CADILLAC GREATNESS NEVER GOES OUT OF STYLE!!! I own a 1966 Cadillac Sedan deVille that I purchased in April 1969. It is much more powerful and responsive than my 1989 Brougham.
An uncle of mine had a 1965 Fleetwood Brougham and it was majestic, as were his 1969 and his 1973. When he went to trade in 1977, he was horrified by the downsizing, switched to Lincoln, and never looked back!
I dated a girl in 1966 in grade school whose parents had a 1966 DeVille. I still think that dash was the prettiest I've ever seen in a postwar car. That car wasn't fast, but it was so very quiet and smooth. Her father had a 1965 Lincoln and it wasn't as quiet or as smooth.
A friend of mine in Dallas had one of these in 2001.. it was truly remarkable. However, the long-established Cadillac dealer wouldn’t touch it. They were unable to replace any parts on it, and I think they were terrified of the liability of even having it on their property.
Truly the Standard of the World--the Fleetwood Broughams were masterpieces of art and engineering! Thanks for sharing the video
