The MK1s (all three variants) are due to be gradually phased out beginning in 2026. I would hope they keep 001 and 002 for display at Science World, our first station. Maybe they could use the remainder as an artificial reef as NYC did with their old Redbirds.

yo one some corricton the mark 1s r still in great shape runing at 35 years old wow glad to see those old mark 1s they will never retire
yup i love the mark 1s i live in surrey and so i will be in the retirement run
Still the odd ones with the original livery from 86. Some refurb, but they have held up pretty well.
