I like the concept of holding Kaya’s until late game, but I also say it’s highly dependent on matchup. Against doffy I’ll always want to Kaya early to avoid pudding and just speed up my mill. Against rush decks Kaya will be better late game and I would rather have counter. To me Kaya is the best card but used too aggressively it can put you in a bad spot, I think more so than anything it’s understanding the opponents leader and curve to understand how aggressive you should be.
I feel like early vs late is a bit simplistic. I think the key is that hand trimming part. There are 2 piece of value with the cards effect, mill and hand filter. If you have cards you dont really want in my opinion filter them out regardless of late vs early.
My Nami senior wisely said 'kaya is a filter' which we all know. so I ask myself do I like my cards? Do I have at least 1 thing to toss? Coz if not and I kaya with a good hand into 2 good cards I'm tossing my own value and losing 1 hand in the process. Another thing you can try vs slower decks is take 1 or 2 life early esp if blocker is up or playing against banish deck (robin kaido kata)
yo dude, u have a link to that nami discord? also i personally like just pumping em out. i dunno why but i noticed that it helpts with lucci matchups a lot (i play impel down tbf cuz of thatfrgn 8 cost guy)
I think if your strategy primarily revolves around keeping Kaya for the last quarter or so of your deck.. it might warrant swapping out snake dance for boodle. You get protection, a 1k counter and a card milled on KO. Come on bro.. appreciate boodle. lol
