets tagged as "meat" "veggie" "fruit" etc.
The other is specific food items having special dishes. Knowing the general food is good enough for beginners so here they are:
Meatballs(your hunger fixer) requires any unit of meat(can be monster meat) and 3 filler(mostly any food although some cause special recipes.)
Taffy(since u like bees): just 4 honey in crock pot. Sanity fixer other than flowers.
Pierogi(gives 40 hp): 1 egg 1 meat 1 vegetable and 1 filler. (I usually go 2 carrots 1 monster meat and 1 egg.)
Honey ham(good heal good food mix of everything.): 2 big meats(the ones you use for hambat) and 2 honey.
Haha, Taffy since I like bees, you noticed huh? Honey ham was totally my jam there for a bit. One monster meat is all for me from now on, wasted too many great meals due to having two in the pot, not good! Thanks for all the tips m8!
how dose this only have 100 veiws, this is great
It's slowly getting better, thank you so much for reaching out and watching the video, have a good one!
Eggs can make one of the best foods in the game in the crockpot, if you add in meat and vegetables 👀
Second, the portable light sources are really strong.
This is actually quite good. I used to play this game a lot. Not that I was ever that good lol.
I don't think I'll ever reach stardom in this game either 😅

Great to hear, thank you!
Love this! Would love a 200 days
Ask and thou shalt receive...in a hopefully not too distant future! Glad you enjoyed it, cheers!
oh man this video is great, i hope the youtube algorithim gives u more attention!!! quality and entertaining, u've got another sub from me! :D
Thank you, much appreciated! Stay tuned for more, cheers!
I was equally confused when I played the game for the first time and I’m still not great at the game, I just learned to cheat 😂 looking forward to the next video!
That's how I would describe it aswell, confused! How long have you played? Thank you, glad to have you onboard!
That's a nice real name why you need to. He's a tree giant. You did something that treats you're trying to chop too many trees. He's summon you won't guess he spent point more trees
I'll have to be more careful in the future, not chopping too many trees in the same area perhaps?
Yes... ANOTHER ONE JOINS THE CLAN!
It has begun…
@@Babaganuushmark my words... once you open up Don't Starve Together (preferrably solo) you will have to relearn everything all over again. you will enter a new hell
I've acquired the "Together"-game, but I'll do it solo! Entering hell any minute now!
This is so funny because we all did these mistakes in the start too
Thanks for your honesty!
The death to the rabbits was like an actual horror scene. That was truly terrifying.
I still lie awake at night...
@@BabaganuushI hope you continue the series.

Pleased to have you with us, I intend to!
bro i cringed so hard when you burned all those berry bushes down
You're not alone, friend!
I miss the day in DS when everything is new discovery😊
Ah, to be as innocent and curious of what Don’t Starve has to offer that you die around every corner… is that what you really want? 😂
One mosnter mear + 3 carrot and/or berry's = meat balls
+75 food
+3 hp
+5 sanity
Dragon pie
1x dragon fruit, 3 twigs
75 food
40 hp
5 sanity
Thank me later
Damn, lots of tips and suggestions here! you can plant flowers?
@@Babaganuush no. It regenerate (regrow) when rain happened
tip, use 1 meat (any kind) and 3 ice to cheaply make meat balls (meat balls heal you)
I didnt find any ice in the base game though? But I guess this will work in DST?
My nerves are shot after watching you craft that torch but not realize you did and die @8:00
ahah right! I should've equiped it :/
Loved it. Thank you for trying it out without any experience :) At the end it was all very easy, right? The game IS easy :)
I wouldn't say easy yet, but I got better! :) Great to hear, I just released a follow up!
This was quite a good watch!!
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you!
Only 335 subs your so underated
Thank you! Who knows, maybe I’ll get lucky soon. But I’m super happy you are here and enjoying the content so far, have a good one, cheers!
amazing video!
You’re amazing! Thank you so much for reaching out, you have a good one, cheers!
Then I think I'll go for the DLC or DST instead of going into that door. I'll be sure to check them out!
I think I'm leaning towards DST now actually, might add even more of a challenge if they've added all seasons and probably a lot of other stuff that I cant even imagine right now, might make it really fun discovering all that
more of this please!
Workin on it! Thanks for stopping by :)
This is reminding me of my poor choice of having no DS experience then deciding to main Wes
I've heard about poor choices before but this takes the cake! (I've never myself played Wes, only heard of his existence)
@@Babaganuush LMAOOOOO idec tbh though, I enjoy the challenge playing Wes :] he’s silly
He’ll be somewhere surrounded by two Maxwell statues that you need to break and fight off some tough waves of clockworks to free him. Helluva fight Ill tell you that much 😭
@@FreelyColorful Oh, thought it was random. I'll see if I dare to venture back to unlock this guy or if I'll ignore his cries for help.
46:57 - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO - TEH BUNNEHS!
I'm never getting close to another bunny ever again!
Great video! Hope you get more popular soon.
Thank you so much captain!
