Felice giornata.
Manilo Etrta, I am not sure about the great influence on Mozart and Haydn, as Mozart is very unlikely to be affected by somebody, In terms of his later works... nothing alike ever existed, if we consider his piano concerts. However, only a minor early influence can be taken into consideration.
After all the madness and insane world we live in, it's so conferring to listen to such beautiful music... like this one. Thank you so much for sharing Boccherini.

That’s fine, except this music is *not* Baroque but 100% Classical as it shares the same musical language and aesthetic of Mozart and Haydn; in fact, Boccherini acquired in his own lifetime the unfortunate nickname of ‘la femme de Haydn’.

Another wonderful collection by Brilliant Classics, giving us interpretations of Boccherini's works that seem fresh & modern, not merely "authentic." Personally, I particularly appreciate the strength of expression by Ensemble Claviere - full of joy & energy; some performances of Boccherini, although lyrical, even delicate, miss this happy force that they bring to us in this presentation. Thanks to all.
Michael, I totally agree with your comment. I love the energy and passion that these great musicians put into their performance. Luigi would be pleased...
Boccherini's sound and melody are comfortable to the ears and the mind There is something extraordinary in this splendid performance From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
I have always liked what I have heard of Boccherini. There is a demand for attention and freshness in these works. Thank you for compiling them for us to hear all these centuries later
It's Classical/Rococo. Baroque ended by the 1730s, but it completely died out by 1750s, and replaced with the Classical style of music of both Rococo (1730s-1780s) and Romantic (later by the early 1800s).
I came to know about Boccherini through a CD, containing his minuet, named Editor's Choice released by the newspaper Times Of India in the late 80's or early 90's. Minuet was so cute that I used to hear it repeatedly! The other compositions of the great maestro attracted my attention only a few years ago through you tube music, Spotify, etc. If you want to judge the popularity of Boccherini gems like the magical fandango to the night life in Madrid you have to go through the comments portion of online music channels. Brilliant classics has tried in their own way to cement the place of Boccherini among the greats of western classical/baroque music. Thanks BC, whichever way you can take it - Boccherini Classics or Brilliant Classics, as they say in advertisements - " made for each other"!
I myself, a cellist, have always enjoyed Composers such as Bach, and Weinberg, and more. I firmly believe that in order for a composer to leave a mark, they must grasp the attention of an audience from the first measure. If this interest is not achieved, it is very difficult to be remembered
I've always listened to Classical music when I was little and I'm almost 21 I'm never to old for Classical composers and Classical music I've been listening to classical music for years
Muchas gracias por compartir y darmelo a conocer. Me encanta.
THANK YOU Brilliant Classics for your wonderful recordings of Boccherini's music! He is my favorite of all composers - I am intrigued/enthralled/enchanted by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven and a whole host of lesser known composers, but Boccherini is the one who consistently resonates with my soul.
The link I keep pasting keeps getting deleted, I don't know why. Please type Jospeh Bologne here on UA-cam and take a listen at the playlist that's 1:19:52
Boccherini belongs to the renowned group of Baroque music composers: Corelli,Scarletti,Telemann,. Haendl,Bach,Pachelbel ,Vivaldi,et al,&who composed music in almost the same style,The difference in their music, would mainly lie in the deployment of the string instruments, basically the composition of the orchestra,&makes alot of difference to the ear and the soul of the listener( eg the same way as Schubert vs Mozart ln thei sonatas/quartets etc )Listening to the Baroque music by the Baroque Composers, one will find one piece of music more soothing/touching the soul than the other,It will in my opinion ,be futile to compare one with the other.,as all are equally enjoyable,(depending on the mood of the listener) Wish all listeners "Good Listening"
Unfortunately, Luigi Boccherini (1743 - 1805) is entirely a Classical composer; your comment is totally mistaken and misleading as barely a note of his enormous output can be labelled Baroque. Boccherini’s dates show that he was born 11 years after Haydn, and 13 years before Mozart, and he died 4 years before Haydn, and 14 after Mozart. Most of the Baroque composers you listed were all born in the previous century; whatever possessed you to post such an absurd comment ?
Just to add my voice in saying that Boccherini is more than his minuet and deserves to be better known as a way of thanks for uploading this ... Mind you, he does have the distinction of having penned the non-verbal musical symbol of high culture, high society, elegance, fine eating and art galleries so he is famous for a good reason.
The music that blossomed in the 18th century testifies that this historical period truly WAS the Age of Enlightenment. Not only did the music enlighten the ears and souls, but also the advancements in the instruments themselves. The piano forte gave birth, along with the improved clarinet. What a marvelous period in Western civilization!

