As a person from Bergamo I would like to thank everyone involved in making this documentary which goes beyond the actual football game. Most of the international football fans know about Atalanta and Brescia (Fifa, Champions League, Pirlo, Baggio...) but very few of them would know about both cultures, lifestyle, history and various traditions that distinguish these cities and football clubs from the rest of Italy.
I love the way they do it. I think that is what I love about football in europe so much, when compared to the sports in the U.S. There's so much local culture and history in those old clubs and their fans and members. The passion is just completely different to the commercialized sports in the U.S., where clubs are basically businesses of an owner and teams regulary move cities etc. It's also something we need to protect better from corporate greed.
An hour of perfection. I absolutely enjoyed how Italians see the game and their rivarlies differently then the rest of the world. To them, it is not only about football, but more about the culture, diversity of the provinces, and some minimalistic details that make Calcio unique. As a football lover from Serbia, I have a dream that one day life will give me the chance to experience all of the Italian derbies, and to feel the immense rivarlies from all the way up in Bergamo to the bottom of Naples. Cheers Italy from Serbia!
As a man from Bergamo and a football fan of Atalanta, i must say this is the most accurate video i have seen about our city, fans and stereotypes in general. It is really a wonderful piece of documentary!!! well done to the guys behind the video who made it possible, i thoroughly enjoyed watching it. Forza Dea !!!
Michele Di Napoli i never knew how embedded these clubs were into italian football. I root for Napoli cause half of my italian family is Neapolitan, but I respect the passion and work ethic of Bergamos and Brescianis. Never understand the North vs South distaste 😒
@@flabuzzsports7649 North vs South is because Northern regions are closer to France and Germany and they had a lot of industies, South has been always isolated when the Spanish left and when Italy got united in 1861 there were Industries in the North and in the South still had Feudalism, so southerns say North is stealing their resources as men power, North says southerns don't wanna work and they are lazy. Holy shit this show keeps getting better! Is it possible to see De Graafschap vs Go Ahead Eagles rivalry? A tale of two teams who flipflop between Eredivisie and the second tier and their matches have become a heated rivalry between both fans, ultras and cities. Two of the last 5 fixtures ended in fighting on the field. Pretty please? 😬

