My poor gringos, you guys look soo tired. I hope you guys get some rest sooner than later. Thank you for showing me my country . Stay safe, many blessings .♡
I love you guys. Thx for going to my home town. I really hope my people made u feel warm and welcome. Zacatecas is different Mexico is mix of people from all over the world. I'm glad u guys get to see that.
Hi güeros! I have gotten to know Mexican people from every Mexican state and I can tell you few facts about Zacatecanos: People from Zacatecas likes spicy food so much, more than any other Mexican people from other states; Zacatecanos for the most part are very quiet, humble and traditional people; Their favorite Mexican dish is birria; Their favorite Mexican music is tambora; They do not embrace modernization as their Mexican counterparts; Most of Zacatecanos are light skinned people; Female beauty in Zacatecas is very abundant. Few observations I have learned in many years interacting with Zacatecanos. Good luck güeros 👍✨🍀
Actually the asados are the state favorite, the most famous one is "asado de bodas" and its not that we dont embrace modernization, its that we cant build anithing! We cant even fix our houses, cause we have to go to the city hull to ask for permits, then they have to contact UNESCO to supervise that the new costruction follows the standards and that can take years!!! For example, one of my friends lives at Avenida Hidalgo, where cathedral is, the roof of her house has collapsed completely in 2 rooms, and she is being asking them for the permits but she haven't get an answer, i dont kbow if you noticed that in that same avenue many houses are almost in ruins... Well thats UNESCOS fault... But its a world heritage site right? Ooohhh plus the city is not alowed to build anything that over pases cathedral just like in Seville with the Giraldas.
Zacatecas was in the colony times one of the most richest cities in the world, because of the silver minning, nice city now... and still producing silver
Zacatecas was bigger than Queretaro in the old times the road that get to zacatecas pass by Queretaro and Queretaro was only a city of transit compering to zacatecas, by the way the same road named as "el camino real" in that times gets to Santa Fe Nuevo Mexico also
pedro carmona i grew up in Phoenix and I love my Mexico probably more then you do and if I say Zacatecas it’s southern Mexico it’s because it is I know it’s right on the middle but for me it’s still southern Mexico because of their couture so don’t be a smart ass
Martin Zazueta and about Culture?? It's colonial and most people there are lighter skinned so I don't know what you are talking about "Southern Mexico culture" in Zacatecas, it's not...😂😂😂😂
Zacatecas is beautiful...that view of the city it reminds me of Tijuana, the houses on the hills, I bet at night is even more beautiful... Saludos Amigos
Oscar Falco take it easy....I said the view of the hills with houses on them.... I didn't say just the houses or the city.... I know that Zacatecas is a colonial City....I was born in Merida...so I know
Well leving a side the around 400 years the cities have since their foundations, both cities wher created the exact same way. They where not ment to be cities at the firts place, Zacatecas was just a minor mining town till they found the big mines of gold and silver and people started moving in wherever they could thats why it doenst have a single straigt street, as for tijuana, we already know how it started, cantinas, prostitutes and American soldiers and their dollars, same situation difrent kind of mine lol... But we already know that prostitutes and alcohol tenths to make cities and you can see that all along the center states of the U.S. when the union pacifica and the central Pacific where building the railroad most towns next to te rail tracks wher made by prostitutes, alcohol and workers of the railroad.
You guys are so awesome! Thank you so much for sharing this video with the world and encouraging your viewers to visit the wonderful state of Zacatecaz! It's a beautiful state with lots to offer, just gotta get out and explore!
Hello G & G! :) So nice to watch your new video after my long day at work. Hillary, I think it's great that you did all those things in Zacatecas even when you are afraid of the dark, tunnels and probably heights too. Good 4U!!!! :) Gracias por compartir su experiencia!
I have just discovered you guys, and of course I subscribed to your channel. Thanks for showing to the world my parents State Capital! Loved the Feria de San Marcos Vlog that was just done a couple of weeks ago! Keep up the good job!
Wow! You guys were right, it is amazing. The diverseness of the area just fuses so well giving Zacatecas its unique charm and the quality of your videos only serve to better enhance the experience, saludos.
ZACATECAS IS A VERY COLORFUL CITY.... Just beautiful.... YOU MIGHT WANT TO CHECK OUT AGUASCALIENTES CITY... Another lovely city with expats as well as Zacatecas....
Another awesome video! My family is from Northern Zacatecas that borders Durango and yes almost every small town has a working mine, Zacatecas is full of culture. Thank you for showcasing all parts of Mexico!!
