I was in Monaco two days ago. All buses were free for the month. I found the locals very helpful when directions were needed. Anyone visiting Monaco must see the changing of the guard at the palace, at 11.55am daily.
Few corrections if I may. First, you do not need to own property in order to live here. You do need EUR 500k in a local bank, and either provide a rental agreement (rent is paid 3 months in advance, plus 3 months security deposit with a 35sqm studio setting you back about EUR 2k a month, plus utilities) or you do indeed purchase a place. Most places are fairly old, but if you like 70s chic, then you are in the right place. There are a number of new developments, though they have pushed up the prices for both rent and purchase. Restaurants here are so so. Of course there are some good places around here, but a lot just get away with serving ok food for a ridiculous pricetag - mainly because a lot of people will just pay the price without asking. There are however decent places like Trinity where you stopped. Trinity's cocktail bar right opposite also serves some decent food, though if you go to places like San Remo (where we sometimes go to escape Monaco) you will find more consistency in food quality and much better value for money. From a traffic perspective, summer is really the worst, with tourists and car spotters without any regard for their or other people's lives just walk (or run) nto the middle of the road just to take a picture.

So cool to see a video about Monaco! I just got back from the French Riviera and was lucky enough to spend 4 nights in Monte-Carlo. It's a very clean, safe, and "otherworldly" place, with luxury and beauty everywhere you turn. It's not for everyone, but it sure is unique. I was pleasantly surprised by the food prices not being as high as I'd imagined and the very warm and kind service workers. They were already working on setting up for the Grand Prix, which one day I hope to go back for!
Monaco is not as expensive as people claim it is. We stayed at the Ambassador Monaco for 4 nights and it cost about $600 (USD) total including breakfast. Food isn’t extremely expensive. Now if you’re going to the casinos or are there for F1 then you’re going to have a huge bill!
Here are a few more facts about Monaco you may like. Prince Albert is the ruler of Monaco which is a principality. He is half American. His mom was the late American Oscar winning actress Grace Kelly. The people of Monaco believe that Monaco has remained a great country because of the prince. There are approx 39,000 people living in Monaco. Only about 9,000 were born there. They are called Monagasque's. The prince makes sure that his people get benefits that help them live their daily lives well, like offering rent subsidies and preferential employment treatment No one lives below the poverty level in Monaco and there is no slum area in Monaco. The jail has 35 cells and the inmates of which there are very few, receive some of the best food. It is thought if you feed them well they will behave better. They do. Monaco is the safest city in the world. There is one cop for every 70 people. There hasn't been a murder in decades. Every car that enters the country has its license plate taken down bc they want to know who is coming into their country. The safety of the people is paramount. The cops can stop you any time they like and they don't need a reason. That was something a rich American learned when he was pulled over and started the I am special BS and the cop told him to essentially get over himself and realize he's in Monaco not America and if he doesn't watch his smart mouth he will cool his heels in a cell over night. The American was smart enough to shut his mouth after that. If you make excessive noise with your super expensive sports car ( or any car) you will be ticketed. ( if your rich who cares) However, if you are pulled over for a second time for the same offense, your car will be impounded( taken away).I don't know for how long but I would imagine probably overnight at least. There are also no paparazzi allowed in Monaco. Apparently there are also a LOT of very high class hookers. Monaco has 5 gardens around the country and they are stunningly beautiful each in their own way. It is a country that encourages you to walk around bc of its truly beautiful architecture but also bc of its parks and harbors. It has a ballet company, a symphony, an opera house and the Prince