I was in Reggio Emilia when my Borussia Dortmund played Atalanta in the Euro League. The weather was shit, but their atmosphere was crazy, even tho they didn't play in their own stadium in Bergamo.
By far the best documentary series on UA-cam. I'm from the United states and have no interest in football. But because of this channel I can understand why it means so much to so many people around the world. Keep up the good work! I can't stop watching!!
No clue how did I find this video out but man, what a documentary! You'll probably know for which of the two team I am a supporter of but overall this is an amazing glimpse of what Bergamo and Brescia really are, the passion and the hard work behind the scene of the everyday life of million of normal people that share their unique passion, perfectly mixed with a Sunday afternoon with all your mates. Thanks very much from an Atalantino now living in the UK!
Honestly Brescia’s “V” reminds me of Velez Sarsfield from Argentina they both are very distinct and the fact that the both clubs has Kappa as their kit manufacturers
this has got to be the best video i have seen in a long time. its 6 32 am and i should have slept an hour ago but i found it and could not stop it. great job guys
Another great episode in the derby days diaries...love this channel and this show not only breaks down the football aspect but also teaches us about the cities and regions where the club's are based....great work and so informative.
i literally had to stop, go buy some groceries so i could continue watching with a Pirlo cocktail. Amazing video guys, love how you all showcase this very particular side, and very important side, of football and it's both cultural importance, an correlation to that culture pre-existing (before football) history and significance.
And thanks to you, I had to look up Pirlo and now need to go get some Campari and take some of my wife’s white wine and watch this all over again. The sacrifices we make . . .
I'm from Bergamo...and even if I'm an Ac Milan supporter, I have to say that this is probably the best documentary ever made about my City... I hope someone will upload Italian subtitles and propose this thing in our local schools... Really... Thanks!!
I have been following this series for quite some time now. Firstly, its a beautiful series. The level of information shown is amazing. Well done to the researchers of the show. Secondly, the way this series showcases the cities in question, whether it's Milan, Berlin, Madrid or even Portsmouth is absolutely fantastic. The show could easily pass on as a travel show, but a travel show that has much better editing and camera work, unlike the ones we see elsewhere. Finally, after watching all these episodes one can definitely say that football truly is more than a sport. The way it unites or divides people, the way it is associated with the history of a city or province cannot be described. Thank you Copa90 for sharing such amazing stories and showing us such amazing scenes. I am from India and i dont know if i will ever be able to visit these places, but because of your efforts i feel like i am a part of these cities and their football culture. Thank You
This is just the best documentary ever made about the people of our provinces, and I am also talking about the non-football part. Pure culture. Maybe just Alberto Angela' s one is As good As this. Next time, you should take a trip to the lakes and the mountains of both provinces, they are amazing. I hope that this documentary will be seen by many people in the world, Forza Brescia 🔵⚪
One of the best things that happen to me is to find these documentaries. Even if your not into football, it's awesome to learn about people's traditions and culture.
For the first time I didn't realized about timing and so caught up with the content. This is first class and you guys are going to change the world. Congratulation !
I enjoyed it very much every single part of it. Not only football but history, traditions, people of the cities. So detailed and well explained. GREAT JOB!
Hi, I'm from Bergamo and I just wanted to thank you for this masterpiece. Bergamo and Brescia are currently the most hit cities by the covid 19: for me it has been a pleasure to remind myself who we are and not to think to that damned virus for one hour. Take care and brescia sunì.
Great presentation. Thank you for this very interesting documentary. We will be in Lombardia next autumn. I cannot wait to visit these two great towns.
Even though the presentation is a liiittle dramatic sometimes, DERBY DAYS remains such a consistent, high quality series! Thank you so much for staying true to this show, it's educational and brings out the word of derbies beyond AC Milan/Inter, Merseyside, Boca Jr/River Plate and rivalries like El Clasico, LFC/Utd, Dortmund/Bayern etc. I still very much enjoy coming back to the different Balkan derbies. I'd wish their football leagues weren't so damn corrupt though..
Given that this is from Northern Italy. A lot of those people in that interview had been affected by Corona virus. We should really have them in our thoughts during this tough time.
The diatribe on the origin of the casoncelli was wonderful .... With all sincerity and without wanting to go into detail I can say that I have deep esteem and respect for both Brescia and Bergamo, as a people and as fans. I am Veneto therefore not biased.
"Italy has never been united, We are city states, we hate each other" This is true to this day...e oggi come allora difendo la città... This doc was amazing and shows how football in Italy is in a sad state. Getting a ticket to the stadium especially for away games, depends on where you are born or live, can be an auto ban. Unless you submit all your information to the state so they can control and monitor who goes to the stadiums. Racism is alive and well in Italy, and the they are racist towards their own the most...this is why the stadiums in Italy are empty. #31, Ultras Liberi... The state made a law, which tells the cop like this, as soon as you meet a fan, stop and bring him here, as soon as you arrive at the police headquarters, the cop will have to tremble, the law doesn't scare us, the state won't stop us, in fact we will not stop, the life of the Ultras is known, knows only two laws, consistency and mentality THANK YOU FOR SUCH HIGH QUALITY FOOTBALL DOCUMENTARIES!
I was on holiday in Bologna last year and saw a cup match between Bologna and Juventus (Ronaldo was shit it was hilarious), and the amount of security was ridiculous.
@John Mitchell That was totally different. You had players from every part of italy in that team. The captain of that team was from my neighborhood in Naples...
@@marcello_martini I was on the opposite end of the ground (where there were a mix of juve and Bologna fans, was a bit weird) but yeah nah it was impressive, especially for a meaningless cup match.
@Nathan Lockley Benfica x Sporting is only the biggest in terms of club size and media attention. In Portugal, most view the Derby do Minho as the best derby in terms of the importance of the game for the teams
@Nathan Lockley minho derby comes from old rivalry, older than football. You don't go to guimaraes with a braga shirt you don't come to braga with a guimaraes shirt only on match day, the 2 towns hate each other, one of the most dangerous derbys in Portugal.
@Nathan Lockley guimaraes is a town in braga district, i prefer the match on guimaraes stadium its our(braga) "salão de festas" party room. Each clube has great ultras, 60 braga ultras whent to guimaraes just to fight 2 hours after the game

boeit niemand gek
I thought Twente Enschede is the main rival of Go Ahead Eagles?
Niemals No it is PEC Zwolle
Jullie realiseren je dat deze serie gaat over derbies tussen clubs met passie en geschiedenis? De Graafschap en Go Ahead Eagles hebben geen van beide
Documentario fatto stupendamente, da Bergamasco keep on with the great work! E forza dea in Champions ;)

