When sunlight is focused with a fresnel lens, the heat generated can be very high.
In fact, it can reach thousands of degrees Celsius. This heat is strong enough to crack rocks and melt metals.
The working principle of a Fresnel lens in focusing sunlight is similar to how a magnifying glass works. The difference is that Fresnel lenses have a thinner and lighter design, but are still able to bend and focus sunlight effectively.
This causes the sun's energy to be concentrated in a small area, resulting in very high temperatures.