Albert forum. It is in the middle of a $2 billion dollar land expansion into the mediterranean. It started in 2020 and is expected to be finished in 2025. Apparently as of 2022 all the 1000 apartments etc had been sold except 3. They were bought based on the blueprints. The entire project was privately funded which means the government of Monaco is NOT paying for it. You can see this project on a YT video. It also has an amazing Aquatic museum with 5000 specimens. It is a very unique country. : ). Thank you for your video Brett. P.S., I almost forgot. The most expensive apartment in the world is in Monaco. The building is called the Odeon (it is blue in color) and the 5 top stories of the building is one apartment which was selling for $ 387 MILLION Dollars. However they recently dropped the price by $32Million so you can buy it for the bargain price of $ 355 million dollars. : )
Thanks for sharing, we've been looking into this place for awhile and definitely making plans to retire there as soon as we are done in Tokyo. Almost there!
@@hainavidotcom- There is a video on YT, sharing what has to be done to become a resident. They also offer to help you go through the process. You can NOT have a criminal record. It would be advantageous for you to speak French bc there are interviews and meetings you are going to have to go through along with a lot of paperwork. You will be required to open a bank account in Monaco and deposit $500,000 dollars. They ask for that high amount to make sure you can afford to live there bc it is an expensive country to live in. I wish you a happy retirement. I'm enjoying my retirement. : )
@@mirandamanga9083- The tax haven "thing" is very true. Can you imagine getting a paycheck that does NOT have income tax taken off ? The rich don't pay tax on profits they make and there is no inheritance tax and a couple of other tax benefits that I can't recall. However, everyone pays a tax on everything they buy. I'm not sure but I think it is 20%.
Been to Monaco- loved it, the old town is lovely and yes it's not too expensive to eat there. St Tropez is definitely more expensive. We love Nice and Antibes.
Hi Brett, it was really nice to meet you. Next time you visit I promise more than a pizza :D Would be great to get the photos taken with the drone, please let me know. Cheers.
If you wanna come back to Monaco, just let me know. I can even give you a ride up to the mountains/ tête de chien 😂 the view from the road heading to the Golfclub is also amazing!
When I was there it was amazing experience, we booked 4 days in Summer section (August) all nights we sleep in Nice , one day we take the train to Visit Cannes , 2 Nights in Nice and one day Monte Carlo Monaco 🇲🇨 , it was superb and also I recommend you guys swimming on Larvotto Beach 🏖. Now I see your video we feel bad not to hiking there 😅 .. Give me Goosebumps because looks like when I was in Brazil 🇧🇷 Rio de Janeiro , (The Mountain of 2 brothers ) . 👍🏼
Monaco is very nice, and it has something special , makes you feel like you are in another world full of happy people, out of the ordinary problems. I've stayed also in Nice which was more affordable, and took also the train, 1 hour trip (tram and train from the hotel) with nice French Riviera views.
I was just in Monaco 2 months ago. I've been many times. Truth is, it has an aging population, poor service and average to below average restaurants. It certainly is not what it is cracked up to be. I say this as one who can afford to try the best Monaco has to offer. It's well marketed but just an ok city.
Just came back and going back for f1 but I can totally relate. Also it's "in vogue" to forget about prices in the touristy and just most expensive clubs/restaurants which in reality :) and to be blasé about it. or a total show off. I did not feel too much joy and youth energy. And hey, so many people are just here in front of the hotel to take a picture or pay for a drink and leave.
Most of Casino Royale was filmed in the Czech Republic and the most "iconic" casino/hotel scenes were set in Montenegro, not Monte Carlo. Some older Bond films such as Golden Eye were the one's set in Monte Carlo- hence the instant correlation between Bond and Monaco. Just fact checking!
This isnt just a vlog, its a collection of hard work, authenticity, and a great personality..thanks Brett for another great insight.Psst! Am having the feeling u too will join the Monegasques ..☺..just saying!💚