Omg!! I’m from Zacatecas and I’m so glad y’all got to explore and experience its beauty! ❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽 Agriculture is what most people do there’s, that’s why y’all saw alot of western (vaqueros) dress people! Also Zacatecas has some pretty good clubs lol😎🙌🏽 specially La Mina Club, which is an underground club, y’all should check it out next time! Thanks for appreciating our Mexican culture and taking the time to learn about! 🙏🏼🙏🏼💕💕
Sup guys? Another great video ! It sounds crazy that a couple of gringos are teaching usted mexicans about the awesome places we hace un our country... Thanks for domingo that ! Bye.
Over 61k subs! You guys made it! Great job, been here since 10k, it’s been fun. Still disappointed you didn’t visit my home state Jalisco( of course you been in Puerto Vallarta but the north it’s better!).
You have to try the ice cream from the carrito which is near of the Primary School, and u have to try the gorditas de birria too! I love your channel guys! I love Zacatecas!
Great video as usual. you guys are swesome! BTW: in Spanish if you refer to people (ie:Zacatecanos) you can refer to males and females in one word. Zacatecanos for example, or Queretanos. No need to say Zacatecanos and Zacatecanas. You only need the male plural and that would include females as well. Kind of like Mankind.The only time you would say Zactecanas, Queretanas, etc is if the group does not include any males. Just trying to help because I am so impressed with your amazing progress in learning Spanish so fast!
Hello I'm new here.....happy New Year to you and your family...very nice video of my hometown Zacatecas Mexico ✌🏻...we live in Ventura California u.s.a.
Hi weros, I'm glad you went to Zacatecas! Don't forget to try the aguamiel, which is a delicious beverage made from the maguey and try to go to Jerez and Fresnillo, which are little towns near Zacatecas capital. Saludos! By the way, thank you for taking a picture with my wife back in Querétaro, at La mega soriana Lol. :) P.S. Don't miss Zacatecas Centro Histórico by night! The architecture looks amazing since the buildings are very well enlighted, a video of it is a must.
Ahhh.....Zacate=grass, add the 'cas' and its meaning is "People of the grasses/grasslands",duh....Ya hear a word and you don't really tend to analyze its meaning, like with 'Querétaro, in P'urepecha its spelled K'erhitaru and its meaning "Place where the ball game is played", probably the tlachtli prehispanic ballgame, of which only in Sinaloa is it still played. Cerro de la Bufa, what a view, thank you my dear Goyo, Güerita Linda for sharing yet another AWESOME upload! As for Gringos getting to know Zacatecas better, applies also to us Mexicans from other States as well! :)
So cool. I love to ride the gondolas. Such a great view. You can't do everything in one trip as you know, so there's more for you to come back for. Get some rest ;-)
You have to go to Juchipila, Zacatecas during the fair festival it usually starts in the biggening of January you will be so amazed at all the cool traditions their are. Also you will find food that you have not tried as far as I can remember in any of your videos. It is just so cool also if you go my family has a home in a small little rancho named Amoxochitl 5 min away from Juchipila you can find a few u tube videos on it. So there for the 1st of January they have a rodeo or Jaripeo in Spanish and all of the neighboring ranchos from Juchipila go to it. You won't regret it I promise. Then on the 2nd of January they have a Jaripeo just for the people from Amoxochitl. It's so cool who ever is down to ride a bull lol usually small calf's they can it's all in fun even girls try it. It's so much fun. Also I think we are the friendlyest people you will get invited into their homes feed you.
Alexandre Dumas, the famous author of worldly renown novels such as The Count of Montecristo and The Three Musketeers refers to Zacatecas's mines... the humongous fortune of Spada (the hidden treasure that Edmond found after escaping from prison) and the investments made by European investors included commodities from Zacatecas, such as: Gold, Silver and Wool!!!
I think you are confusing the Zacatecos with the Zapotecos. The Zapotecos are from Oaxaca and the Zacatecos are from Zacatecas. Fun fact: Benito Juárez was Zapoteco.
Salvador Alejandro: Of course we know that! We are referring to the original indigenous people of the area before and during the Spanish colonization. They were known as the zacatecos and were part of the Chichimeca nation.
My parents are from Zacatecas, but I was born in the U.S. I took a DNA test and I was 70% Iberian and 30% Native American. I can see why so many are light skinned there lol.
The Zapotecas are from Oaxaca (you got to go there, it is amazing), not Zacatecas. The word Zacatecas originates from Nahuatl, the language of the Mexicas (Aztecs). It means "the place of abundant grass". The Spanish word for grass is "pasto" or "cesped", in Mexico we also use the word "zacate" which comes from Nahuatl (like the word "chocolate"). Many Nahuatl words were incorporated into Spanish.
Sup guys! As always nice to watch your videos, if you want to hiking and see nice places... Go to Durango Durango.. there's a movie set for Western movies, mexiquillo, el puente de rio chico, otinapa, el parque del tequan, el mirador de los remedios, la catedral, la hacienda la Ferreira, la gorditas y pulque en el pueblito...
