  • Look at this guys! What an awesome little engine this H76 turns out to be! We'll open the box, lube, fuel, and add a set of batteries for a trial run. We'll take a quick look at #1 of 5 D.C. generators that I am building to sell. We're also going to address a few new upcoming projects! Once again, Thank you all for watching, commenting, and Subscribing.

I am added normally too, and very fans for it! 15 batteries seems excessive though...

The squeeking is the cylinders, its the machining

These little engines use an o ring for the piston rings, I would think that if the cylinder were that poorly machined, it would destroy the o rings in a matter of seconds. I am going to spend some time with this engine (off camera) to see if I can add ball bearings for main bearings. I'm sure that it will make another appearance soon. I did notice that the crank is shimmed all the way to the cam gear side, maybe that was an assembly issue? Thank you for watching and commenting, I'll be sure to check it out 👍

@@steam212 i had a flame licker engine once that would squeak like this and it would seize up so i lightly smoothed the bore but the piston was too loose so it didnt run so i got rid of it. That had a rope seal or somthing i remember it was a cheaply made thing from germany horrible quality it was😞

Oh yeah. This caught my eye a lot and I have put it on my list. You are ahead of me, my friend;) There is a lot to like about this model from the model engineer's point of view. First solidity of build. Next, bearings seem to be bushes with oil cups, not the atrocious bearings Microcosm's first big pioneering horizontal engines had. Next, cam and cranks easy to oil and grease. Nice one Jin. I think the ebay price will come down too; it's already pretty good.

23:03 I wanna see this thing turning one of your generators! Make it work hard let's see one of these things pulling as much load as it can.
Be interesting to see how many watts you can get out of it, too.

20:57 I might pick this one up. Looks like the same crummy carb my M-17b has, but this thing can pull enough air through it to make it work. Hmm.

8:59 My problem with those fuels...they cost a fortune and they aren't oily enough. I can mix up a gallon of E0 at 25:1....which is really about as thin as I dare go on a 2-stroke gasoline brew...for less than half the cost of a can of TruFuel or that VP premix or whatever. And if I really want to pinch a penny or two....which I do...I'll just use regular ass E-10 87 octane because it lasts just fine. I don't have regular E-10 go bad on me. Lotta people cry 'BUT IT KILLS WALBRO CARBS' or 'BUT IT GOES BAD' and Im' just like 'owner issue lol'.
Well, that, and in my experience Microcosm engines don't like gasoline very much anyway. My M-17b runs a hell of a lot better on zippo lighter fuel than it ever did on gasoline. In fact it barely even ran at all on gasoline.

Both cylinders fire at once, rather than alternatively

I have the same issue with flooding the cylinders , even though the spark is firing I feel the CDI is weak. Don't get me started on crappy valve design on Microcosm engines. These should be sold sub $200 . Every single microcosm engine is full of issues

But they CAN be made to run. My Microcosm tractor and SAM have perfect compression and start and run so easily with a flick of the wrist. I have disassembled, retuned and crucially, seated those valves. And I wouldn't have them if it weren't for Jin at Microcosm.

@@ThomasPCGuruENGINES maybe it's my luck with this engine I got from them. Spent hours to get it to run well then out of no where it bugged out. Less than 2 hours of run