First of all, I am at best middle income person! I have been very lucky to have visited Monaco for work like 25 times. In 2012, I lived in Cap D’Ail for 3 months, using it as a base to tour around Europe! Cap D’Ail is one stop on train from Monaco but parts are across the street from Monaco. I lived near the train stop right on the Sea with THE BEST view ever! There is a walk way along the sea between Cap D’Ail and Monaco! The land where the stadium and your McDonald’s was situated is Fontveille and it is all reclaimed land that was once the sea until they filled it in the early 1980’s. An expensive project but with land so expensive there, it was a smart ROI! Now they are reclaiming some land on the other side of Monaco. Underneath that McDonald’s is a huge grocery store called Carrefour. All Carrefours in France have to charge the same prices, so great place to shop! They also have two check out lines for yachts only, then they deliver to the yachts. Also lots of to door deliveries there! Parking for all those high rise condos are underground and buried in the mountain! Finally, I had a two year stint in Southern California for work and rented a one bedroom apartment. It was cheaper to live in Monaco/Cap D’Ail then to rent my one bedroom in California!!! My best vacation by far!
Well, Cap d'Ail as you already said isn't Monaco, so of course it would have been cheaper than California. rental price for a 35sqm studio in Monaco gets you a 2bdrm in Cap d'Ail, Beausoleil (incl. Pool and Gym) or parts of Roquebrune. And while there is a price cap for Carrefours in France - Monaco is NOT France, so you will find that products actually do carry a premium, albeit not always noticeable.
I co-founded my university's hiking club. Next time on the hill, make sure you lie horizontally on your belly when looking over the cliff for more stability. you don't want to stand on a tiny outcrop with your two feet. it's dangerous. anyway, I am in finance now and just bought some art from Masterworks in the last couple of years.
Naomi Dean stands out from other brokers because of her realistic approach, unlike those who often set unattainable targets and fail to deliver. She's truly unique!
Love your vids Brett! Could you possibly do a tips and tricks travel video for how to get around Europe? Thinking about going this fall and would be nice to know things like how to get cell coverage and transportation. Thanks!
14:45 🍸🍸🍸 Hold my vodka martini. It was part of Goldeneye that was filmed there, Casino Royale was filmed at Grand Hotel Pupp in Karlovy Var (Czech Republic), the location actually posing as Montenegro. But great video, Bond approves ♥🍸
If you think this is beautiful for hiking, you should DEFINITELY check out, West Kelowna, Peachland and Kelowna in British Columbia, Canada. You won’t be disappointed

I'm Sri Lankan. I went to Monaco is 2019 on holiday and was treated bad. I went to a pizza shop to get a slice of pizza and had to wait about 30 mins until the people waiting got their slice, even those who came after me. And when finally it was my go and i asked for what i wanted the guy who served asked me to come to the back of the shop (where the garbage cans were) and told me to give my money and gave me the pizza and told me in English to leave quickly.
Great videos. I just recently found your channel. I’m really enjoying your vlogs. It is so surreal seeing places I’ve been in your vlogs. I was wondering what camera you travel with to film your videos? Do you use a drone and what else ?
Magnificent & Marvelous Monaco, the must to visit once in a lifetime or stay here as a citizen family in this beautiful country forever. All people are friendly, amazing and very welcoming🤍💚❤
Wow..monaco..how rich you are and how beautiful your country and people are. We in our contry Philipines we are poor ..i pity much of my school children because they're so much poor and hope you could help us.
Thanks for the history lesson on how Monaco rose into financial power! I learned a whole bunch of new information as to why billionaires are all over that country
Great video; some corrections though: 12:10 No, the fight scene from Iron Man 2 was down in the harbour; Port Hercule. 13:55 No, Monaco has been independent since 1297. What happened in 1861 was that Roquebrune-Cap Martin & Menton went to France, so Monaco got it's current borders. 14:45 Casino Royale takes place in Montenegro. In Goldeneye (1994) they are at the Monte Carlo Casino however.
I've been living there for more than 20 years ! Would have loved to meet you and show you around ! Pretty much everyday, during the touristy season, I get stopped by lost tourists as it is difficult to move around with all the public elevators and escalators ! The "mountain" is actually called "La Tête de Chien" (which means "Dog's head") and it is in France, not Monaco.

You do have to have an amount in a Monaco bank $500k to $1 million to satisfy the government that you are not going to become a ward of the state. You do need a place to live, but that apartment can be a rental. Owning would probably be better because real estate prices in Monaco have consistently been outperforming the growth rate in terms of both rent increases and purchase price increases everywhere in the world with a price per square foot or price per meter more than double that of Manhattan, San Francisco, Toronto, or Hong Kong, but you can rent. Buying is not a requirement for a Monaco residency permit.

