Finally .2 RS content, love it Matt. Excited to see the car come together. Also, thank you for getting rid of the lime green wheels and the spoiler logo honestly worst part of the near perfect .2 RS’s. Those with the side skirt decals are also really distracting and ugly
Man i have been waiting for this series to start ever since you got this green accented monster. I breathed a deap breath of realif when you started ripping PORSCHE off the back wing, it looks so good clean.
Matt, I’ve got STEK on my e92 M3 front bumper. Replaced xpel ultimate. Not sure of the STEK product I have, but like you said, the clarity is very good. However it is not as durable as xpel. It also doesn’t heal moderate scratching (like a test spot by dry rubbing on it). Over 20K miles, the film looks much more beat up than xpel and now hasn’t retained the initial clarity. My film is 3 years old so hopefully your experience is better. My car is also black so it shows the rock hits on the plastic protection easily.
You mentioned you take it to the mountains a couple of times. Have you ever tried the high downforce setting on this or your Gen 1 RS? Rear wing angle change, and there is a piece in front of each front wheel you have to remove to have equal aero balance front to rear . Would be an interesting video and would be cool to see if one can notice the change a backroad speeds.
Matt heard you on with Tom and Dan today. The voice was very familiar cause I tuned in a bit late but when the two crazies made ya laugh I said yep that's the man Mr. Obsessed garage himself.
Do you know you've gotta feed Mike? That's a thing. You feed your camera guy. Hey Mike, remember? Remember that one time? Remember, when Adam didn't feed you?
Entertaining video Matt. I watched the ppf install on the Presidential channel and it looks amazing! My white E90 M3 is scheduled for a full DYNOshield install. Did you ever consider STEK’s DYNOmatt for that “frozen” look?
*Unpopular opinion* Clarity does not equal strength. A compromise has been made with the ability to protect against rock chips. In favor of clarity and shine. It's a great looking product and super easy to apply but I feel like STEKs R&D goes into looks and ease of use rather than longevity and impact resistance. With PPF you can't have it all unfortunately. Not yet at least!
Is there a reason you didn’t go with SunTek’s new 11 mil thickness film? I have it on a few of my cars and it’s super clear with no orange peel and extra thick for track duty. Just got it put on my lizard green 2019 GT3RS.
@@ObsessedGarage The civic does look almost brand new probably very very hard to find I've owned one unfortunately they where made very cheap you will see one colder morning I Braley I mean Braley hit a tree backing up and going 3 mph the whole mirror completely broke off. Then the hood latch just broke off for no reason I was just trying to open the hood the sheet metal they used is very cheap dings and tents come very easy the amount of clear coat they used was bare minimum you will see I'm not saying the prelude was better My question is there anyway you could get a prelude? I've owned one amazing car I understand you just got the civic but maybe in the future?
Ok, people, no worries. In less than a new vendor, this PPF will be removed. I'm thinking of waiting a year or two after Matt likes or dislikes a product to be safe. This is jumping the shark video. Please don't install black wheels on a white car for the State Trooper look. I love your videos and products but this was sad. Please take that wing off unless you need a place for your coffee and doughnuts.
Video quality (editing, filming, etc) has gone to another level!
That’s because of new monitor 😄
Might i suggest an ND filter.. white balance is way outta wack..
The voice over during the closeups was a nice touch. Felt really professional.
Yo. This video quality has me feeling some type of way. And I’m watching plastic being peeled for god sake. Lol!!
21:25 "There's a lot of letters in Porsche."😂🤣😂🤣
I belive I need a 4k TV/Monitor to keep watching your videos. Everything else simply doesnt serve it justice. Really good Info and Video Quality!
Matt, I just want to tell you ahead of time. When you get done fixing up the GT3 RS I will buy it for $75K
I'll go $75,100
@@briancarrier9299 I called first dibs. It's mine.
These videos are so crisp now. Lighting is much better than when they were really dark. Also, I like voice over B-roll vs. techo beatz.