I love seeing these lesser known derbies especially the longer format that really shows the history.
Great documentary! Atalanta is a fantastic example of how to connect with the community. Wish we saw more of that in England. My Atalanta shirt is on its way and a visit to Bergamo planned for the near future!
Excellent choice! I hope you will enjoy your stay (and a good serving of casoncelli with sizzling pancetta)
I was in Reggio Emilia when my Borussia Dortmund played Atalanta in the Euro League. The weather was shit, but their atmosphere was crazy, even tho they didn't play in their own stadium in Bergamo.
tu sei bergamasco e vuoi fare il furbo

By far the best documentary series on UA-cam. I'm from the United states and have no interest in football. But because of this channel I can understand why it means so much to so many people around the world. Keep up the good work! I can't stop watching!!
I see Copa90 Derby Days with Eli and I click, like & watch. Keep life simple. Great series!
Man, I'm so proud of you guys! The passion, enthusiasm, knowledge, and hard work that went into this is truly admirable!
Finally someone who tells about this derby, when I saw you in front of our Curva Nord I was super delighted
28:08 this sums up the whole video. Angry bergamaschis in 3, 2, 1...
Honestly Brescia’s “V” reminds me of Velez Sarsfield from Argentina they both are very distinct and the fact that the both clubs has Kappa as their kit manufacturers
It reminds me of FC Lugano
Vélez amargoooo
And Girondins Bordeaux too.
elfrutero 46 Español no es mí idioma natal. Discúlpame.
Congratulations from Brazil for the wonderful documentary! Amazing! Spectacular!
I'm from Lombardy and I have to say that this is one of the best Italian football documentaries I've ever seen on youtube. Great job.
Thanks you just helped me pass some time and learn something I didn’t have a clue about plus I like Atalanta 👊🏾
In England I like a lot arsenal... Respect from bergamo... W ATALANTA & ARSENAL 🖤💙❤️
this has got to be the best video i have seen in a long time. its 6 32 am and i should have slept an hour ago but i found it and could not stop it. great job guys
The sacrifices we make . . .
Who’s here after Atalanta won the europa league?
🙋🙋
This is pure gold. Thank you for producing this.
This is the Italian version of Sunderland and Newcastle. The similarities its amazing
Yep it could be, as a guy from Milan I love that rivalry Newcastle-Sunderland!!!
Big guys from the north of the country, working class, distinctive accents, loud and fighty crowds, yes lots of similarities
@@unknownzzz5115 And one has historically been a little better than the other
@@skyrothman8651 thats true!
I'm from Bergamo...and even if I'm an Ac Milan supporter, I have to say that this is probably the best documentary ever made about my City... I hope someone will upload Italian subtitles and propose this thing in our local schools... Really... Thanks!!
Best series on the best UA-cam channel, I just wish you could pump out more episodes more frequently.
One of the best documentaries I've seen about football. At the same level of many Netflix mini series. Cheers mate !
I love this series! Grazie 🇮🇹
Thank You
One day you surely gonna come here, as I really wanna visit India one day...🇮🇹❤🇮🇳
This is just the best documentary ever made about the people of our provinces, and I am also talking about the non-football part.
This is honestly one of the best football documentaries i've ever watched. Great job!
For the first time I didn't realized about timing and so caught up with the content. This is first class and you guys are going to change the world. Congratulation !
This is amazing. I don’t think I’ve learned so much in one video, and I haven’t even finished it yet. Very interesting.
I loved this derby days!!
Thank you for the great content COPA90!!
I enjoyed it very much every single part of it. Not only football but history, traditions, people of the cities. So detailed and well explained. GREAT JOB!
Huge work!👏🏻Love the series 👍🏻😍 Come to Italy more often! 🇮🇹⚽
Kudos to Martino for the fantastic storytelling. He is the true asset of this documentary, big time

BARI - LECCE in Puglia
Genoa- Sampdoria ( derby della lanterna) in Liguria

Hi, I'm from Bergamo and I just wanted to thank you for this masterpiece. Bergamo and Brescia are currently the most hit cities by the covid 19: for me it has been a pleasure to remind myself who we are and not to think to that damned virus for one hour. Take care and brescia sunì.
Molto incoraggiamento e forza da A Coruña, Spagna!