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on a television program about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
It is possible to produce superior performance provided you do something different from the majority. However, most of us tend to pay more attention to the shiniest position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.
I have been researching all this while for a digital asset to invest in and I found the crypto market to be the most profiting of them all, I'm definitely bouncing on it.
@williammike7424 That's impressive. Are you giving him your money or the money stays in your trading account? What's really the idea behind copying trades.
In Andorra, you need to make an inversion of 800.000€ on the country (can be a house, donation,...) in order to get the passive residence, and still have to pass a medic exam to guarantee that you don't have a treatment-need chronic disease.
Hello, you don’t need to own property in Monaco to obtain a residence permit - it is sufficient that you rent a place (although that is also very expensive). You also have to under take an interview and assessment with the police / authorities.
You made Monaco look amazing, and it looks like you spent your time wisely. Unfortunately, having been there five years ago, I wasn't at all impressed, especially when compared to other areas along the Riviera. Over-developed, over-crowded, and very difficult to get around (and I live in Manhattan). I guess it's great if you're star-struck by wealth, but it's incredibly superficial. I'd recommend a half dozen other towns in the area.
Thanks for this wonderful video..I have incurred so much losses trading on my own....I trade well on demo but I think the real market is manipulated.... Can anyone help me out or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong?
I strongly advise you against self trading, it's really dangerous and had brought so many investors down, you need someone with the knowledge and strategies, someone dedicated to the crypto currency market business, and I will strongly recommend expert, Mr Nicholas
Thank you for cool viewing of Monaco!👍 Great place with different people, for example some Ukrainian millionaires who had stolen money from the government and are hiding with families in Monaco. Or another sort of Ukrainian millionaires who are waiting there when the war in Ukraine will finish and they could come back to their country meanwhile usual people are dying for freedom. They are buying new cars, apartments and yachts, visiting expensive restaurants meanwhile usual people in Ukraine donate last salary for drones and weapon to protect native land and families from Russian aggression. It’s a shame for such rich people from Ukraine in Monaco because it’s much more valuable to be a normal person with dignity then millionaire without conscience especially during such difficult page of history like now. Ukrainian people are grateful for support of US and each person who has compassion to all those destroyed lives and houses. Russia is a terrorist state! Ukraine will win the war, will protect Humanity and Democracy. I strongly believe that all people here will come back to a normal life soon and also could travel through the world as before. Glory to Ukraine! 🇺🇦💙💛☀️
Fun fact: In Monaco, Monégasque citizens are not allowed to gamble in the casinos of their own country! This ban was put in place to prevent local citizens from losing their money while ensuring that foreign visitors would enrich the country instead.
To obtain financial freedom, one must either be a business owner, an investor or both, generating passive income, particularly on a weekly and monthly basis. That's the key to living a financially stable life. This trick has never failed. I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life and put this basis to work and practice. Cassandra Eliasson have been a great manager, mentor and guide. Her support and advice have helped shaped my crypto trading career.
Being a newbie in Bitcoin investment and trading is very discouraging but since I met Cassandra Eliasson, she has really been careful in handling my investment.

I wonder if there’s anything negative about it. Gotta be balanced right? Is the tax haven thing true?
@@mirandamanga9083- The tax haven "thing" is very true. Can you imagine getting a paycheck that does NOT have income tax taken off ? The rich don't pay tax on profits they make and there is no inheritance tax and a couple of other tax benefits that I can't recall. However, everyone pays a tax on everything they buy. I'm not sure but I think it is 20%.
Your comment is highly appreciated.
Thank you.
Wish I can see Monaco but I guess I have to save up first. 😬
Been to Monaco- loved it, the old town is lovely and yes it's not too expensive to eat there. St Tropez is definitely more expensive. We love Nice and Antibes.
Hi Brett, it was really nice to meet you. Next time you visit I promise more than a pizza :D
Would be great to get the photos taken with the drone, please let me know.
They are not "happy" they are rich 😅
@@aniapalus9530 exactly! Keep in touch I might see you around instagram.com/MarquettDavon
Wishing this place ❤
Most of Casino Royale was filmed in the Czech Republic and the most "iconic" casino/hotel scenes were set in Montenegro, not Monte Carlo. Some older Bond films such as Golden Eye were the one's set in Monte Carlo- hence the instant correlation between Bond and Monaco. Just fact checking!
Thank you much appreciated
glad that the world can be toured now virtually. thanks .
This isnt just a vlog, its a collection of hard work, authenticity, and a great personality..thanks Brett for another great insight.Psst! Am having the feeling u too will join the Monegasques ..☺..just saying!💚
I’ve never been to Monaco 🇲🇨 so I’m excited to watch this 😊

Successful people don't become that way overnight. What most people see as a glance of wealth, a great career, and purpose is the result of hard work and hustle over time. I pray that anyone who is reading this will be successful in life.

