Hi, I've followed this EXACTLY on a fresh project with an iPhone 13 in UE5.3 on Windows 10 Home (High-end gaming PC). It WILL NOT import data. Output log says "Error: Corrupted Depth Data". So, my project was working perfectly with metahuman before, but when I used like over 15 Slates in MetaHumanPerformance - it started working normally (but I guess the problem isn't connected with the number of slates). So when I use slates to Process the Face animation it just Crashes every single time. I tried debugging, relocating files, deleting and re-importing, nothing seemed to help. Do you know what can I do in this situation?
Hey Konzhyq 👋Sorry to hear that . It happened to me once and I tried many solutions, so here's a couple to try: - 1 - deactivate Metahuman plugin at UE-level. Save project. Quit. Re-open. Re-activate. Test. - 2 - In case it won't work, start a new UE project, activate required plugins, save and quit. Duplicate all your metahuman content to your new project. Open, update, and test. If it works, keep the new project and delete the old one. Hope it helps !
Hey there! Do you have any idea how to connect the head and the body after facial animation? I can't figure out why, but the head is detaching from the body, even if the body has no external animation applied. I've tried a bunch of fixes, but can't seem to fix it! Thank you!
Hi fortbones ! I'm getting the second part prepared. It's a bit technical too, and you have to mess with blueprints a bit in order to reorder things right. Hope Epic will make it simpler on the next release. Video about this subject planned Tuesday ;) Paul
I've got my Metahuman Performance and the new mesh that was created in Metahuman Creator but the performance does not play back and the meshes are in the default muted colors with no textures, am I missing something?
Oh indeed I didnt talk about this point. About the new mesh you've created, you have to tweak it in the online app by editing your newly created Metahuman to give him texture (allow skin editing), details, hair and so on, then you can download it back in unreal with his fresh new textures.
@@super3studio No problem. I did as you suggested and reimported my mesh from Quixel Bridge. The mesh is now fully textured. Now just trying to figure out how to apply my performance animation to it.
I have a problem of minor jitter on my metahuman animator. I notice a very small jitter intween head movement as if it needs more processing to smooth out the animation. I notice in sequencer there are some filters, but do not know which to apply and to which part, and would it make any difference? If you have any info on how to smooth out an animation in sequencer please let me know.
Hi! Do you have any idea why the mesh's mouse is always close? I can see my teeth and those green points on the promoted frame that show my mouse is open, but the mesh's mouse is closed. I'm very sure that I have hit the fit teeth button...
Hi looks like a display issue, if your teeth are correctly interpreted, but only reference image is showing wrong frame, maybe a close/ reopen project could help, did you try ? There are some display issues throughout the process, but sometimes it doesn’t affect the interpretation. I would give a try

I have a problem of crashing when I click on process in Metahuman Performance . I click process (all videos and identity are done correctly), Unreal just crashes, do you know why? I had been searching online, but unfortunately there isn't any useful solutions so far. Some people suggested changing file names to English, and I have all files named in English. And some say it is the CPU version, but I have the latest i9, so I am really confused about this. Please let me know if you know anything about this issue. Thank you !
Hey! Sorry for you, there might be various reasons. The naming issue is a good idea though idea that’s been discussed here : English name, the shortest possible, and avoiding special characters. I’ve heard about takes not working that had to be wiped then imported back, maybe try this method too ! Good luck 💪💪
Hey Charlie, do you mean the Mesh to Metahuman custom textures or standard Metahuman ones ? When you import all the Metahuman from your library, everything should be packed with the downloaded blueprint, then in the Metahuman face folder you may find baked textures. Does it help?
@@super3studio Sorry I meant the Blueprint that was created after I had gone through the steps in Metahuman Animator. It created one in Metahuman Creator but it still showed up without the textures. I'll have another try now.
Hey Josiah 👋 unfortunately this may have multiple causes. You should start checking by downgrading scalability settings in order to have a lighter workflow, worth the test. Did you check using another performance track or is it the same on other ones ?
@@super3studio Hey! thanks for the quick reply. I just tried to lower the scalability settings, and I added the plugins you had recommended, but it is coming up with the same error. I've tried new projects, re-doing it and starting over, but nothing seems to fix it!

Hey it seems you've got a constraint problem, and shoulders/neck/head are messed up, looks like the classic issue. have a look at part 2 it should help 🤞tell me if it doesn't
@@super3studio I watched the second part, but it is more about head floating issue. In my case the face is distorting... Hey, just to be sure, do you mean fail to get the file or does the video stops while transferring ? It happened to me too a couple of times, I plugged the iPhone to the pc and it solved 🤔 did you try lowering frame rate and quality in the iPhone app ?

Hey, hard to know without spec infos. Are you on 5.2 ? .3 ? Usually uninstalling the plugin, opening and reinstalling may be a good thing to do 🤞

How does one get the textures from the Metahuman Creator version onto the Metahuman Animator mesh in Unreal?

I got it it to work! Not sure what exactly it was, but I updated my windows and a driver for my GPU and it worked the next time I tried!
