Guys I am doing phd in materials engineering. So I know quite familiar with all the technical details discussed here. I must say you guys are very good at explaining the since behind ion implantation
Yes, I was ion implant process engineer for 3 years and they are finance professionals with insight into technology. Yes, I used to dope silicon with phosphorus and boron and arsenic😅
Thank you very much for this video, no one does such a thorough research and analysis of semiconductor companies as you do. great job, you are very helpful to retail investors.
I bought ACLS the end of May 2024 at $112 and just weeks later watched it soar up with an unsettling momentum. I cashed out at $151 and glad I did. It promptly plummeted ⬇️ 35%.
Favorite part " ...we don't think this doping via Ion Implant party is over quite yet..." 🤣 I know you've added Axcelis to your holdings since posting this and it seems to be doing well. Recommend adding a small position at this time? Also, do you have a small cap etf to recommend holding to get a similar smattering of small caps? Thank you for the wealth of information and analysis!
Not sure who commented this, but indeed -- Varian Semi was acquired by AMAT in 2011 I believe. They specialize in ion implantation, and is the main reason that AMAT has share in implantation.
Hey guys… love your analysis. Request: was researching Mythic and stumbled onto Associated Processing Units (APUs) and one of Mythic’s competitors GSI Technology. Can you look into doing a video on GSI… compute in memory seems like it might be the next secular theme in AI inference, etc. Thanks!🎉
Hey there, we've taken a look at this before. GSI does just a few million in revenue a quarter. The industry move is towards HBM (high-bandwidth memory) packaged up with computing accelerators. Not sure how much industry interest is there for these two. Thanks for the question though! Do you have some info that would indicate otherwise?
Hi! Thank you for this and all your other videos! You may have explained this in other videos, but what is your background (both)? Couple of thoughts/questions. (A) I am not sure if you covered this in this video but the Q4 23 slides mention a stock buy back program totalling 300M USD that commenced in March 2022 (Page 28 of their Q4 '23 investor presentation). So thats a little less than 10% of the market cap. I did some back of the envelope calculations, and it seems they may have deployed about 65-75M of that amount since then, leaving about 230M that is still to be deployed. Do you think this could provide some support to the currently falling stock price? And (B) Do you understand the reasons why the stock has been following for almost 3 quarters? That may provide some color on whether we could be nearing a bottom. Is it the fact that they have high revenue exposure to China (50% of revenue) and a slowdown in China affects their topline, or is it something more ominous -- eg. losing Market share to Applied Materials, which I think is the top dog in Ion Implanters? Thank you!
My question is why google alphabet is looking so underrated so far..it's a good stock..but in this AI bull run it's not up to the mark like NVIDIA or some other AI stocks...
Our best guess is Google still gets dinged for the ongoing legal and antitrust cases. But Gemini is legit, really good AI models starting to get deployed.

@@shng7310 do you think ACLS will be vital for wafer manufacturing in the future ? For example with EV chips ?
Excellent review of ACLS. I owned it previously, sold during last year's run up. I'm a bull on AEHR and have that as a small cap long term hold now.

Thank you for the support!
YOU guys were so right!! ACLS has skyrocketed in price! over 15% in 1 day.

Like the videos. I am already in ACLS but planning to hold 5 years plus. Thanks for the update and your take.
you will make millions on ACLS over 5 years.
What a great analysis! Thank you guys! Im already subscribed! 🙏
For me a reasonable price was 122,-. Bought my second tranche today, lets find out where we end up around 2030!
Great analysis. This channel deserves more attention!
Thank you!
Was running varian 350 ion implanter back in 1990s. Varian is predecessor of axcelis. We used 180kv to accelerate the iron.
Super cool! This technology is amazing. Curious, wasn't Varian acquired by AMAT though?
Excellent video ... even better investing advice !!!
Why thanks Elroy!
Your channel is gold.

This is correct, Varian was acquired in 2011 when the ion implant market was very small.

Anyone have a guess of which stock is a better two year investment to buy today,Nvidia or Super Micro Computer ?
Zacks also mentioned this stock recently in the current AI bull mania
Careful. Zacks is just a basic AI robo artocle generator that sends you advice based on your search history