Boccherini, where have you been all my life? First time listener.
Exactly what I scrolled down to write after half an hour or so of listening!
Same here and now I'm in love. The energy he creates while playing is just beautiful❤ . He most definitely needs a Grammy award lol
Me to!😁
Surely, you've heard his Minuet for String Quartet before. You probably just didn't realize it was Master B.
As I begin this day, help me to remember that I belong to you. Guide my spirit through your wisdom so that I do not stumble or falter as I walk in your path. Amen.
Boccherini is so underrated. Thanks for the chance to reappreciate his magical works. 💚💚💚
Reason I found out about him is by Twoset Violin when string quintet in G Major would start playing
I really like the great Italian composers and the beautiful Italian language (operas). Luigi Boccerini, a genius.

This is wonderful! This poor underrated composer deserves all of the wonderful attention you give him. Thank you!
Boccherini is a very nice composer he was very good playing all the instruments
One of my favourite composers, his music is very like mozart or haydn as they all lived at more or less the same time in the 18c.
You are right! I love him so much but he is underrated especially in Italy, his homeland. Shame.

Wonderful music! Thank you for showing me that Boccherini is more than just his minuet.
The very Baroque music ever.
Are you sure it’s Baroque and not a bit later?
It's Classical/Rococo. Baroque ended by the 1730s, but it completely died out by 1750s, and replaced with the Classical style of music of both Rococo (1730s-1780s) and Romantic (later by the early 1800s).
Superb composer! Nothing needs to be added to his genre, or, as they say, if it ain't baroque, don't fix it!

Sorry for discovering him so late. İ havent heard his name in my country Turkey. Wonderfull!
Hi Sefika
I have been listening to Boccherini's works since 1999, I am from Turkey too. Enjoy the beautiful music and stay safe.
hi @sefika
I myself, a cellist, have always enjoyed Composers such as Bach, and Weinberg, and more. I firmly believe that in order for a composer to leave a mark, they must grasp the attention of an audience from the first measure. If this interest is not achieved, it is very difficult to be remembered
I've always listened to Classical music when I was little and I'm almost 21 I'm never to old for Classical composers and Classical music I've been listening to classical music for years
It is August 28, 2021 close to 10:00 am;. Boccherini is perfect, so beautiful.
Un deleite para nuestros oídos y mente
Resplendent . I adore this. To think that I teased a co-worker in the 1960's for rushing home to hear him on the radio ! Magnificent, Thank You.
BRAVOOO, Syl's got it 1,000% spot~bang onnnnn>>"RESPLENDENT" INDEED!!!! :-))))).....THE perfect adjective to apply to the LEGEND Boccherini !!!!
I'm so angry that I didn't know him before now.

Telemann e poi Boccherini. Un intero secolo di grazia e leggerezza. 🙏👍🌺

a true talent and an excellent dresser
I only know of Boccherini from reading the Aubrey/Maturin novels of Patrick O'Brian. Wonderful music!
That's what brought me here, the soundtrack to Master and Commander, then I wanted more Boccherini!
Amazing! Boccherini was for a time undervalued and demoted. I like how BC rescues some of these "lost" treasures...
un piacere per l'anima. Il Fandango e' eccezionale. Grazie.
for every situation and emotion in my life.Against daily stress. I adore this music

Thanks.
A virtuoso.
Maraviglia
The miracle that was Boccherini ! xxxxxxx
A pleasure to listen to 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻🎶❤️🎼🎶❤️🎼🎶❤️🎼

Muchas gracias😍😘🙋🏽
Recobremos nuestra hispanidad.

Molto bene grazie Evitaeterna.
Please luxuriate on Joseph Bologne too. He will change your life!
@@lizamakalima8461 are there any pieces of his that you particularly recommend?
The link I keep pasting keeps getting deleted, I don't know why. Please type Jospeh Bologne here on UA-cam and take a listen at the playlist that's 1:19:52
@@lizamakalima8461 thanks - I've listened to some of his stuff since you mentioned him - he is a great find!
The Stabat Mater is surpassingly beautiful.
Excellent, thank you very much. Boccherini, you're a great genius and your soul is beautiful!

COMO é bom ouvir músicas clássicas!!!
Maravillosa interpretación de Boccherini, gracias Ilonka. Bendiciones.
Sounds so lovingly pleasing to my senses !

Boccherini’s music is great! Listening to his music can feel his joy, sadness and anticipation of a new life.
We agree😉
You Tube wants commercials I just want music. Esoteric composers are my pick to reduce the stress.
Qué chulada de arte. Muchas gracias.
What a great performance!
Excellent!
Bravi!!!
Omg! Very proggresive, raw baroque, but with a touch of modernism, a futurist composer, thx for the upload ❤😊👍
I keep coming back to this!
