Lol men stabbing each other over football, sky: "what about racism tho?"
It sure sounded like some verbal racism is valued more serious than some physical violence.
Maybe because racism is a prominent problem in Italian football?

Knives are not allowed in the fights between the groups. At least for the ultras movement of my city (Cagliari) and other groups. They Always say "senza lame".

Why have so many foreigners been stabbed when going to away matches in Italy then?
@@theblackswordsman9951 Because some of these ultras are clearly out of their minds
The hatred among ultras groups in Italy comes from the time of city states, when Italy unified different places that have hated each others for centuries found themselves in the same country, right at the time when football was becoming popular, so the tensions that once led to wars transferred in the football stadiums. This whole thing is called campanilismo(bell tower-ism) and if it didn’t disappear in the last 100 years, it’s not going to disappear any time soon
No is not about that, in every country there are internal rivarly outside football.
Italy became a single nation in 1861, a lot of time before football was even invented
@@Marcos-kg9tb football started spreading in Italy in the 1880-90, that’s only 20 years after
@@ven5501 this is not exclusive to Italy but it’s very evident here
This Is not true. In fact, the biggest rivalries are derbies between teams from the same city (Roma-Lazio, Genoa-Samp, Milan-Inter). I don't think the other rivalries follow this Logic either. For example, in recent teams has been born a strong rivalry between Roma and Napoli, but until the 80s the two fan groups were even twinned. Moreover, before the unification of Italy, there was never a hatred between the two cities. The same can be said for Fiorentina (Firenze) and Juventus (Torino), and many others. So no, i don't think It Is a particularly focused analysis. Maybe only for small locale teams (Pisa-Livorno, ecc..)
**People throwing rocks at each other and stabbing each other with knives**
Sky News: "But did anyone say anything racist?"
Sky is a propaganda media for “ clan top clubs in Europe” !
Touched a nerve?
Knives? Maybe in Italy they think it's okay. Real fight is fist only..
teoricaly the knives aren't allow during the fight ( the Can only use the hand and rocks)
In Italia da sempre cinture bastoni e lame ..negli anni 70 80 90 era molto ..molto peggio..nelle trasferte nn c era scorta della polizia e gli scontri erano praticamente ogni domenica ..prima...durante e dopo.
Littered with mistruths as usual. Violence in football has never gone away, it’s nothing like it was in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Football matches are violence free for the majority. There are just as many left wing Ultras groups as there are right wing groups, why does that never get mentioned? Like we’ve seen in England, the reaction is deliberately hysterical to saturate the game further, socially cleanse the supporters from the traditional working class, raise ticket prices and sell it to the middle class.
Actually knives are not "permitted" in the ultras mentality. Neverthless some ultras firm often use it (roma, lazio, napoli, inter, milan, juve). Unfortunately this is an "unwritten code", so it's easily misrepresented sometimes.

It's alla bullshit, we are all afraid to fight. Let's focus on the beauty of tifo inside the stadium...
the ultras movement in Italy has rules. The problem arises when these rules are not respected. Unfortunately this often happens with certain groups of fans.
But it's English fans that are the problem...

From a Catholic perspective, the spirit of community and joy that often accompanies sporting events, including football, is deeply valued. However, when events are marred by violence and hooliganism, it not only detracts from the sport but also contradicts the Christian call to love and respect our neighbors. Sport should be a means of building bridges and fostering understanding among people, not a venue for conflict and aggression. The Catholic faith urges all individuals, including fans and participants in sports, to reflect on the values of peace, respect, and solidarity. We are called to be witnesses of unity and compassion, showing the world that it is possible to come together in celebration, even amidst our differences, without resorting to violence. Let us pray for and work towards peace and respect in all aspects of life, including the passionate support of our favorite sports teams. Additionally, we are reminded that our actions in this life have consequences not only here but also in the afterlife, where true justice awaits us. May we strive to live in accordance with God's love and mercy, knowing that we will ultimately be held accountable for our deeds before Him.

Kind of agree with you but there is definitely English fans that look for violence, like in every country. That's a myth. They fought, and were willing to fight. But they were poorly armed and led, and so knew they had no chance by and large against the 8th Army in North Africa.
They had many units that did fight, as did their airforce and navy, which were far better equipped.
