    YESSS! Heavy on the “not trying to prove anything to anyone” ! Idek why whether or not black people can grow hair is even a debate😒

      I know 😭 it bothered me so much. It was so bad when my hair was fully wet. The front was basically straight. I love how full it looked too at the end. ☺️ Thank you 🤍

    Our hair definitely grows. Some hair needs that extra TLC and some just grows without effort. You are soo right that your scissors are definitely important when trimming as well

    Watching you do your team was so satisfying--let them dead ends go all 2022! This reminds me I am probably due for a good trim. SN: I didn't know your mom was a professional stylist, love that!

    Our hair grows unless you have a dermatological condition that would stop it from growing. The problem in our community is length retention. In a lot of cases, I’ve had this issue in the past, our hair breaks off at the ends at the same rate that it’s growing therefore we don’t see a difference in length in months or even years. This is why learning how to care for our hair is so important. Also, thin hair doesn’t necessarily mean damaged hair as our hair grows, rests and sheds at different rates. All of your hair follicles are doing different things all of the time so your hair isn’t going to be even. Don’t stress over this, it’s totally normal. It looks like you’re on a good path

      Hey Meghan, thank you so much for such an informative comment. I actually was under the impression that the thinner ends was a sign of damaged hair… not too long after this video was recorded I started my loc journey and combed them out a few months later. I saw that my ends were thing again like before lol. I was planning on maybe doing another trim but I guess that could just be how my my hair grows. There’s always the possibility
      the loc caused some form of breakage. But regardless, thank you for your comment because I never stopped to think that might be the way my hair grows until now.

      Lol bc it doesn’t even make sense to keep it. It’s going to grow back anyways 😭 we might as well chop it

    Girl same!! I think my hair always stop growing at a certain length

    • @kemayak
      @kemayak  2 роки тому

      I hear a lot of people say the same thing.🥲 i was told by someone else the hair actually doesn’t stop growing it’s just not retaining the growth. So it’s probably still growing but just breaking off. I don’t know how accurate that is though.

      I’m not too experienced with relaxed hair. But maybe you can search for someone on here with healthy relaxed hair to see how they do it. Thank you again for your comments and support ❤️