I'm 48 years old single father living in Hamburg. I'm hoping to retire at 50 if things keep going well for me. Bought my first house last month and I can't be more proud than I am right now. I'm so glad made great decisions that changed me forever.
@Yang Min-hee Hey sweetie, sorry for late response. Apparently, I used the FIRE movement to put my finances in shape. You can research more about it. Then, Invested in stocks, cryptocurrencies and real estates through the assistance of an Investment pro was able to make it.
@Yang Min-hee I invests with (MELISA PAMELA PEREZ Services) a widely known consultant. You can make a quick internet research with her name mentioned where you can easily get in touch. I wish you all the best
I know Melisa pamela perez as well. I'm happy I saw good recommendations about her here. Melisa has helped me manage my Investment for six months now and to be honest it feels good when you are with the wining team. I will keep Growing with Melisa.
Wow! You're really doing great for yourself. Investing in stocks and cryptocurrencies also contributed in changing my story. wish you all the best and I'm glad you're having a good journey so far.
Congratulations, lucky for you to live in this great country. You deserve it all from your achievement in your businesses. Bless you have all wonderful, happiness and wealthiness life with your family in Monaco!
We have to keep something for dreams too. Sometimes dreaming is more pleasurable.
I enjoy these so much. I get inspired to go one day, thank you
2:23 wow 😯 one bedroom is five million!!! You are right that country is expensive
Great video! Thank you for this. I can say that yes once you make your first million it's definitely easier to make multi millions
Excellent Brett 2023 coming to Monaco in the fall.highly appreciated.
Monaco is one of the most fascinating places on this earth and I’m stoked we were able to bring the story to life!!
on this earth? fck no!

Happy Tours Africa is following you from UGANDA. Enjoy Monaco.
The quality and information in Bretts videos are top class. Amazing videos man keep it up!
I'm interested in investing, but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any advice or contacts who can help me out?
Investing can be complex, so it's smart to get professional guidance when building your financial portfolio.
It's a great idea to have a conversation with financial advisors like Naomi Dean to reshape your portfolio.
I spread out my $25k portfolio across various markets to diversify my investments.
That's awesome! I ended up making a net profit of about $115k by investing in high dividend yield stocks, ETFs, and equity.
Naomi Dean stands out from other brokers because of her realistic approach, unlike those who often set unattainable targets and fail to deliver. She's truly unique!
You can enjoy La Palma in the Canaries islands and Malta too. They are great hike and have awesome views too.
Epic video!!!!!
Oh! The richest country in the world... this is so interesting! Thanks for sharing this, enjoyed it a lot! Very entertaining.
Beautiful video, wonderful photography and an interesting city, thank you
Was in Monaco last month so was nice to see from your point of view. You went to same Irish pub I was at as well!
You were right about James Bond being filmed at the Casino but it wast Casino Royale it was actually Golden Eye.
Love your vids Brett! Could you possibly do a tips and tricks travel video for how to get around Europe? Thinking about going this fall and would be nice to know things like how to get cell coverage and transportation. Thanks!
I live in Austria and Vienna Is very good for Tourist.
Great work on this video man!
I really enjoy all your videos !!!!! Thank u so much from Boston
Hey Brett, love your video about my country 👏.
Glad you enjoyed Monaco 😄.

Super luxurious Country wonderful Monaco🇲🇨
I'm Sri Lankan. I went to Monaco is 2019 on holiday and was treated bad. I went to a pizza shop to get a slice of pizza and had to wait about 30 mins until the people waiting got their slice, even those who came after me. And when finally it was my go and i asked for what i wanted the guy who served asked me to come to the back of the shop (where the garbage cans were) and told me to give my money and gave me the pizza and told me in English to leave quickly.
I sense that there might be some racial bias at play...
Oh hell no.
What??? I'M ALSO A sri Lankan. How can they treat people like that? You killed my love for Monaco in just three seconds. Thnks. Hate it
Great videos.

