No doubt the collar and cuffs are the stars of the show today, stunning! Personally I would keep them together and archive them. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks Linda - yes definitely going to do that. I have a little more history from the person I purchased them from - they were from a textile collector and are most likely Edwardian. I’ve looked online and yet to find anything that resembles them so I think they are pretty rare!
What a beautiful collection you have received. I love them all and of course the collar and cuffs are completely works of art. They would look so lovely framed together somehow. Thank you for sharing them all with us. xx
Thank you Jacqueline - yes the collar and cuffs are incredible and I will find a way to display them to their full beauty. Hope your week starts off well. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you Giusi - I feel so fortunate to be able to see, hold and share something as exquisite as this. Makes my stitching look like big dogs teeth as Rachel would say 😆
Thanks so much - I will definitely find a way to preserve and display the beautiful collar and cuffs which I’ve been able to find out were from a textile collector and most likely Edwardian. Unfortunately no other details available. But I also can’t find anything similar online so perhaps a rare design too. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thanks so much Pat - I will definitely find a way to preserve and display the beautiful collar and cuffs which were from textile collector and most likely Edwardian. Unfortunately no other details available.
What a lovely haul and how utterly exquisite are the collar and cuffs - your idea of framing them is such a great way to preserve them - all the best Sally 😊🌼
Wow such beautiful treasures. Oh my the lovely cutwork with stunning red crosses yes should be on display. Darn think I might miss the live but will definitely watch the next day. Aww your tea cup is looking fabulous yep definitely want a look see. Have a wonderful time and I am sure there will be a wonderful crowd joining in and chatting away.
Thanks Karen - I will definitely find a way to preserve and display the beautiful collar and cuffs which were from textile collector and most likely Edwardian. Unfortunately no other details available.
What a wonderful haul! It certainly got my creative juices flowing. I especially love the very fine linens. I look forward to seeing what you do with them all! 😀
Incredible that the bundle was only $12.00. What a treasure you found! So happy for you. ❤ Edited to add, I would frame the collar and both cuffs because those are museum quality. Can't help but wonder about their story!
Thanks so much - I love a mystery bundle like this one. And I will definitely find a way to preserve and display the beautiful collar and cuffs which were from textile collector and most likely Edwardian. Unfortunately no other details available.
Lovely haul again, wow, you find so many lovely things. I’ve been quiet of late, sitting back watching everyone have so much fun. I have been ‘afflicted’ with Peripheral Neuropathy, and anything and everything I do with my hands hurts or sends electric shocks up my arms and through my body. A few of my fingers are swollen and feel like they are raw, others feel just numb and the rest are just so very sensitive. I’ve got to wear braces on my wrists at night, and I change them and put on compression fingerless mitts when I want to do stuff. My feet are also affected, some days feeling like I’ve been kicking brick walls barefoot, just for the fun of it. Many crafts are impossible for me right now, I can do a little crochet sometimes, I can’t knit, I can stitch a tiny bit but I have to put thimbles, finger stalls or silicone sleeves on all my fingers as everything feels so sharp. Makes stitching a bit difficult. I can machine sew, so have been contemplating making things in the ‘Snoppy’ style. Anyway this wasn’t meant to be a whinge, and it isn’t, it is just to let you know I’m still here, watching, and will be watching your new series, even if I miss the premiere. Cheers.
I’m so sorry Kathy that you’re having such challenging health experiences. I’ll hold you in my thoughts and I hope you’re getting good medical support too. Snoppy style machine stitching might be a great way for you to still get your creative cup filled. Thank you as always for your support and I’ve been thinking about you with this vintage transfer design project and the beautiful transfers you shared with me. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you Christine for your video and sharing such beautiful goodies with us. What a bargain that bundle was, very envious. The collar and cuffs are most definitely worth keeping together and setting them in a frame. I wonder what the history of the set is. It's a shame you could not approach a museum to get information, but I would imagine these days there would be a hefty cost involved. It would be lovely to find out it's history and age. Looking forward to your premier. Hugs to the handsome Travis 🤗🤗 as always.
Thanks Carol - I was able to find out a tiny bit more information from the person I purchased them from. They were from a textile collector who had a large collection including many Edwardian pieces that these are likely also. Unfortunately no further information and my online searching hadn’t yielded any similar examples so I am thinking this is quite a unique piece. Trav sends you a big tail wag 🐾
Hi Christine, you have a bundle of exquisite linens there at a great price but, I'm afraid the collar and cuffs steal the show! They are beyond stunning! I would love to hear some history behind it if you research it. I think putting them on display so that you can always see them is what I would want to do. But, I will admit the temptation to wear them once would be very strong. 😂 TFS 😊
Thanks Kim - I will definitely find a way to preserve and display the beautiful collar and cuffs which I’ve been able to find out were from textile collector and most likely Edwardian. Unfortunately no other details available. But searching online suggests it is a rare design as I haven’t found anything similar. Cheers, Christine
well, I would wear the collar and cuffs for a bit and then save them. But for me some of the white on white linen were stunning. amazing. Have a lovely weekend Catherine
I think I am a bit scared to wear them but I do feel they deserve to be worn. So I think it will just be displaying and preserving them for me. I’d love to know who made them and when (the person I bought them from has now shared that they were from a large textile collector who had many Edwardian pieces). Have a lovely week ahead. Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful collection……I would also be interested in knowing the age of the collar and cuffs…..such exquisite work I was thinking perhaps displaying the collar on some sort of model with the cuffs next to it in a glass cabinet or as you suggested…in a frame 🦋🌸
Thanks Linda - I’ll keep my eye out for a little bust or something for displaying it. Thanks Linda - yes definitely going to do that. I have a little more history from the person I purchased them from - they were from a textile collector and are most likely Edwardian. I’ve looked online and yet to find anything that resembles them so I think they are pretty rare!

It's incredible what a human being's hand is able to create! How wonderful! Luckily there are people who still appreciate these masterpieces! Tfs ❤

The collar and cuffs are so amazing and probably belong in a museum, at least here in the USA. ❤❤❤

I'm with you: I would frame that lovely set and hang it where I can see it and admire it. It's so beautiful! How tiny the neck opening seemed to be ❤❤
Definitely going to do that and yes, such a fine neck 💙🧵🪡
What a wonderful haul! It certainly got my creative juices flowing. I especially love the very fine linens. I look forward to seeing what you do with them all! 😀
Thank you Chrissie - there were some really special pieces even amongst that $12 bundle!
Those collar and cuff designs are gorgeous. It’s amazing to see how skilled some sewists can be!
I’d be terrified to turn them into something!
Yes, these definitely need to be displayed and preserved 🤗 cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
