If the opponent places an Inferno Tower to counter a tank, Skeletons can stall the Inferno Tower for a short time, giving the defender time to place another card to counter it or reset its damage ramp-up. Since it costs only 1 Elixir, it can shuffle the player's deck quickly and add a significant damage boost to an attack. Better yet, since they are also easily defeated by many cards and Crown Towers, not many players are willing to play cards to only take out Skeletons, given that their 1 Elixir cost will almost always result in a negative Elixir trade for the player countering them. They are very good to be split behind the King Tower while shuffling the player's deck, as it can discourage the opponent from immediately attacking either lane, due to the Skeletons' slight defensive presence. Skeletons can provide a cheap, but threatening boost to a small attack due to their Fast move speed and high combined damage. For example, a Miner accompanied by Skeletons will be much more threatening as the opposing player will take much more damage if they ignore it, as opposed to ignoring a lone Miner. Skeletons can be used along with certain other cards like Knight or Mini P.E.K.K.A. to easily counter high damage single-targeting troops like Elite Barbarians and Prince. Use the Skeletons to pull them into the center while absorbing some of the damage then place down Knight or Mini P.E.K.K.A. to finish them off. This can then assist in a counterattack. If the player thinks their opponent will try and send a Goblin Barrel far behind their Princess Tower, they can try and activate their King's Tower. The Skeletons should be split behind the player's King's Tower a few tiles before the barrel's shadow crosses the river. One Skeleton should go in the lane of the barrel while the two go in the other lane. If the opponent does send the barrel to the back of the player's Princess Tower, the Goblins will defeat the Skeletons and one Goblin will head towards the King's Tower afterwards instead of towards the Princess Tower. Even if the opponent does not send the barrel behind the tower, the player will have sufficient Elixir to counter the regular placement. Against an offensive Mortar on the center of the bridge, meet the Mortar vertically and play the Skeletons on the first tile in front of the King's Tower slightly before the Mortar's deploy timer is three fourths of the way finished. The Mortar will fire its shell at the Skeletons just as they are deployed, and the area damage effect will clip the King's Tower, activating it. Skeletons can fully counter a Bandit. Before the Bandit is about to dash, place the Skeletons on the third tile vertically from the King's Tower and the third tile horizontally from the Princess Tower. The front Skeleton should appear to be slightly more forward than the Princess Tower. If executed correctly, the Bandit will be in range of both Princess Towers after her dash, resulted in her being whittled down quickly and getting no hits on the player's tower. Skeletons have very high DPS/Cost ratio. A strategy is to place an Ice Golem to distract a troop, and Skeletons in the opposite of said Ice Golem to severely cripple them, if not, destroy them. Skeletons can be used as a cheap way to kite air troops placed at the center of the arena. Split the Skeletons so that one goes into the lane the air troops is staggered towards, and two go into the other lane. The single Skeleton will tank an attack and buy time for the two Skeletons in the other lane to distance themselves from the air unit, allowing them to live longer. However, this will not work against the Flying Machine, as its sight range is equal to its attack range, meaning that if an enemy walks out of its attack range, it won't try to follow them. To counteract this, players should place Skeletons in front of the Flying Machine to distract it. Placing Skeletons and then placing down a single grounded unit on the same tile right afterwards will cause them to spread further apart from each other while deploying, allowing them to be targeted individually by certain area damage attackers like the Baby Dragon, making them more effective at stalling these units. This tactic is most effective if the grounded unit is a ranged attacker, as it will not continue to collide with the Skeletons upon deployment and will not be susceptible to area damage damage until after all of them are defeated. This tactic is ineffective against cards with a large enough area damage radius, such as the Mega Knight and his jump attack.

