Even a regular tether with no volatile rounds extends the damage phase. Just use a tether as a debuff = longer damage phase.

Also works with echo of instability and orpheus rigs if you throw the grenade first and it gives you super back for all three platforms.

Collective obligation does this as well, I did it by accident after running out of ammo and tethering bc my team had plenty so I just shot with collective. Made like 15 orbs too
I usually run a malfeasance + lucky pants build because the boss is taken
It works incredibly well
It'll work on any boss if someone else has Witherhoard.

@@daveadams8712 I mean I get it, I don’t use retrofit either. But I’ve seen people do crazy damage with it so I’m probably just doing something wrong. I saw I think it was actually Clyde 1 phase the ogre when we did it we didn’t even get it down to half, but instead of blaming Clyde or the gun it probably was something we weren’t doing

Me an a buddy did this duo on day 1, he was using striga necrotic grips with strand and it did the same thing
Dope vid havent thought of volatile yet. Ive seen dragons breath with its ignitions working a similar way i wonder which is better 🤔
You could also use Leviathans breath for the same effect without having to grind a retrofit or use gyrfalcon.
Using gunpowder gamble grenade also helps with this for some reason, my first time getting to that boss i was a solar hunt barrage and using GG grenades and it went pretty well, we didnt wipe and 2 of us were srcubs yet i carried somehow😅😂

Also ruinous effigys ball works well in 1st encounter to get rid of the eyes btw

Seraph shield. Comes every 3 weeks in legends tab. You just missed it last week. Xur sells it pretty frequently also

i use the dragon's breath and a fusion for my dps on a solar subclass for survivability.
Tip for solo ogre? Take your time, don't rush. Rushing makes mistakes and will get you killed. I struggled on hunter at first and eventually got it once I settled down and took it slow

@@BallisticMF just do lfg, for dungeons you can easily find groups that don't require things like communication, heck you can find groups that will carry you through the entire dungeon while you ad clear or even groups that will teach you through text chat.

play banner of war titan with either wormgod or syntho. i 3 phased the boss with syntho and my damage was super unoptimized.

just saying volatile rounds is a 5% damage buff for retrofit so you could just use sunshot or something.
Might as well use graviton since they’re pretty much the same but surge matching

Oh for sure. But you dont need all this extra just to beat a boss. Also rockets and snipers work really well. And they have a challenge or whatever to use only bows swords and glaves for the whole thing and everyone in the fire team.

Ain't a fomo gun. You can farm it even now in Operation Seraph my guy. You clearly ain't got that game knowledge. There's something called the Exotic Mission Rotator that has a three week rotation. Just go get the Retrofit Escapade when it's in rotation 😂
