I know, they want a 2 hand phone on the front. Want a bigger screen? Unfold it, that's the point. The front screen is meant to be for quick 1 handed use
@@ridingwithsam It's cumbersome to use the cover screen with large hands. Typing on the tiny cover screen keyboard is a challenge. Motorola has had the better cover screen for 2 years now. Refinement is nice but what are they ACTUALLY bringing new to Flip6 cover screen

I pre-ordered mine by trading in my fold 5 and upgraded to the 1 Tb, plus adding a cover and screen protector and total cost? Right under 1000 bucks. Nobody can't beat the aggressive discounts Samsung offers so it was a no brainer for me. I can't wait. 😊

I recently bought a used fold 4 to test out a foldable phone. The multi-tasking and software are amazing. The part that stood out to me was 7 years of updates and a stronger hinge and folding screen. I miss my ultra camera but i like the large screen. Hopefully an ultra fold 7. I do like the refinement of the device.
Will there be a Ultra Fold6 model to compete with the Oneplus Open????

A lot of other early reviews said it's not worth as if everyone is holding a fold5. Matter of fact guys who like me who still rocking S21 found it way cheaper to trade in for this than running into a shop for a fold 5 at the moment. Actually it's probably the cheapest 1TB phone on the market. Ordered one with $1600 aud which is unbeatable.
Those dated old cameras though, especially what you get with OnePlus open. Pixel Fold 2 likely will have better camera's as well.

Has anyone seen the black one? It has a texture on the back, but I don't think it's carbon fiber. It didn't look that way when I saw it. Its a texture that provides grip.

I'm upgrading from the Fold 4, and AT&T had a better deal than Samsung (getting the buds pro also). The specs look about the same, so I'm hoping the new processor makes the upgrade worth while. Great video!

Pre ordered the silver for 50% through work. They were also doing the pro ear buds, but I didnt want to take the risk as my last set of buds kept falling out!
Don't care about small front screen, it's logical...do care that there's still a visible crease. OP sorted that last year how has Samsung not

They probably have sorted it but not at the price they're willing to pay in different materials and probably affecting internals. Keep in mind that many Chinese companies of all types (and especially tech) operate at a loss with government support to gain market share and monopolies.

They don't stack. If you use the promotional credit you get $100, but it doesn't use the $50 reservation credit. It's either or

Rozetked just did their initial review of the Fold 6/Flip 6. Their impression was the phone is nice but very iterative. No sense upgrading unless your phone is older than Z Fold 4. The main question was: why is the "Fast" charge still at only 25W?
Z Fold4 and earlier is a great upgrade. Z5? Not so much.
That's my question as well....they supposedly have a large vapor chamber in the fold 6 which would help with thermal management.. Yet only 25 w charging...

Space, good, camera good (besides on Snapchat ofc *apple monopoly) and definitely a GAMING phone. Never gamed more with any other phone and loving it.
One plus open 2 will be my next choice
If you have an older phone it's best to go with your carrier you get a much better trade it value for what I just looked up

Samsung's unwillingness to genuinely compete with better foldable form factors has made their foldable line a lot harder to get excited about. I'm waiting for the OP Open 2...which will likely blow this out of the water.
I think the problem is what apple has done with the iPhone. For most slab phones, appple sets the trends and most follow one way or another. For foldables it's Samsung's court to set trends to inovate or not.
Unfortunately there choosing to stay the course and update in minor ways. Also they are outing ALOT of rnd into AI stuff that most probably won't use much of. I hope the oneplus open or pixel fold and rock the boat a bit but considering there market share it's probably not gonna do much.
For the flip, the RAZR (if it stays reliable) is looking like the better buy on paper but again there a much smaller share over samaung

All I know is it’s textured. How or what I don’t know. I haven’t seen it in person
It is a matte/powder texture. It's not shiny like the prior ones. They're all like that. I don't think the texture on the back is carbon fiber. Its definitely not like carbon fiber wraps you see on cars. It has grooves like a speaker grill. It looks really nice.
I asked, if I preorder the 512G samsung reps say it is NOT upgrading to 1T storage free. Where do I challenge this upgrade promo.

The information I was given from Samsung was wrong and I didn't find out until after this morning when the video went live. The only thing that gets $1000+ for the Flip is with TMO Magenta Max. Sorry for the bad info.
Love Samsung's hardware but i prefer Google's software. If only Google can step it up in the hardware department...sigh 😔

You get to use it towards accessories and other purchases.
But does it apply to the phone purchase or after it? When I go in I don't see any additional discount applied compared to your link and without it. Yes I added the charger to my cart and see no difference so unless they give it to you after you get your phone? And yes I am in the USA.

Hey mate!.. In Australia you will be paying $2949AUD For the 512gb.. What a rip off UNLESS you have a trade in which again they rip us off down here with terrible trade value.. Too expensive for basically the same as year before & still with mid range phone camera..

I have owned flip,flip 3,fold 3,fold 4 and fold 5. Every one of them made awful sounds when opening after a few months. The fold 3 was quiet for 6months, fold 5 took 3 weeks to get noisy. 🤷♂️
In Europe they want €1300 with my fold 5, goodluck to that, I'd rather burn the 1300
The launch event was great for the watch and ring but the foldable phones were unimpressive. All I took away was Google's innovation... The model and magician.. nothing impressed me about the foldables. Will now wait to see what vivo and honor have to offer.

Bottom line Samsung is not improving their foldables. They’re still too narrow and therefore trash. Plus getting more expensive. Everyone having or wanting a z fold…go for the z fold 4 or 5 or just grab one plus open/ honor magic v2

They are definitely not trash lol it's a great phone. Fold 4 owner and i still really enjoy mine. Also I dont agree that if you want a better foldable "get One Plus or Honor V2"... while they are great spec and design wise they are not available in many markets and don't offer the software support and ecosystem Samsung offers. But Fold owners like myself have been wanting a wider cover screen and as close to crease-less inner screen as possible. They have to be the most requested design changes and they have not improved by much since the Fold 3.
You just don't get why they are making narrow outer screens lol that wider outer screen ratio will literally affect inner screen ratio to be total trash. Samsung just wants you to spend more time on the inner display. Narrower outer screen means great one handed usability and Samsung is confident with their durability of the inner display than the Chinese ones, so they are telling you to use inner screen more often. And plus, Samsungs approach makes it better when watching videos. Just a dumb way to say "bigger outer screen means better".
Loool no. do not mis-inform these people. The Z fold 5 yes. Anything from the 4 on down, the hinge will not last no more than a year.
Samsung is getting lazy for what they offer. The Chinese folds puts Samsung to shame. The only thing Samsung have is the software when compared to them.
