I first became aware of The Mountains of the Moon as a teenager in the 1970s, reading an article in a copy of National Geographic that was so old it was printed before the 1950s color photo issues. But even then, the astonishing plants and mists of that amazing terrain captivated me. I always hoped I could go there some day. This beautiful video is a very nice replacement for that trip I was not able to take. Thank you so much for this stunning footage.

I walked the Rwenzori hike in 1983 and loved it. I went in January when it was supposed to be the dry season, yet it rained nearly all day, every day. I wonder what the rainy season is like. I see that the huts have been improved, and now there is a boardwalk across the Lower Bigo Bog. Back in 83' you had to slog your way through and I wouldn't want it different.
I have never seen flora like that anywhere else. It almost looks like another planet. I wish I was younger because I'd love to see this place for myself.

+Mikronesien05 yes, the trekking was hard, but so rewarding. So glad I finally did it, and also disappointed the weather was harsh at the high altitudes and I was not able to hike to the glacier.
