This month I was playing this song in my car on the way to a psychiatrist appointment weaving in and out of the lanes of roads at high speed, turning it up and rolling down my window inside the covered car park so everyone could hear it. I'm sure you understand.
@@JSTNtheWZRD When you turn up the volume on a song like that it just sounds like mud, like noise, to others. They see you as insecure needing to have everyone else hear what you like...
First heard The Chocolate Watchband in the mid-late 80s, when there was a garage revival of sorts happening in the college music scene of my area. This music never gets old.
I first heard of The Chocolate Watchband from some friends who lived in North Beach. Shortly afterward, I got bored and when to the movies to check out "Riot on Sunset Strip." I was surprised to see The Watchband in that film. Many thanks, heavenlyblueorange!

Marvellous song, brilliant lyrics! Cool footage! Originally by the Broques (1965) which I love as well. However, the best version is by the Chesterfield Kings (1979)! 💺👑

Best cover, best video; a fave! You have forced me into the position of asking you to do I Need You There by the Chessmen(:
Definitely on my list...one of the best!
Don't ask me to move a mountain
Don't ask me to swim your sea
Don't think that I am a tower of strength
Don't lean too much on me
When looking to the future
Don't build your dreams too high
I beg you to remember
I'm just an ordinary guy
I ain't no miracle worker
I do the best that I can
I ain't no miracle worker
I ain't no miracle man
Ask me to be tender
Don't ask me to be true
Don't ask me for the love I have
And I'll give it all to you
But girl, I just can't offer
No storybook romance
Cause, give that's what you're looking for
we just don't have a chance
I ain't no miracle worker
I ain't no miracle man
I ain't no miracle worker
I do the best that I can
I ain't no miracle worker
I'm not a miracle man
I ain't no miracle worker
I do the best that I can

@@heavenlyblueorange You know what, I just decided that all three of them are very, very good! Thanks for your comment!
Two members of the Brogues - Guitarist Gary Cole (later Gary Duncan) and Drummer Greg Elmore would go on to form Quicksilver Messenger Service.

Fun fact, thanks! QMS = 👌
HBO is a miracle worker.
Where's the visual from? It's a nice complement to the music.
The Brogue's version is fire
Can you do a video for The Outsiders Misfit (1968)?
Another great tune by The Outsiders...will keep it in mind!
Great footage to go with the song.
What’s the source of this footage?

I'd love more context on the video... I'm guessing this is a trip to Morocco around 1968 or 69. Care to share more?
These are clips from Frédéric Pardo's Home Movie, filmed in Morocco 1968 on the set of Philippe Garrel's Le Lit de la Vierge.
John Lennon??
With all due respect in my opinion the Beatles at that time made cheesy and commercial music. Greetings user-vw. ✌️
At thesetimes you could travel till katmandou through pak without to be arrested stealed, or rmurdrerd, white people was respected enough yet.
I dont get it,they all "Hippies" but they have enough money for a Music Video ?
The confusion comes from within. Preconceived notions and assumptions make the world seem to contradict itself.