Derby Days on Stuttgart vs. Karlsruhe would be awesome!
Yes.
Great presentation. Thank you for this very interesting documentary. We will be in Lombardia next autumn. I cannot wait to visit these two great towns.
I have Bergamasco ancestry, and i've been waiting so long for our Atalanta to make History !
🇮🇹🖤💙
Even though the presentation is a liiittle dramatic sometimes, DERBY DAYS remains such a consistent, high quality series!
Thank you so much for staying true to this show, it's educational and brings out the word of derbies beyond AC Milan/Inter, Merseyside, Boca Jr/River Plate and rivalries like El Clasico, LFC/Utd, Dortmund/Bayern etc.
I still very much enjoy coming back to the different Balkan derbies. I'd wish their football leagues weren't so damn corrupt though..
this is just fantastic. love learning about regional cultures. bravo COPA90
Derby Days is such a treasure not just for Copa90 but for UA-cam. Really appreciate all the hard work the team put in.
Given that this is from Northern Italy. A lot of those people in that interview had been affected by Corona virus. We should really have them in our thoughts during this tough time.
bergamo was the worst hit in italy
I'm from Italy and you have no idea of how good this video is
This is really the best series on UA-cam 😅
Great quality of video making. Not easy to sum up the passion of an Italian derby as you made. Great job, keep going man!
Love the bearded Brescia fan who's interviewed throughout this, casually having a tipple in his hand every now and then!
The diatribe on the origin of the casoncelli was wonderful .... With all sincerity and without wanting to go into detail I can say that I have deep esteem and respect for both Brescia and Bergamo, as a people and as fans. I am Veneto therefore not biased.
Onore e rispetto per i fratelli Bresciani! ❤️🖤
Da interista bresciano, rispetto. Juve e Atalanta merda

Superb, Amazing, Awesome, Marvelous, I don't have words to define it. Derby Days is a definition of support passion for all football fans. :)
"Italy has never been united, We are city states, we hate each other"
This is true to this day...e oggi come allora difendo la città...
The state made a law, which tells the cop like this,
as soon as you meet a fan, stop and bring him here,
as soon as you arrive at the police headquarters, the cop will have to tremble,
the law doesn't scare us, the state won't stop us, in fact we will not stop, the life of the Ultras is known,
knows only two laws, consistency and mentality
THANK YOU FOR SUCH HIGH QUALITY FOOTBALL DOCUMENTARIES!

Can you guys do a derby days between Juventus and Piemonte Calcio
Divine storytelling and insane cinematography. Incredibly good!
You need to come to Portugal to catch a Derby do Minho, between Vitória SC and SC Braga. It is the best derby in Portugal
Lol na tua rua é o melhor derby...
Amazing video. Thank you to all the people who produced it.
I must say this part about Atalanta and Brescia si one of the best documentaries ever, just not about sport, but in general. Love you COPA90!!! I have seen this maybe 4 times. Like the whole series about derby days, and other stuff on your channels :) kepp working.
E un documentario fatto divinamente Eli. Forse il più bello per descrivere la rivalità più accesa in Italia. Complimenti.
Best football show on YT, big facts
By far the best episode I've seen so far. Incredible how similar and different they are at the same time
Man, that episode give me chills! I feel like i MUST visit Bergamo and Brescia befora i die! Congratulations to everyone
It's amazing when you put together football, history and tradition.
Lovely work!
Ps: Good luck to all of you facing this terrible situation.

- Canarian derby (Las Palmas vs Tenerife)
- Prague derby (Slavia vs Sparta)
-Croatian derby (Hajduk Split vs Dinamo Zagreb)
