Late reply, but this level in the video is notorious for being super difficult with leap of faith jumps in the third act, I think that's why they put lots of rings there.
@@ragexg Sonic Chaos wasn't really a memorable game, let alone, the track. lol When you think of You Can Do Anything (Sonic 2's Green Hill Zone), Sonic CD normally comes to mind due to a more catchy melody and the fact that Sonic CD was a highly popular game. So, it had more exposure when it came to music.
@@OmegaRedEX Sonic 2 was the better game but mecha green hills is a great track. I played both on the Master System maybe you know it on the gamegear the gg version never cought on with me and the sounds are way worse, what I never understood the gg was a portable master system but it sounds way worse
@@ragexg I've heard the Master System one. Felt like a Mega Man track more than a You Can Do Anything/Green Hill Zone remix when I heard it. lol In terms of GG sounds, I didn't really hear much of a difference compared to the Master System since they use the same sound chip if I'm not mistaken. The notes of the tracks are rather different though. Aqua Planet Zone being noticeable in this example.
Here's a question I'm not sure of: in the sonic movie, was naming the town green hills a reference to this, or an attempted reference to green hill zone that just happened to share its name with this zone?
Probably the latter. The movie played a piano rendition of Green Hill Zone in the end and I haven't heard a rendition of this theme or You Can Do Anything at any point.
I realized it the first time I heard the JP version of Sonic CD's soundtrack on Sonic Jam, blew my mind… Both games were in development at the same time with the same composer (Naofumi Hataya) so they're literally the same song just with different arrangements

Why do you exist?
And you pretty much liked your own comment
wait a second, isnt this "toot toot sonic warrior?"
Yes. The original came from Sonic 2 and was remixed in Sonic CD by the same composer.
@@OmegaRedEX Why you guys always forget Sonic Chaos XD

Great!
I love this theme
Great remix x33
Do a CPS 2 remix of green grove zone act 1 (saturn)

Now that you think of it. I believe it does reference to this.
Maybe it's just meant to be a parallel world's version of Green Hill Zone.
I figured the movie was referring to this, due to the trees being more forest-like.
Good times
toot toot sonic warior.
Wow this game was ahead of it’s time. Sonic cd wouldn’t come out for another year.
What's a CPS-2?
The Capcom Play System 2. It’s an arcade board designed by Capcom
Ah yes "green hills" very original name
Could I possibly use this in my Sonic animation? It'll feature Green Hills!
Sure no problem!
How long did it take you to realize that this has leitmotifs to You Can Do Anything from Sonic CD

I just learned about it and it's been 30 years lol.
Nice!! But Why Is It Deleted??
Wasn't it due to copyright claims or smthing?
Wasn’t this level supposed to be level 1, and Underground Zone was level 5?
Well, I'm not sure why that decision had to occur.
*slowly crying in Japanese*