Went to Zacatecas for my honeymoon in 2010, beautiful city. I will be going to Mexico in a month...yyyyyyyyaaaaaaaaahhhhhh

My poor gringos, you guys look soo tired.
I hope you guys get some rest sooner than later.
Thank you for showing me my country .
Stay safe, many blessings .♡
A thousand wowww 😮😮😮 for Zacatecas
It’s beautiful.
haha it really is!!
In my very humble Mexican opinion.....you guys rock. Thanks for sharing my home country with the rest of the world.
Thank you so much Claudio!!
Ive heard of a night club in Zacatecas built inside a mine which makes the acoustics a very unique experience.
If you see the past video about la mina del eden, they were there but its a club and they charge cober they didnt want to go in.
yeah i went there.. it's pretty cool underground.. you can't just walk out though, they lock the doors behind you.
I love you guys. Thx for going to my home town. I really hope my people made u feel warm and welcome. Zacatecas is different Mexico is mix of people from all over the world. I'm glad u guys get to see that.
Hi güeros! I have gotten to know Mexican people from every Mexican state and I can tell you few facts about Zacatecanos:
People from Zacatecas likes spicy food so much, more than any other Mexican people from other states;
Zacatecanos for the most part are very quiet, humble and traditional people;
Their favorite Mexican dish is birria;
Their favorite Mexican music is tambora;
They do not embrace modernization as their Mexican counterparts;
Most of Zacatecanos are light skinned people;
Female beauty in Zacatecas is very abundant.
Few observations I have learned in many years interacting with Zacatecanos. Good luck güeros 👍✨🍀
I can see all of that! Especially with some of the modernization aspects!
Oh and they have earrings called arracadas but the specific one that you should look for is the Arracada Jerezana.
Correct!❤
Love my State and City...love Zacatecas. Many thanks guys!❤
Zacatecas was in the colony times one of the most richest cities in the world, because of the silver minning, nice city now... and still producing silver
Isn't that amazing? It's crazy how close that old mine is to the city!
Zacatecas was bigger than Queretaro in the old times the road that get to zacatecas pass by Queretaro and Queretaro was only a city of transit compering to zacatecas, by the way the same road named as "el camino real" in that times gets to Santa Fe Nuevo Mexico also

Martin Zazueta .... Zacatecas is in North-West Mexico, hours North of Mexico City 😂😂 You obviously don't know much about Mexico
Dulce Maria You cant compare with Tijuana. Zacatecas is a Colonial city. Those houses in the hills some are are also. Colonial.
Oscar Falco take it easy....I said the view of the hills with houses on them.... I didn't say just the houses or the city.... I know that Zacatecas is a colonial City....I was born in Merida...so I know
That escalated quickly lol

Galerías Zacatecas is great too, it's a Mall in Zacatecas.
Have fun
Alexandre Dumas, the famous author of worldly renown novels such as The Count of Montecristo and The Three Musketeers refers to Zacatecas's mines... the humongous fortune of Spada (the hidden treasure that Edmond found after escaping from prison) and the investments made by European investors included commodities from Zacatecas, such as: Gold, Silver and Wool!!!
Oh wow!! That is so cool! I have read those books but it has been so long!
Excelente video
I think you are confusing the Zacatecos with the Zapotecos. The Zapotecos are from Oaxaca and the Zacatecos are from Zacatecas. Fun fact: Benito Juárez was Zapoteco.
Chivo EXACTLY!
The Spanish word for grass is “zacate”, from the Nahuatl “zacatl” from where the word Zacateco was derived.
The people from Zacatecas are called Zacatecanos not Zacatecos
Salvador Alejandro: Of course we know that! We are referring to the original indigenous people of the area before and during the Spanish colonization. They were known as the zacatecos and were part of the Chichimeca nation.
I messed up that whole section haha
Beautiful city
The state I was born in wow you make me wanna go home
aww, well thanks for exploring it (virtually) with us :)
Beautiful zacatetas....
You should visit Morelia, it is another beautiful city in Mexico.

It's always great to see Americans exploring towns that are rarely visited by mainstream tourists.
Wauu..zacatuercas
you guys need to go to Parral Chihuahua, to visit the place were Pancho Villa was killed
Parral and Chihuahua very dangerous places
I been there 3 times with my family, my wife Hess relatives there and yes is a beautiful old city. 😎
From there you could go to Durango/Mazatlan or Monterrey
Cute Zacatecas in my proximus vacations
You guys HAVE to go to Jerez and try the ice cream and carnitas. It’s one of the Pueblos Mágicos. Like u have to go lol