Those new vossens look AMAZING!!!
Front decal removal=-40hp, Rear PORSCHE decal removal=-200hp you’re breaking our Porsche guy hearts here Matty. Good series, I’ll be watching!👍🏾

Love watching, every morning with my coffee i get my daily fix

Depending on which STEK film you have you should have either a 5 or 10 year warranty. I’d look into that if you think it may be failing.
Interesting on the fact you’re coving the car completely, wounding on the long term care and life of it. Thanks Matt for your content
The car has now officially been devalued enough that the rest of us mortals might be able to afford it when it goes up for sale next month :) lol jk
Matt those Vossen wheels are going to look amazing. I love that style!
And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting fooooooooor!!!!!!!!! (in my best Bruce Buffer voice). Pretty excited for this one Matt!
Man I could feel the tension when those lines on the first headlight showed up after removal haha! This will be awesome when done Matt
That looks extremely satisfying to remove, and equally as terrifying
He put the logo on the ball of ppf. 😂 hilarious!
Just did my car with GTechniq HALO on my XPEL Stealth. Solid product.
Solid dad joke at the end.
I cant help but stare at the green pinstripe on the wheel lol. However, I really like the center cap with the green RS

The shop in my area only uses STEK. Very legit.
Note, Matt: Pull the PPF towards you, as going against the paint can remove paint. Heat and pull towards you.

It just hit me...Matt looks like Toby from The Office
huge facts 📠
Good stuff. The PPF I’ve worked with has been a pain to remove
I like this setup, with the different angles. :)
I really don't like the combination of yellow and green, so the new wheels are going to look great!
Have you looked at Topaz channel ?
They are the masters of ppf.
They are masters at high volume.
@@ObsessedGarage The no blades to the paint looks legit tho right ?
PPF removing seems to be a tricky job !
You should check out Clearguard Nano , its way clearer than any other brands. virtually no orange peel. Also , I believe its 8mils.
The green stripe wheels would be nice if the calipers were green too, not sure why porsche would make them clash
Do you know you've gotta feed Mike? That's a thing. You feed your camera guy. Hey Mike, remember? Remember that one time? Remember, when Adam didn't feed you?

On non white high end cars, ppf is awesome.
For me PPF is never awesome. It's just a bandaid needed for certainly applications.
What are your thought s on doing a full Manthey Racing mod on it?
I'm not sure what that is.
@@ObsessedGarage www.manthey-racing.de/MR_Flyer_Porsche_911_GT3-RS-MR_2019.pdf of course settings would need to be for US roads.
Latex gloves Matt! Gloves to prevent cooking your fingertips😉
Is this the car esoteric did last year
No, this is a 2019. That was a 2016.

Did I ever say that? Have unnecessary thickness to the detriment of clarity is not something I'd want.
Hey Matt, will you be putting the TJ Hunt Sonic build on hold now that he's looking to buy a new building?
How do you not burn your fingers that close to the steam?😳
Hi. I have a Turtle Wax...can and love it. But you might prefer 3M. The links are below.
Debadging a Porsche! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
why not start with the back of the hood and then you'll not be pulling up on the front as much?
Hey Mat! Whats the timeline on this car’s duration in your collection? Is she a keeper for years to come, or will you swap it?
I'll likely get a 992.

STEK Dynoshield is the best looking film.
How about a link to Ryan's channel so we can follow?
How about stop being lazy.
Who else is excited to see this car get DIALED IN !!!!
I have a 992 Turbo S coming late fall; What PPF do you recommend? Any solid installers w/paint correction I can ship it to?
Topaz Detailing if possible...
Why can't it still be called a hood? I thought it was a hood because it's in the front not because it covers the engine.
I am loving the new cinematography, but I Matt looks blurry except during a zoom or closer shot. Anyone else experience this?
looks sharp to me but i am watching on a 4k tv.
Good for you man! I don’t care if you are more wealthy than the average man. I’m glad you didn’t have to spend 7-8 grand on new headlights.
13 minuta pierwsza myśl naklej na szafkę Sonic.
Matt so why are you going to redo PPF if you dont really like it? Or are you doing it more as a project for the channel etc?
Driven Hard He likes PPF more than he likes rock chips. Lesser of 2 evils
Matt do you like the the last Gen honda prelude type sh?
I did like it.
Take your time removing all the glue left behind from the ppf especially around the edges. Good luck.

Matt,
PADC has less than 700 subscribers. Prepare them for a jump!!!!!!!!
Looks like OG but in all white? Hummmmmm??????
But for lettering.
On the wing.
Porsche does it well.
Didn't u pay 30k for the ppf?
What?
@@ObsessedGarage Sorry got this confused with your 991.1

I have no idea what you are talking about.
I'm being mesmerized by watching a man peel plastic off a car...
I would have taken off that goofy sticker too
Janky, bro... Leave well enough alone.
That's the dumbest comment I've seen in a while. You are in the wrong place.
