Balding can either become the biggest prison or the biggest freedom. It is the sword of Damocles that forces you to become antifragile, instead of fragile. This channel is a great lane to walk to antifragile. Thanks for that Harry/Henry. No man should cower himself in the corner, bc of society standards. Unleash the chains

Truly inspirational podcast! Been enjoying your content for a while now and even tho I’m a Norwood 2, but seeing as most of us men will experience some sort of hair loss during our lifetime I feel your content can be valuable to a far greater audience than you may realise. This podcast really illustrates the fact that society have labeled hair loss a decease that needs to be treated at all cost. Massive respect to you for fighting this prejudice and giving men all around the world confidence to embrace their hair loss journey.

An excellent podcast. You both have a forged wisdom and that comes through.
Through your videos, I begin to appreciate the importance of personality and self-confidence. The problem I have is that I am fundamentally a more negative person. I find it almost impossible to change. I can try and put on a positive mask, but people seem see through it regardless. For myself, going bald and its effects has become a microcosm of a broader difficulty.
Anyways, look forward to more content. Cheers to you and Mike.

Having good physical health as can be manifested in a good body is great whether one has hair or not. What I find problematic about the extra emphasis on working out for bald guys is that it serves as a tacit acknowledgment that a bald head is a pronounced deficit to be made up, this was one of the areas where my resentment at being bald kicked in. I think an over emphasis on bald guys working out can be unhealthy and this problematises bald men. Bald guys like all men and even all women should excercise for their health and wellbeing but not necessarily with an emphasis on being 'shredded' in my view. The bald man's acceptance by a potential mate is healthier when not predicated on being completely stacked. I was quite big at one point and thoroughly resented resembling that caricature. I am happier now that I place more emphasis on cardio over weights. I at least partially lament the fact I wear a hair system. Ha ha!

Don't get me wrong, on baldcafe or reddits r/bald, people are always super nice and supportive but every single time someone takes the plunge and shaves their head there are a lot of people saying "now grow a beard and get shredded, and you will be fine!". You do not need a beard or abs to validate yourself. Your baldness is not a deficite. You are whole, nothing to make up for, abs or no abs, beard or no beard.

What killed my hair is this: i went through a longish period of depresion with binge drinking, binge eating and 15 kg weight gain. Looking back at pics my hair were starting to thin, even if it was masked by the lenght of it. I went through 1.5 y of dieting and heavy exercising, i lost all the weight but the hair, they are quite bad atm; They stopped falling but past buzzcut they are BAD (The 2 lenght effect). Still i managed somehow to get kinda out of depression, i found new things, if they fall off it doesnt matter in the end... Sorry for sharing my story, thx if anyone had the patience to read it :)

Clearly, It needs a lot of hard work, time and dedication but it's under your control and it depends on yourself. That's the key of discussion. I think the main problem with balding men is that longer hair quickly looks messy (or even neglected) or is quickly associated with an unfit or sickly body.
Many outsiders assume that in people with long but thin hair, hair loss is not accepted and people close their eyes to the truth. However, the persons concerned do not have to have a problem with it at all.

So I don't think I will look so good bald because of this and I can't grow a beard only light stubble that again is quite fine so it isn't that noticeable. I've thought about dying my eyebrows but then that's a lot of hassle. I also have a vitiligo patch on my head so that doesn't help.

Nothing wrong with embracing a receding hairline or a bit of thinning if you get a good cut. There's plenty of men who still look better with some hair instead of taking it all off. Sure, bald is a great option, but it should never be seen as the only option for those who don't want to go the meds/transplant route.

All of them look good yet all of them have different shaped heads. This headshape thing is way over thought. Yes absolutely there will be guys out there with some skull deformities etc that might genuinely have an u audial shape but even then. Do other people even care? Most men look great with a shaved head, it isn’t the other way around. All that aside I know going bald is tough to deal with so once again, I wish you the best 🤝

ToysForThe ToyGod Does it have to be out of negativity though? Isn't this channel about encouraging one to take the plunge and shave their head despite any reservations they may have that are holding them back? I'm not saying that people aren't cowardly douche bags online but I would personally at least consider suggesting it to someone if their hair is visibly fading because I think that the bald look suits most men, regardless if they're thin or muscular or this that or the other thing. And I myself have taken the plunge. It's a clean look. Maybe that's crossing a line to talk about something like that with someone? I'm not sure. It's not quite the same as telling someone to lose weight, because some people DO have genetic issues and you don't know their background and even if it was out of an eating disorder or depression or some other mental thing holding them back, it's not your place unless you're close to them. But balding, you can shave it off and it grows back easily if you'd rather cling to whatever hair you have left as a balding man. I don't see it as that taboo to talk about, we can't make it out like it's not really a big deal and then act like it's this overly touchy taboo subject. Men need to know that it's NOT a big deal or something to be ashamed of. And when it's coming from me, it's more of "hey man, you should try what I did if you're fearful or on the fence, it's pretty dope!" rather than "you look terrible!".. Am I the wrong one for that? Am I the same as the guys who just say that stuff to mindlessly insult? If anything, I try to lead by example anyway but I don't really tend to think much at all of being bald nowadays.

Saitama oh no doubt sometimes it isnt meant in a negative way and they are trying to help. But its not a strangers place to point it out and tell someone to shave it.

I had a recent experience where I pulled a very physically attractive female. Unusually for me (though not unprecedented) I opened up about having a hair system on the first date as it was going so well. The woman in question proceeded to denigrate the general condition of baldness whilst visibly bald people were in the room. It is this experience which is taking me closer to shaving my head and focusing just on the women that would dig my natural state. Ultimately, that is what we all want I think. If I am honest, attracting women whilst in a hair system is a bittersweet feeling. I am always left wondering what if I had of been bald. This constant reality goes a long way to negating the initial confidence boost that comes with wearing a system. Getting a hair system is a bit like a football team getting a good care- taker manager, results initially improve but the longer time goes on inadequacies reemerge and results drop off, the care-taker is revealed for what he is and a superior solution is required.