Hi! I am actually from Monaco :)) Love your video!
Do you agree with it?
Amazing video Brett
Thanks for the history lesson on how Monaco rose into financial power! I learned a whole bunch of new information as to why billionaires are all over that country
@OfficialMARKO_ GET LOST GRIFTER ❗❗❗
Great video; some corrections though:
12:10 No, the fight scene from Iron Man 2 was down in the harbour; Port Hercule.

What Camera do you use? Doesn't look like an A7C you have listed.
Seems like you upgraded. Good Videos Bro 👏🏽
Your Videos really transport us to this places!
What a cinematic Experience, the editing, the shots, the music and your commentary ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I felt like a mom when you were standing on that cliff (“Get down from there!”) LOL.
Hello there Maria nice meeting you
Not all the cars are owned by the prince in his collection, some cars are owned by other people who agreed to leave them at the collection. Some of those being the Ferrari F1 cars in his collection are owned by Leclerc
Actually, it's his research, your word against your word. Two different answers doesn't make yours the correct one.
@@thobekamvimbi3041 Leclerc owns the F1 cars not the Prince of Monaco. That’s 100% Correct.

@@princessprecious6077 Good morning. This is simply impossible! you have to go to the gaming school in Monaco which itself trains its croupiers, but to join it, you have to be Monegasque or have good knowledge! I almost did it... I work at the casino

I came here to learn how to invest after listening to a guy on a television program about the importance of investing and how he made $460,000 in 4 months from $160k, somehow this video has helped shed light on some things, but I'm still confused, I'm a newbie and I'm open to ideas.
That's true and you can imagine the profits people are making daily by just trading stock market or bitcoin
Investing in crypto and stock market is a good idea, a good trading system would put you through many days of success.
Bruv what kind of shoes are you wearing during the hike - those white joints are 🔥
Let's get this guy to a million
The casino was featured in Never Say Never Again and Goldeneye, but not Casino Royale. The casino in Casino Royale is in Montenegro.

In Andorra, you need to make an inversion of 800.000€ on the country (can be a house, donation,...) in order to get the passive residence, and still have to pass a medic exam to guarantee that you don't have a treatment-need chronic disease.
Thanks for this video Brett ! defo want to visit it after seeing this vid.
Hello, you don’t need to own property in Monaco to obtain a residence permit - it is sufficient that you rent a place (although that is also very expensive). You also have to under take an interview and assessment with the police / authorities.
I love watching your videos, could you please visit Madeira in Portugal. I think it is one of the most beautiful islands of Europe!

yes that true, same like macau rich country in the world
13:13 I see what you did there with the sound design😂 those V8s do not dissapoint
Wife and I decided to move to Europe late last year for work reasons. It came down to Monaco or Liechtenstein. Liechtenstein won by a hair.
Thanks for this wonderful video..I have incurred so much losses trading on my own....I trade well on demo but I think the real market is manipulated.... Can anyone help me out or at least tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Same here, My portfolio has been going down the drain while I try trading,l just don't know what I do wrong
Trading with an expert is the best strategy for newbies and busy investors who have little or no time to monitor trade
I strongly advise you against self trading, it's really dangerous and had brought so many investors down, you need someone with the knowledge and strategies, someone dedicated to the crypto currency market business, and I will strongly recommend expert, Mr Nicholas
Wow I'm just shock you mentioned and recommended Expert Mr Nicholas,I thought I'm the only trading with her
YOU DON'T NEED TO BE SHOCK BECAUSE I'M ALSO A HUGE BENEFICIARY OF expert MR NICHOLAS
I love your video. I might be coming down to Monaco to play rugby, so I’m trying to see what it’s all about.
Thank you for cool viewing of Monaco!👍
Great place with different people, for example some Ukrainian millionaires who had stolen money from the government and are hiding with families in Monaco.
