Ay yoo, Head Dev of Lycanites Redux here, it is a huge surprise to all of us to see our resource pack get featured here. But man oh man I can tell you that it was a pleasant one.
We all like Lycanites for being a cool customizable mod made by a great guy and really thought more people should give it a chance, hence the creation of the resource pack. Over time we managed to remodel over one hundred mobs, now with only a handful left. I also love Textconjure's content and am always looking out for more. Honestly seeing both in one package made my day.

Splendid job on the resource pack! It really does give them a refreshing look, especially if you have been messing with the mod for a long time. ...I should've dedicated a whole section on it, instead of briefly glossing it over! 🤔
My only issue was the fact that the mobs didn't look "blocky" but because of the retextured that issue is gone

Its really funny that Red (17:45) is in the game because I'm actually part of a dev team for the official Nes godzilla game adaptation.

@@funnyfunnyfunnyxd Two of the bosses seem to be inspired bu the spiderdemon and the cyber demon as well. There's also the enemies resembling paramites from oddworld, the beholder-esque mobs, and the remobras, which are named after a similar monster from monster hunter. I may be missing a few, so if anyone could fill me in, it would be nice.

I find that this mod particularly makes up 90% of the hardest mod combination in Minecraft RLcraft
Nah, what makes RLCfart hard is the configuration of the entire modpack
You add few mods from RLCraft to your normal modpack and you won't have much problems playing it
@@Nekoszowa locational hitboxes combined with this mod makes up 100% of the difficulty
Listen this is not the base mods for rlcraft rlcraft is made up of multiple mods

Yeah Lycanite’s Mobs is definitely one of those big classics that’s been around for a very long time, it’s been around since the days of Orespawn.
but it will never be updated (except for the revamped orespawn thats coming )

@@magepumpkin Yeah but a 3D model of an obscure to mildly popular in those circles creepypasta villain being used as a major boss of the mod seems more out of left field to me. Albeit the Abe's Odyssey enemy sorta falls into that category too lol.
Still it'd be amazing if someone ever did a full Godzilla NES Creepypasta Minecraft mod, though very unlikely

Ah yes, the mod that turns RLCraft into the living hellhole that it was meant to be. And even on its own, absolutely astounding amount of effort put into the thing. A whole bestiary, tons of mobs, a bunch of combinations of weapons, the list goes on. If there's one thing to say about this mod, it's that it is unique. So unique that nothing else like it exists in the minecraft modding community.
But this is not Nes Godzilla...?! on Hell the Besast
The mod that really makes you suffer is First Aid. It effectively reduces your amount of hearts to 3 in the beginning of the game.
@@Samura1313 True, but even that can be overcome pretty easily, you can end up getting like 5 rows of hearts with just baubles and heart containers. Lycanites mobs though, it makes you stay on your toes no matter what. Especially in the nether. Though, recently, the bigger threat to endgame players is definitely the parasites mod.

These mobs would be very interesting if they only had design suitable for Minecraft. Unluckily these round shapes and exorbitant designs don't fit in the game well.

Even though I don’t think I’d ever use this mod, since I’m bad enough at vanilla Minecraft as it is, this was such a spectacular showcase, and I really enjoyed watching it. Your content is great, and I do hope that more people notice your stuff! Your severely underrated for the amount of quality that each video contains.
You can find people's custom profiles for it online to make it easier/more vanilla like. And the Lycanites Redux texture pack to make it in Minecraft's art style if you ever wanna try it!

I recalled Zoataurs used to look nothing well as a dragon. More so some blocking with arms lizard monster, funny to see it still shares the sounds from back then. But I always look at his mod- besides the spooky models, for the Doom related stuff in there, apparently Heretic and Hexen as well! And I would like to come to the mod in a pack that will interest me some day. :)
I also recall zoataurs being beasts instead of dragons

