@@bradleylove3514 there’s been consistent footage of dzoe hitting multiple 3s in a row open/contested you can tell he’s been working on it and they aren’t stationary 3s some are of the dribble.

In these recent 2v2s, it was P that carried Dom, that wasn't the case this time tho. Dom had more points and played better D. P gave up too many open 3s to Dzoe which wasn't smart because Dzoe has a shot now. He also was bricking all of the shots he normally makes early on. He picked it up later on but it was too late. Granted, Rob could've ended the game way earlier if he quit playin.
Criticizing dzoe for saying anyone can make a wide open 3 then seeing P miss 4 or 5 of those is crazy. I know thats an off shooting night for P but what im saying is it takes skill and patient to be that consistent at hitting those wide open shots. Dzoe don't miss them often.
If you leave anybody that actually hoops open, they will hit shots at a high clip. Dzoe is not a good shooter. That’s all dev was saying.

@@triplea5853I think it’s assumed that any decent basketball player can hit open jumpers. Of course good shooters have off days and bad shooters have good days too but I wouldn’t consider hitting open jumpers really a skill. It’s more something that just comes with playing a lot and being in the gym. Wide open threes are pretty much free throws.

Put Dzoe in a 5v5 setting with Rob-caliber typa players and he’s not hitting at the same consistency. That’s all Dev is saying

Imo Dzoe is more of a spot up/catch and shoot kind of shooter. He hits consistently when his feet are set and he has time to really shoot.
Saying Dzoe can’t shoot is CRAZY. Yea he not shooting off the dribble but he can definitely shoot.

18:21 - This whole game was physical, especially at the end. The ref expressed in other games letting players play through things. That bump was not that bad in context of the plays before it from both teams.

I was thinking the same thing. No bias bc I’ve watched both teams. Dzoe has come a long way and the “he’s not a hooper” narrative is no longer valid. He’s worked hard and his game has grown exponentially from two years ago when he could barely dribble

I agree with you regarding pushing Rob left and to the mid range but it’s easier said than done. Rob, although may not score with his left often he is able to dribble and attack with it. Another reason pushing Rob to the middy is a tough task is due to his physicality and speed off the dribble. Rob is more physical and stronger than he shows in this video. Lastly, pushing Rob left means sitting on his right hand. Rob uses this to his advantage by rising up from the left side of his hip for his right handle jumper.
All this being said, as I mention I agree with you. It would just take a high IQ player with comparable speed and physicality. And yes, attack Rob to wear him and his jumper down is a must.
If dom would start out playing aggressive without having to get riled up he’d be a problem especially at his size

As far as energy level. They ain’t matching it. Watch the tape they are to relaxed and not even putting a hand up. When you see Qel, Kam and especially the Twins you know they bringing that energy with them. Twins might not be the most skilled but they get dubs by pure energy and physicality on the defensive side.
