Baldness is never something I’ve noticed in a guy. I always think a guy shaving his head when he’s losing his hair looks far better then someone trying to cover it up. But I understand that it would be a difficult process for some to go through. When I was in my twenties I developed a swelling in my neck which turned out to be a leaking saliva gland. It caused a lump to go up and down around my jawline. Most people didn’t notice but because I knew it was there I was really self-conscious of it and constantly wore a scarf to cover it up. It made me feel very uncomfortable. However much we try and not let things bother us, we just can’t help it sometimes. Anyway, bald heads look fantastic. It’s all about the person anyway, not whether or not they have hair.

Miller, I can relate to everything you just said. I started losing my hair at 16... only in the front, so I did my best to hide it. But everyone knew. The only reason it bother me was because everyone always joked about it. By 18, I was buzzing it but it was still there. Now, I’m 25, it slowed down a lot, and just this past year I decided to buzz it all the way down with a 1/2 inch guard. I can’t explain why I don’t want to just shave it all off completely. My wife doesn’t care, the jokes have slowed down, but I still struggle with it. Thanks for the video. And for anyone reading, if you know someone young losing hair, maybe let them come to terms with it on their own.

Things you can do as a bald guy to HELP. 1. Grow a beard . Stay away from huge beards. Very important - make sure you style it to pronounce your jaw line ( to make it pop out ). No neck beards ! 2. Tan your head . Either fake tan it or get out in the sun. ( becareful not to get burned ). 3. Slim down and work out , so you can wear slimmer fitting clothing. This goes overlooked a lot . Big baggy clothes on a dude that has a sleek dome with a badass beard just doesn't look right . I personally think TO big and muscle bound also can work against you. Trim , sleek and the right amount of muscle works best for this look.. AKA Jason Statham . 4. Wear some glasses -Adds another layer to your face and can slim your look ( good for round heads and faces ). All these things add to the overall look , but at the same time take attention away from your head and puts their eyes elsewhere. These things may seem like common sense , but you would be surprised how many neglect them. Peace.

This was great Simon. I loved your pragmatic approach to this. I know guys in the gym who are worried about going bald but I can tell you from a female perspective that the hottest men on the planet are all bald. The Rock, Jason Statham, Agent 47 (not a real person but he is gorgeous). When a man loses his hair and he decides to embrace it rather than try to comb it over or keep the sides, it is so attractive. It shows that he is comfortable within himself and embracing his masculinity. I personally have a preference for bald men and I know a lot of other women that also do.

I sincerely appreciate your transparency (no pun intended;) as a person, and as someone who uses their platform to inform and help people. Truly, Thank you. Also, at least in my opinion, being less obsessed with vanity, as it applies to looks , and health (even if you have to accept the loss of your hair to get to that place) seems to be a good start! I began to realize that I was on the "Bald Boat" in my 30's! A much longer time to get USED TO still having hair, before realizing that I'm losing it! I've made it to 52, and there's no avoiding that mowing the rest of the hair that's left is now inevitable. And, with a deep breath, I'm looking forward to this new, strange journey! Anyway, I really enjoy your channel! Continued success to you, bald brother😉!

I got an ad for hair loss treatment at the start of this video.
I started thinning at like 23 and it took me ages to come to terms with it. I was buying propecia and some powder that makes your hair look thicker for like 5 years. Bald and big beard makes me look badass now though. Still need to get those tattoos I want to add to the aesthetic though
The powder stuff actually looked really realistic though, if anyone is trying to hide thinning hair prior to coming to terms with the bald, I'd definitely suggest it

I'm lucky/unlucky that my hairline receded around 20-22 years old but the top of my head is secure and it's slowed down a whole lot now at 24 (I'm about a Norwood 2.5). It's thin in the front, but I just embrace it the way it is. I wear my hair sort of short, Like 3-4 inches up top and just push it back with my hand so it's not on my face at all / not hiding my hairline. I actually really like it, but when I first noticed it was a nightmare and I was pretty depressed. Not a huge fan of my bald head, I think I look kind of scary lol

This is such a dumb topic to be worried about but it's something that's really getting to me.
Side-effect of my meds or just genetics catching up, there are parts of my head where my hair is definitely thinning and it's something I've been stressing a lot about, especially since I really like my hair.
So thanks for this video as a reminder it ain't all bad.
Maybe the shape of my head is normal beneath my nice mane.

relate to all of this, I had pretty much the exact same experience/timeline! 😂
started to grow my hair long in uni cos I was finally out of school and an adult so thought why not. noticed it over a couple years getting thinner on top. chopped it back into a shorter style to try and hide it. but it kept getting worse and worse, until one day in my mid 20s I woke up and thought “screw it” and hacked it all off completely with my beard trimmer.
yes it took some adjusting and people getting used to it but the stress of worrying was gone almost instantly!😎
only annoying thing now is having to constantly shave it. that’s one thing no-one ever prepares you for when you go bald.
(seriously, it takes more effort now than when I actually had hair!)😒 lol

Started losing my hair at 20 and I did all the things you did and even had a hair transplant and none worked but discovered SMP! Scalp micro pigmentation. Like a tattoo but a bit different and looks like you just have a constant shaved head and the best bit is you just have to shave your head every couple days like you already do. Give it a go mate worked wonders for me and I thought I had no solution

a few people just don't suit the bald look and they're a little unlucky but the bald look really suits you well so lucky you.

You're lucky with your superb skull shape - but we all have our up- and down sides.
I'm 64, and only now starting to go bald and partly grey around the edges. Still not liking it much I must admit - but I've always worn a cap of some sort indoor and out - which possibly pisses some people off. Now that there's a visible bald patch appearing at the back of my head, I feel strange about the cap myself for the first time.

You are one of these guys who have a shape of head that looks sexy bald. Not everyone is that lucky. I shaved my head once and I looked like I was under cancer chimiotherapy. So I am glad my father still has all his hair at more than 70. 😂

My experience is that I saw the writing on the wall and decided to shave my head grade 2 (I had a bit of a hair peninsular which has now become a hair island) so that I my hair receded and the grade became shorter, it wouldn't be such a big transition. My biggest problem currently is that I need a new set of clippers but there aren't any in all the shops as all the full heads bought them all up at the start of lockdown.

Hah yeah I buzzed it one day... Expecting this whole "freedom" and release from the worry... Which I half had, and half forced... and began growing it back anyway lol.
Fully buzzed now and it just took time to get used to it, but can safely say I prefer it now.

Most bald guys look pretty good bald, I think. It probably helps to be confident about it.
