The difference between Caitlin and Angel in college was that Caitlin was a five-star playing with mostly 3’s. Don’t get me wrong, those players improved tremendously by playing together and having team chemistry. They became like a family. Angel mostly played with 4 and 5 star related people. The very fact that Iowa made it to two Final 2’s was amazing. The Fever need a better coach, & now that they have developed a team chemistry and are getting better at expecting and catching Caitlin’s passes, and more in shape for a fast-paced game.
Now, let’s remember what coaches and Jesus Christ have to do with basketball. Years ago, Bob Knight, coach of the Indiana Hoosiers said…..coaches do not step on the floor to play, it is the players who win the game. As an aside, Knight also mentioned that players could praise God, look to the Heavens, etc. while they play but, in his experience, Jesus Christ had never once laced up a pair of Chuck Taylors, or shot a free throw at all for the Hoosiers. There is no rivalry, unless you refer to a bully and their victim as a rivalry. Caitlan doesn't consider Angel anything other then a taller then average player who is capable of using that height advance to pull down rebounds above the normal height WNBA player, if one wants to refer to that as skill or exploiting ones advance is debatable. Angel however thinks that she is in the same league as Caitlan which can score or assist a score usually three times that of an average game of Angel's. Championship Rings do not under any circumstances say how good or bad one player on the team is. It is reflective of how well the “team” plays in the championship game itself. Both teams have to be very good or they wouldn’t be in the championship game… but kudos to Angel for winning the important games.

The marketability of Reese is not on the same footage as CC either from the Arenas, TV Audience, Wilson balls, All Star Jerseys, Team Jerseys, Nike shoes. The USA Olympic committee missed out on a big opportunity to showcase them both. They could have capitalized on this greatly. The difference between Caitlin and Angel in college was that Caitlin was a five-star playing with mostly 3’s. Don’t get me wrong, those players improved tremendously by playing together and having team chemistry. They became like a family. Angel mostly played with 4 and 5 star related people. The very fact that Iowa made it to two Final 2’s was amazing. The Fever need a better coach, & now that they have developed a team chemistry and are getting better at expecting and catching Caitlin’s passes, and more in shape for a fast-paced game.
Now, let’s remember what coaches and Jesus Christ have to do with basketball. Years ago, Bob Knight, coach of the Indiana Hoosiers said…..coaches do not step on the floor to play, it is the players who win the game. As an aside, Knight also mentioned that players could praise God, look to the Heavens, etc. while they play but, in his experience, Jesus Christ had never once laced up a pair of Chuck Taylors, or shot a free throw at all for the Hoosiers. SO MUCH FOR NEEDING A NEW COACH ON THE FEVER. WHAT AN ABSURD COMMENT. Read the statistics, it takes an average of five years for a WNBA team to go to the top after finally getting good players. There is no rivalry, unless you refer to a bully and their victim as a rivalry. Caitlan doesn't consider Angel anything other then a taller then average player who is capable of using that height advance to pull down rebounds above the normal height WNBA player, if one wants to refer to that as skill or exploiting ones advance is debatable. Angel however thinks that she is in the same league as Caitlan which can score or assist a score usually three times that of an average game of Angel's. Angel taunts Caitlan with hand gestures slurs every chance she gets like a child and Caitlan just ignores her the best she can by not acknowledging it. Championship Rings do not under any circumstances say how good or bad one player on the team is. It is reflective of how well the “team” plays in the championship game itself. Both teams have to be very good or they wouldn’t be in the championship game… but kudos to Angel for winning the important games.

Angel Reese was playing just as well as Clark. But everytime I hear about the Iowa game no one ever bring up the fact that Reese was actually was dominating the game herself until she hurt her ankle. At times limping up the court. She had to play the rest of the game on an injured ankle and it showed. They always, always leave that part out.
Yes, Reese was hampered after injuring her ankle in the 2024 Tournament game. But she was hardly dominating the game prior to her injury.

CC and AR should have been in the Olympics with the 3x3 team. Both of them not just one. CC for assists an 3 point shots and AR for rebounds, layups and blocks. The USA Olympic committee missed out on a big opportunity to showcase them both. They could have capitalized on this greatly. It would have been a chance to test them out with 3x3 which would have showcased their skills to an international audience. As I am typing this the USA 3x3 team has already got out played.

Yeah, this has that feel of years of "Tonya Harding vs. Nancy Kerrigan" media "let's throw more gasoline on the fire" fueled rivalry that was continued by Reese's (Harding-esque) antics, even after Clark took the high-road... As another pointed out, the only thing Reese has on Clark is a bad attitude... and only Reese can change that.
Thing is, I do hope Caitlin and Angel get along for them to really play in maybe the next Olympics. This year's Olympics is a big let down by not letting them play. :(

Reese isn't as good as Clark. Reese has more rebounds per game but Clark has more points per game, assists per game, steals per game and blocks per game. Clark also has a better 2 point and 3 point FG percentage. Clark already has the most assists in a single game in WNBA history. Indiana had a worse record than Chicago last year but a better record than Chicago this year. Some people can say it is a 2 woman race but it really isn't.
