If you have the castle print, instead of using the dark threads ,use many bright colors where the dark is make flowers and grasses and brighten up the castle with more colors where needed.
The point of this video is not what i can do, but what you will receive for your money.

No that bunny is still huacan. They still are putting out some 40 (and sometimes more) color kits. You can tell because of the product number. Those kits that have ACC or AEE or something like that are huacan. Also what helps to know is if they don't give you big size of the picture on pattern. The kits with 60000 on them do give a picture on the pattern. (Those are almost always lovely). That is what is so difficult about huacan now. It REAllY is hit or miss because they still do have some good kits with a good amount of colors. But now I think most companies have identified that brand. And I've seen more than one website tell us 28 colors. Honestly though they should include that for all kits and let us be fully informed before we buy. I email a bunch and ask about a bunch of kits color counts so hopefully they will tire of looking into it and just post information online.😊👍🏾💜

I will order the wax from fansells and the scissors tonight. I am going to try to stay away from Huacan brand. Hope fansells will separate them out or label them. Afraid to order anything other than Joy Sunday and Spring brand from fansells now. I do like the no name brand and have ordered the ones you have reviewed but have also gotten some of those DIY brand which I didn’t know was going to be the DIY brand which I didn’t know I would get and hoped it would be no name brand. I’m not so sure I like DIY brand so I hope fansells will label or separate like they do with Joy Sunday and Spring brand. Thank you for your continuous HONEST review. That is an idea. If you can find the same canvas from another company, make a comparison between the two.
I also get upset when the budget companies do not list by brand. I also want them to have a thread count for the kit.
We have to remember these are budget companies. Their top priority is money. The cheaper they can make the no name kits, it's more money in their pockets.
I like the no name brand and of course Joy Sunday is always top quality.
Thank you for the warning on the Huacan brand. Problem would be how do we know if that is the brand we want. I actually looked at that hummingbird to do for my wife and her twin sisters. But now after this, that answer is NO.

So far only ordering from vip cross stitch as for the 28 count I think on very small projects 1 thread is sufficient two threads stretches the holes and the stitches end up looking all wonky. Great commentary on the bad kits . You just saved a lot of us a lot of frustration !
You could wash it out and put a Triton and other Ukranian details, do whatever you want, the canvas seems a decent quality
Those 2 Waxes i have orded, they look so cute. Have you seen the Thing to store needels in, it is with color and I think some silikone or robber.
Have you ever gotten any stamped cross stitch or Diamond paintings from Temu? I am working on what I think is a stamped cross stitch angel. The picture on the site was not very clear. It’s an angel ( I think) with red wings. It was a little over 3 dollars. It has 22 colors, 11 count. The only number on it was VIP005. So I think it’s from vipcrossstitch. The chart is tiny!!! I’m not sure yet how it will turn out. A lot of confetti. I almost stopped stitching on it! I got 2 Diamond painting for my granddaughters. They are very small. Thanks!

I agree, you shouldn't have to do anything about the chart. My eyesight isn't too good and I've mislaid the magnifier that hangs from my neck, so I'd have a lot of trouble here. If they cannot supply a good chart, then at least provide an address to a page on their website, so you can print off a magnified version, in say, 4 pages of it. Thanks for the warning.
StitchArella brought up the exact same things in her video last week. She was so angry because all the crossstitch she’d received, were ALL 28 count and when you look at the designs on paper, you know that the ones that are 28 count should have like 36 or 48 or even 56 colors and yet, they’re putting in 28 colors. She was so very angry when she did this video you should really watch it because she went through quite a few kits, where she showed you that they’re trying to be cheap by using only 28 colors and especially the ones that come from the one company that we all love to hate, DIY. She gave Fansells and Bettercrafts and a couple other companies a little bit piece of her mind because she said even they should know better because if they’re in the business of selling these products, they know that those kits should be more than 28 colors and I have to agree.
I think that if we continue to struggle with this issue of the 28 colors and the printing of the patterns, that we should stop spending our money with them (YES, I’m talking to you Fansells and Biggest Crafts!) because there is a saying that goes, “money talks, BS walks”, and if they cannot give us what we ask for and stop being so cheap about everything, then we don’t have to give them any money at all. They depend on us, more than we depend on them; because if Crosstitch disappeared tomorrow, guess what? There’s crocheting, there’s quilting, there’s sewing, there’s macramé, there’s painting, etc. and I can and will do those instead. But let’s be honest, these kits are bargain basement cheap anyway, because if you were to get a really nice quality Crosstitch, at these sizes, it’s not gonna be as cheap as the ones we get from these guys anyway and they know that. So they feel that we should be “grateful” to them for the kits that we’re getting at the prices that we are, because an actual, really nice, good quality kit, with REAL DMC threads, would probably cost us around $80 to a $150 at the sizes we get from them. I am grateful that we can get these kits but I also don’t expect to be ripped off just because we are not getting the super best quality kits from them. It’s still my money and I want to get what I pay for and if this is what they consider good kits, with crappy printed designs and 28 colors, then I’ll stop buying from now on.
yes, and I would be willing to pay a bit more to get better quality. I don't need to super fancy / best quality, but I don't want to waste my time and money.

Thank you for the great video! Do you know if Huacan could provide a QR code of the pattern(s) to Fansells for their customers? I would consider purchasing a counted kit if I knew that was an option. Otherwise I would not likely purchase a counted kit with a super small pattern unless I was in love with the design.

Soooo, Huacan cross stitch kits are just as bad as their Diamond painting kits. Good to know!
Less color, less interesting to potential customers, less fun to do, definitely bigger squares for the paper chart, got an eye issue now, won't even consider straining my eye, beautiful as pictures are, please fix it, reviews my stop of this brand, Fansells is great this brand , not to much
What a shame.
A wasted shame to have a beautiful design, threads, picture of it, BUT with the "issues" Nataliya has honestly mentioned...a few times, this is also a waste of companies money, Fansells maybe set this brand to side on website so we stitching folks don't waste our money either, that would be a big disappointment
