What is your opinion of a Democrat President who ordered his troops into a war for no good reason then tried to cover it up? Once the bullets fly, soldiers fight for each other. Read H.R. McMaster’s “Dereliction of Duty” then place the blame where it belongs.

In the early 70s, I was raised in Yonkers NY. I belonged to tough military family of Army,Air Force, and Marines. My grandfather USMC was a WWII Combat vet and my uncle USMC Vietnam Combat vet.
One day during the early 80s I was at West Point. My dad and uncle were in their dress uniform. Every time we passed a cadet, they would stop what their doing and salute my uncle and father. I was overcome be emotions and very proud of my dad and uncle.
I am now a retired old school cop. Many around me during my career said I was a tough one. I was not tough, I just learned to do my job without complaining. Finish the task assigned to me.
I am proud of my tough upbringing which made me realize what is important in life.
Hal Moore …. Your legacy will not be forgotten. Godspeed and thank you. 🇺🇸

He showed what true devotion, leadership, and unit cohesion and integrity are all about. You have no unit, without your men. Whatever the unit does, it does because of the soldiers and sailors you have trained, coddled, taught, supported, supplied and led. Most of all, you have nothing unless you like your people - and communicate that to them. Once they understand that, you have them forever. There is nothing - NOTHING - quite so humbling as to be entrusted with the welfare or your troops and sailors, and to go with them on a mission. Anyone who's held command will never forget it, will look back on it as the highlight of their life, and will not shrink from it if it's ever offered again

A warrior-poet and a great man. A man who met with his NVA counterpart many years after the battle and embraced him as a brother. A man who, through his combination of capacity for merciless violence, humbling bravery and deep compassion for his fellow man, including those he had to kill when the time came, can quite literally reduce me to tears.

The only thing that saved his men in IaDrang valley that day was his leadership and overwhelming firepower. He stood toe to toe with an enemy force 7 times his size and left no one behind. He learned from the French but did not repeat their mistakes. This is what true leading from the front looks like and unfortunately that kind of leadership is fast disappearing. He took a fresh untested unit and the y performed absolutely flawless

Anyone who's ever sent youngsters into danger is changed themselves by it too. There is no finer honor than to lead and command and WATCH OVER people like this. It sears the soul and makes one thankful that they were deemed "just good enough" to be that leader.
