I heard you say is easier to do if the deck is so I thought Great my deck is off However I put my Snow Plow on Sunday and it was a chore for me and I wasn't going to take it off to change the oil! Well you know how the rest of it went, Yes I had oil all over the frame for the plow as well as struggling with taking out the oil plug. My plug had a 5//16 Allen head Pipe plug but it went pretty good. But this was the last time I will do it that way for sure. At my cottage 150 miles North of Me I have a Cub Cadet SLTX 1054 and I have a Mityvac Fluid Evacuator and I just put the end of the tube down the dipstick hole and less than 2 minutes I am all done and can litterly wear a white shirt to change my oil. But the video was very helpful as I wasn't sure where the drain plug was! Cheers!
I believe I asked you this before. Do you come across these series ones that don’t smoke? I have an 1981 782 but it’s a bad smoker and I’d like to keep it original as it’s IH built vs replacing it with a low hour series 2 that I have for a spare. Please let me. Thank you
@@macklandcadets Hello From Mark In Kentucky; According to the owners manual, They mentioned a “Low Ash” engine oil. Is that the same as the old non-detergent engine oil. I always used SAE30HD and always had good results with no problems. So the KT17 Series 2 oil plug is located in the area under the PTO - Very Interesting!!!

I Appreciate you Watching, and you’re Correct with a Mule Drive, Deck, or a Snow Plow, they’re Difficult!!
How did you decode the month and year of the manufacture? Thanks, Greg

I Get a Lot of 782 into Mackland, and in Various Conditions! I Probably get more of the CCC in over the IH Built Ones!
Hey Jimmy, about those Goodyear ribbed tires (2:52) Do they work as well as turf tires in the snow?
I Like them Also, and Most all Sales Brochures, Displayed them Tire’s , in The Pictures!

What brand of oil?
I used Brad Penn 10wx30 Green Oil, they Don’t Refine the Zinc out of it and it Holds Up Well in Small Motors, also a Local Company from Bradford Pa!

Manual does mention the old IH low ash oil, However I'm not sure it's available anymore..at least not through the Caseih dealers