A surprise to be sure, but a welcomed one. Also damn there’s a lot of new mobs I didn’t know existed.
Something worth noting about elementals is that the ones that are created through fusion are significantly more powerful than their naturally spawned counterparts, which makes them fantastic summoning minions.
Among a sea of obnoxious UA-camrs, your style was a relief. Reminds me of AlphaBeta Gamer now that I think about it. Hope you're doing well and eventually come back.
It's really cool to see some older mods being updated to newer versions of minecraft, with new mobs and features added as well. Makes me hope that orespawn will return some day in some form.
Check out Chaos Awakens! It's an unofficial remake of OreSpawn for 1.16.5 done by a few people who used to be in the dev team for the og OreSpawn, it's still got a looong way to go but it looks amazing so far, like a more polished version with better models and textures

I don't think its coming back and if it does i don't care too much about it i didn't like orespawn that much
Chaos awakens exists. It's basically orespawn 2: electric boogaloo for 1.16.5
However it's still in very early stages of development and still only has like 5% of the content from orespawn. But we will get there. Hopefully.
Pro-tip: if you right-click summoned Jengu or Volcan with empty bucket you can fill it with water/lava

This is the MOST UNDERRATED minecraft mod in the MULTIVERSE

Mobs on this mod: allow me to introduce myself
Me: **breaks coal ore**
Geonach: Allow me to intoduce myself
Me: **kills Geonach and is left on 2 hearts**
Reaper: allow me to introduce myself **kills me**
Me: FUUUUUUUUUUUUCK **throws computer out the window**
That's really high quality, but it definitely doesn't fit with a game like Minecraft. Especially with the stunning detail in the models and the high resolution textures.

That's exactly where the resource pack know as Lycanite's Redux comes in! It changes the look of the mobs to match minecraft's aesthetic better while still keeping them high quality models (Ice and Fire/Alex's mobs kind of quality), they even made changes to some of their models for those creature variants that come in different colours!
This mod if you didn’t know was an old mod back in the day like 6-8 years ago

@@clapseal One of my favorite things about Lycanite's Redux, is that it makes the variants of mobs a lot more unique. Whereas base Lycanite's Mobs changes the color of the mob, Lycanite's Redux makes a lot changes, that make the variant feel a lot rarer. For example a variant of the Beholder (Now called the Naxiris) has the look of a Death Tyrant, because both mobs are almost exact copies appearance wise of monsters from D&D.

They look so unique. I wonder where they got the inspiration from. The design reminds me of the game called "Sacrifice".
Most of the nether mobs were based from Doom (and some bosses), and there other videogame references scattered around.

In my humbled opinion, this mod has a few mobs that are just too much. Most of the mobs are ok but some are just annoying. Great showcase though !

Although I'm not a huge fan of the models used in this mod (not to say they're bad, I just prefer more vanilla styled mods) it's still really well done, and it's pretty cool to see a well done review of it!

I remember seeing this in a few mod packs in the past. I also quickly learned that piranhas are terrifying and should be feared in this mod.
Fun fact: The jouste are creatures from the Odd World universe known as Scrabs and the sound they make is also from the game.
All the demons are just copy pasted from Doom 2 (arachatrons and Spider Mastermind too)

I love this mod! The best thing about it is the fact that you can recognise where some of the creatures come from, like the Cacodemon or even the Red Demon thing from the Godzilla NES creepypasta.
Textconjure makes these mod reviews so nice, it makes them feel like an adventure into a different world or something

though my favorite mobs in concept have to be the Grigori and the Grell. Imagine chilling in a village and then, out of nowhere a Grell swings by and you're besieged by a swarm of Grigori.

I remember playing RLCraft and f*cking being scared to do anything, to mine, to go to the ocean, especially the ocean, i couldn't see the underwater ocean cuz it was too dark (Now in 1.16.5 you can clearly see through water in ocean), and i was scared to get the 'jumpscare', fr when i was crossing the oceans my hand was on my heart, and i was putting my headphones away.
I think it’s already obvious, but we all love the small reviews because they are genuine and have a lot of effort put into them, great job!
I just want to say that some of these mobs are actually based on from DOOM. MY favorite game, I'm amazed at these models.
I already love this mod for all the stuff I found referenced in it. Just in the beginning of the video I recognized Red from the Godzilla NES creepypasta, and the Spiderdemon from Doom II.
This has been my favorite mod for years and it makes me so unbelievably happy to see that it is not abandoned.
