Playing a HexaSorcadin now. Shield +1, defensive fighting style, full plate, and a Shield spell at the ready. So effectively walking around at an AC 27, if he has a reaction available. Shield of Faith on top of that and you’re nearly unstoppable at 29. The sorcerer fuels more smites, and the character is good at range. He can heal others (meta magic: distant spell). Also doubles the Eldritch Blast range to 240 feet. (meta magic). Fun build.
Love the DND content. Hexblade actually plays well with my favorite class shadow sorcerer. It's just hard to decide when to make the 2 level dip for hexblade. But shadow sorcerer is fire man and I love hexblades as well.
Sorcerer Hexblade combo is super powerful. I'm assuming you were using darkness with devil sight which is a crazy combo for advantage
@@strawhatboys actually I was banned from multiclassing
Right now my new character for Curse of Strahd (Going through the introductory adventure Death House), I made a Fire Genasi Blood Hunter to try something I've never tried before. So hyped for the second session Thursday.
Why would you invest in strength? The big thing about hexblade is the fact that you can hit with your CHR instead of str so u can keep it at 15 or 13 and not have to worry about it.
Mainly cuz I wanna use a heavy weapon day one
Great video! Building my character around this guide, just a quick question, what would you recommend up to level 12? More levels in warlock for improved pact weapon or continue with paladin?
I do think I would go a couple more warlock levels for exactly what you said. A couple blasty spells from the warlock list and another short rest spell slots AND the pact of the blade feature would be a nice addition…… sorry for the late response, hopefully your character came out effective
Nice work, ty!
Why are you boosting strength the hexwarlock let’s you use charisma to fight
It’s mainly cuz I want to use a heavy weapon from the start
Uhm ... you took hexblade, but don't actually use the single attribute dependency? Maybe think about a different patron, then. Undead, possibly, to cause fear with every hit. Just seems like a waste to choose a patron and then not take advantage of it's abilities.
I did that for the shield spell and for a long range option and for a smite that comes back on short rests AND to still be able to use heavy weapons from the jump. I do get what you’re saying though and going a route where you’re utilizing the charisma feature might overall be better long term, but I personally didn’t necessarily need it for my vision of this character