The Giant Skeleton card is unlocked from P.E.K.K.A.'s Playhouse (Arena 4). He is a single-target, melee troop with high hitpoints and moderate damage, hitting only ground units with slow attacks. If defeated, he drops a bomb which inflicts moderate damage after 3 seconds in a small radius, and deals double damage to Crown Towers. He appears as a colossal skeleton wearing a brown (team-colored in-game) ushanka with a large gunpowder barrel on his back and a bomb in his hand. A Giant Skeleton card costs 6 Elixir to deploy. Strategy The Giant Skeleton is effective to use as a meat shield for other troops. This makes him a good card to use as a buffer for spawner buildings, as any unit that takes out the Giant Skeleton will be taken out by his bomb afterwards while the spawner cooks up troops. They will continue unopposed to the Crown Tower. However, he is not very interchangeable with a Giant, as the Giant Skeleton can be distracted with any ground unit. The Giant Skeleton's death bomb is useful for weakening or destroying troops that are close together. The death damage is very similar to a Fireball, and it does a similar amount of damage as an equivalent level Mega Knight's jump and spawn damage. Combined with The Log or a Barbarian Barrel, the combo can one-shot Musketeer, Wizard, and the like. Tornado also works well with the Giant Skeleton, helping his death bomb and support troops to hit more units, and also allowing Zap and Giant Snowball to one-shot the weakened troops. Clone can forcibly push an allied Giant Skeleton forward, allowing his death damage to hit the Crown Tower reliably. The Cloned bomb can also help clean up the troops that the opponent used to defend the first Giant Skeleton. If the Giant Skeleton was already attacking the Crown Tower before being Cloned, it is almost a guarantee that his Clone's bomb will also detonate on top of the tower, dealing much more damage for just 3 extra Elixir. Since he moves quite slowly and has a low damage per second, players may need to back him up with splash damage Troops, such as the Witch or Wizard. This gives the Giant Skeleton a higher chance to connect to the Tower. Spells with an unrestricted placement also support a Giant Skeleton well once he has crossed the bridge, decimating swarms placed to destroy him. Fast troops can push the Giant Skeleton forward and allow him to reach the tower more quickly. However, depending on the unit that is used, the main weakness of the push may become amplified (eg. a Mini P.E.K.K.A. combined with a Giant Skeleton is still weak to swarms and air units), so often times more than 1 layer of offense will be necessary. As the Giant Skeleton is easily countered by swarms, a good way to ensure the Giant Skeleton reaches the tower is to deploy him with the Skeleton Army. The skeleton army will surround the Giant Skeleton and defeat any swarms sent to surround him. Furthermore, they will also help damage the tower, and some skeletons can even remain to help deal some extra damage on the King Tower. This however, is easily countered by spells or splash-damaging troops such as the Valkyrie. Pairing the Giant Skeleton with another threatening troop can cause the opponent to split their defenses too thin, allowing one or the other to connect. For example, a Giant Skeleton paired with a Balloon can block air units and protect the Balloon long enough for it to reach the tower. Additionally, the defending units will almost certainly die to one or both of the death bombs, eliminating or weakening the opponent's opportunity to counterpush. However, this push can be extremely weak to air units, so be prepared with counters. The Giant Skeleton is a good way to stop a large push, since he can group the enemies up and his death bomb will cripple the push, allowing other cards to finish everything off. Despite being a negative Elixir trade, the P.E.K.K.A. is a good counter to the Giant Skeleton, since she can easily defeat him and not let the Crown Tower take any death damage. The Inferno Tower is an effective counter. Not only does it cost 1 less but is also less vulnerable to most enemy spells. If needed to be, the Giant Skeleton can be pulled away with another cheap card such as Skeletons. However, an adept Sparky player may preemptively Zap on top of their own Sparky as it crosses the bridge. Players relying on Skeletons to surround and counter her in this situation this will suffer major damage to their Princess Tower, so the player should switch up their tactics.
If the opponent places an Inferno Tower to counter a tank, Skeletons can stall the Inferno Tower for a short time, giving the defender time to place another card to counter it or reset its damage ramp-up.
Since it costs only 1 Elixir, it can shuffle the player's deck quickly and add a significant damage boost to an attack. Better yet, since they are also easily defeated by many cards and Crown Towers, not many players are willing to play cards to only take out Skeletons, given that their 1 Elixir cost will almost always result in a negative Elixir trade for the player countering them. They are very good to be split behind the King Tower while shuffling the player's deck, as it can discourage the opponent from immediately attacking either lane, due to the Skeletons' slight defensive presence.
Skeletons can provide a cheap, but threatening boost to a small attack due to their Fast move speed and high combined damage. For example, a Miner accompanied by Skeletons will be much more threatening as the opposing player will take much more damage if they ignore it, as opposed to ignoring a lone Miner.
Skeletons can be used along with certain other cards like Knight or Mini P.E.K.K.A. to easily counter high damage single-targeting troops like Elite Barbarians and Prince. Use the Skeletons to pull them into the center while absorbing some of the damage then place down Knight or Mini P.E.K.K.A. to finish them off. This can then assist in a counterattack.
If the player thinks their opponent will try and send a Goblin Barrel far behind their Princess Tower, they can try and activate their King's Tower. The Skeletons should be split behind the player's King's Tower a few tiles before the barrel's shadow crosses the river. One Skeleton should go in the lane of the barrel while the two go in the other lane. If the opponent does send the barrel to the back of the player's Princess Tower, the Goblins will defeat the Skeletons and one Goblin will head towards the King's Tower afterwards instead of towards the Princess Tower. Even if the opponent does not send the barrel behind the tower, the player will have sufficient Elixir to counter the regular placement.
Against an offensive Mortar on the center of the bridge, meet the Mortar vertically and play the Skeletons on the first tile in front of the King's Tower slightly before the Mortar's deploy timer is three fourths of the way finished. The Mortar will fire its shell at the Skeletons just as they are deployed, and the area damage effect will clip the King's Tower, activating it.
Skeletons can fully counter a Bandit. Before the Bandit is about to dash, place the Skeletons on the third tile vertically from the King's Tower and the third tile horizontally from the Princess Tower. The front Skeleton should appear to be slightly more forward than the Princess Tower. If executed correctly, the Bandit will be in range of both Princess Towers after her dash, resulted in her being whittled down quickly and getting no hits on the player's tower.
