    I did it! I did It! What fun. Thanks for the video. I've now purchased several of Fabric Cafe's books. I've made six 3-yard-quilts since COVID 19 has us spending more time at home. 😊

    Thank you for this pattern. I did make it using baby print material and decide to do 2 smaller quilts. Now I am making a black and white quilt using this pattern. Your directions are so clear for me.

    Just finished this quilt with 3 batik prints. Two of them, I didn’t want to cut as they were just too beautiful to cut into little tiny pieces. Perfect pattern for them. Thank you for the demonstration. Your guidance was very easy to follow and I’m loving the outcome.

    I loved this pattern , so I shopped my stash. Cut it out just after lunch yesterday and finished the top br 2 pm this afternoon. It will be sent to Victoria Quilts to be completed and given to a cancer patient. I used a little more than a yard for the main fabrics so I could add larger borders to make it 50" x 70" which they require.
    Sorry I can't figure out how to add a picture. Love your show

    What a beautiful quilt. Love the pattern! To me there is an optical illusion where the rectangles even though perfectly measured, the result is they look slightly askew. Love your elegant voice and your instructions are so easy to follow. I put this quilt on my todo list!

    Perfect timing for me to find this video! Yesterday I bought two 3-yard bundles to make a quilt for our queen-size bed. I actually didn't know what pattern I would use but knew I could find something. So I went on the Fabric Cafe website and found this free pattern and decided it would look good with my fabric. I'm a pretty new quilter and I thought that would be enough fabric for a queen, so I'm so glad that you mentioned that I'd need THREE bundles to make a quilt that size. Also, I was a little confused about the quilt directions so your clear instructions are very helpful. Now I have to hurry back to the shop and hope that they have one more of that particular fabric bundle.

    Laura, when I saw this title in my feed, I thought, what? It must be a baby quilt. And then I realized you only meant a 3-yard quilt TOP. For those of us on tighter quilting fabric budgets this makes a big difference. HOWEVER, there's no reason I can't use some already purchased fabric from my stash, right? But to be completely accurate, this quilt will need three yards of quilt fabric on the front and three yards on the back. All in all, I'm so happy you introduced us to this 3-yard quilt top concept. And as usual, thanks for the expert instructions; also, thanks Fabric Cafe, for the free pattern!

    • @FabricCafe
      @FabricCafe 5 років тому +1

      You are correct! You can make the quilt top, borders and economy binding from 3, one yard cuts. Add 3 more yards for your backing. Enjoy! Donna Robertson www.fabriccafe.com
