Mountain Gorilla Trekking - Southwest Uganda

In January 2024 we had the absolute privilege of spending an hour in the presence of the majestic Mountain Gorillas in Southern Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is a Unesco World Heritage Site home to half of the world population of this species which lives in high mist-covered forests at approximately 2000m above sea level.

How do avoid or manage so many flies that are around....

Good question! Long clothing and insect repellent. Although the insects seemed more interested in the Gorillas rather than us 😁
