- Hi guys in todays video I have tried to eplain what is motorcycle suspension preload and how it adjusted. Thanks for watching.

At some point of your explanation it becomes opposite like if preload is decreased then spring height becomes taller so seat height will increase but you said seat height decreases,how and why. Overall good video and learnt a lot. I hope u are from physics background
Bro what happens is when you reduce preload the spring becomes taller but it also becomes softer so when you sit on the bike the springs compress more than before because of suspension sag and seat height is reduced.

Yes bro you are right and hence preload is only used to make the spring stiff or soft and not for seat height adjustment.

Xpulse 200 4v Rear monoshock absorber adjustment can be made according to the load/road conditions.
- In Clockwise direction: Sttiffer
- In Anti-clockwise direction: Softer

Hi bro .. ur video is very informative. Can you suggest standard settings for Himalayan.. my new suspension is feels very soft.. bike pura baitha lag raha hei .its on 2nd notch. When i put it on stand and pull up by grabrail lifting ..i can feel that suspension can b much up... But as soon i put it it feels bike pura baitha hei . So i want a correct settings i weight 75 my wife 75 so for a touring what shall i do ? The correct adjustment according to weight... Thank you 🙏
Bro it looks like the springs are too soft, try increasing the preload. But increase one notch at a time and ride the bike to see how it feels. Repeat the procedure until you find the right settings👍

Yes bro you can buy just the rear monoshock. Front suspension price is around 22k and rear suspension will cost you around 9k

@@watchyadoin bro to be honest there is no performance increase by putting a slip on instead its more like a performance decrease... Ur bike struggles to go to higher rpms coz of not enough air intake, so if u put an exhaust you gotta install a performance filter too(stage 1), if you put a stage 2 clamp without more fuel in ur engine your bike will run lean(which will kill ur engine eventually) so if ur gonna get an exhaust u gotta get a filter too, I learned the lesson hard way and I've switched back to stage 1(stock snorkel) and will put the stage 2 back on when I get the booster plugs.... So if ur planning on getting an exhaust get a filter too, if u want even more performance get a stage 2 kit and booster plugs or Powertronic coz only exhaust will decrease ur performance... I'll update you once I get my booster plugs..

What's the ideal suspension setup for a rider around 80-90 kg
Bro suspension setup depends on various factors like weight of the rider, kind of riding, road condition. But generally speaking if you are facing a bouncy ride you need to harden your suspension a little and if you are facing a stiff ride soften the suspension a bit. I hope this helps🤘

Bro adjusting preload has a different purpose but yes it does affect the seat height.

Guys, this is the most uneducated video about this topic. Please dont watch it, i know hindi speaking people will watch and comment as if it is a holy book. This is why hindi speaking people remain uneducated. Turning it to make it shorter increases the pre load not decrease it. Also preload is not for stiff and soft :( .. its for moving the spring tension where you want it due to the weight on the bike. If you add a pillion and luggage then you increase the preload.

I have xpulse 2004v ,
I m a solo rider of 66 kgs, here in our city don't have proper road , after every one metre we have to face either big path hole or shirp speed breaker, u can not go beyond 40km per hour , i need softer suspension setup that will suit my purpose i believe.
As we know in standard xpulse there are 10 level adjustable rear suspension setup, can you recommend me the appropriate level after considering the above mentioned situations
Bro you will have to adjust the preload setting one click at a time and ride the bike to see if it is good for you.

Sir mein yeh bike lene wala hu or isse pehle Maine kal iska xpulse 200 ka trial bhi liya toh muje itna uncomfort nhi laga bas thori uchi lagi bike just because my height 5.4 and baki manuvar karne main or turn wagera karne mein koi dikkat nhi hui.
ab mein khali app se itna puchna chata hu ki muje 1-2 inch jaisi height down karna chata hu monoshock ki toh suspension mein koi problem nahi hoga na or mera weight 69kg k around hai showroom k mechenic se baat hui thi usne kha ki height thori kam hojaygi but muje believe nahi hua just because they are seller or muje koi off roading wagera nhi karni hai just city or highway hi ride karna hai
Bro seat height kum ho sakti hai but mera suggestion hai ki tum seat height kum mat karna. Daily bike ride karoge to apne aap confidence badega aur seat height bhi comfortable lagne lagegi.
Sirji mera dusre baar bhi rare suspension ka oil linkage ho gaya uska abhi koi upay hai kyu ke 2 nd time same issue ho gaya abhi bike aise bahut jump karta hai

Hi bro..I bought Xpulse recently, but the suspension feels hard and can feel jerks while riding. What adjustment do u advise to make the ride smoother.
Bro generally xpulse has very good suspension setup for bad roads may be your xpulse is not properly setup, it could be manufacturing defect so I would advice you to show it in hero service center. You can also try reducing preload.

श्रीमान 70kg.राइडर का weightऔर 30kg.सैडल बैग का weight है ।अतः xpluse200 पर कुल 100 kg weight लदा है अब बताइये कि xpluse200 के monosock का preload कितना रखना चाहिए।
Bhai xpulse ka monoshock stock preload condition mein 100kg ka weight le sakti hai, lekin agar apko badana hai to preload 1 ya 2 setting se bada sakte ho.

Brother on stock bike there is not much you can do to reduce seat height. Short riders must improve on their riding skill and not get intimidated by the seat height and make the habit of touching one foot on the ground instead of both feet whenever they stop the bike. Confidence is the key🤘

How much seat height can we reduce through hardening the shock. Considering stock seat height is 825 mm?
Bro I dont suggest to adjust preload to reduce seat height. Keep riding for longer duration so that you get comfortable with your bike🤘

I live in a Mountainous region.
I am a complete beginner. The problem occurs while handling the bike, like reversing in parking lot etc.
I plan to adjust my preload only till the time I get hang of the controls like acceleration, braking.So Having both my feet touching ground till I learn a little better would help.After that I will adjust it according to my weight as explained by you.

Bro check in the service center they might have the c spanner. Suspension should not be too soft or too hard it should be balanced. If your suspension is too soft you will get a bouncy ride and if your suspension is too hard you will get a harsh ride👍
Use monkey plier, I have tried in hornet 160.