Skeletons have very high DPS/Cost ratio. A strategy is to place an Ice Golem to distract a troop, and Skeletons in the opposite of said Ice Golem to severely cripple them, if not, destroy them.
Skeletons can be used as a cheap way to kite air troops placed at the center of the arena. Split the Skeletons so that one goes into the lane the air troops is staggered towards, and two go into the other lane. The single Skeleton will tank an attack and buy time for the two Skeletons in the other lane to distance themselves from the air unit, allowing them to live longer. However, this will not work against the Flying Machine, as its sight range is equal to its attack range, meaning that if an enemy walks out of its attack range, it won't try to follow them. To counteract this, players should place Skeletons in front of the Flying Machine to distract it.
Placing Skeletons and then placing down a single grounded unit on the same tile right afterwards will cause them to spread further apart from each other while deploying, allowing them to be targeted individually by certain area damage attackers like the Baby Dragon, making them more effective at stalling these units.
This tactic is most effective if the grounded unit is a ranged attacker, as it will not continue to collide with the Skeletons upon deployment and will not be susceptible to area damage damage until after all of them are defeated.
This tactic is ineffective against cards with a large enough area damage radius, such as the Mega Knight and his jump attack.

The Giant Skeleton card is unlocked from P.E.K.K.A.'s Playhouse (Arena 4). He is a single-target, melee troop with high hitpoints and moderate damage, hitting only ground units with slow attacks. If defeated, he drops a bomb which inflicts moderate damage after 3 seconds in a small radius, and deals double damage to Crown Towers. He appears as a colossal skeleton wearing a brown (team-colored in-game) ushanka with a large gunpowder barrel on his back and a bomb in his hand. A Giant Skeleton card costs 6 Elixir to deploy.
Strategy
The Giant Skeleton is effective to use as a meat shield for other troops. This makes him a good card to use as a buffer for spawner buildings, as any unit that takes out the Giant Skeleton will be taken out by his bomb afterwards while the spawner cooks up troops. They will continue unopposed to the Crown Tower. However, he is not very interchangeable with a Giant, as the Giant Skeleton can be distracted with any ground unit.
The Giant Skeleton's death bomb is useful for weakening or destroying troops that are close together. The death damage is very similar to a Fireball, and it does a similar amount of damage as an equivalent level Mega Knight's jump and spawn damage. Combined with The Log or a Barbarian Barrel, the combo can one-shot Musketeer, Wizard, and the like. Tornado also works well with the Giant Skeleton, helping his death bomb and support troops to hit more units, and also allowing Zap and Giant Snowball to one-shot the weakened troops.
Clone can forcibly push an allied Giant Skeleton forward, allowing his death damage to hit the Crown Tower reliably. The Cloned bomb can also help clean up the troops that the opponent used to defend the first Giant Skeleton. If the Giant Skeleton was already attacking the Crown Tower before being Cloned, it is almost a guarantee that his Clone's bomb will also detonate on top of the tower, dealing much more damage for just 3 extra Elixir.
Since he moves quite slowly and has a low damage per second, players may need to back him up with splash damage Troops, such as the Witch or Wizard. This gives the Giant Skeleton a higher chance to connect to the Tower.
Spells with an unrestricted placement also support a Giant Skeleton well once he has crossed the bridge, decimating swarms placed to destroy him.
Fast troops can push the Giant Skeleton forward and allow him to reach the tower more quickly. However, depending on the unit that is used, the main weakness of the push may become amplified (eg. a Mini P.E.K.K.A. combined with a Giant Skeleton is still weak to swarms and air units), so often times more than 1 layer of offense will be necessary.
As the Giant Skeleton is easily countered by swarms, a good way to ensure the Giant Skeleton reaches the tower is to deploy him with the Skeleton Army. The skeleton army will surround the Giant Skeleton and defeat any swarms sent to surround him. Furthermore, they will also help damage the tower, and some skeletons can even remain to help deal some extra damage on the King Tower. This however, is easily countered by spells or splash-damaging troops such as the Valkyrie.
Pairing the Giant Skeleton with another threatening troop can cause the opponent to split their defenses too thin, allowing one or the other to connect. For example, a Giant Skeleton paired with a Balloon can block air units and protect the Balloon long enough for it to reach the tower. Additionally, the defending units will almost certainly die to one or both of the death bombs, eliminating or weakening the opponent's opportunity to counterpush.
However, this push can be extremely weak to air units, so be prepared with counters.
The Giant Skeleton is a good way to stop a large push, since he can group the enemies up and his death bomb will cripple the push, allowing other cards to finish everything off.
Despite being a negative Elixir trade, the P.E.K.K.A. is a good counter to the Giant Skeleton, since she can easily defeat him and not let the Crown Tower take any death damage.
The Inferno Tower is an effective counter. Not only does it cost 1 less but is also less vulnerable to most enemy spells. If needed to be, the Giant Skeleton can be pulled away with another cheap card such as Skeletons.
The Giant Skeleton can be a good tank for pushes in Rage Battles, as his increased speed will force the opponent to put more focus on him to prevent colossal damage to Towers. However, on defense, enemy troops may be able to leave the bomb's range before it detonates.
