for really real bro. When you see these NBA guys practice or play lower level games like this (no offense dev you ARE the man), it really showcases just how next level the league is.
That’s because they work around professionals so it increases their skill etc, a normal player can have the same work ethic but they aren’t working with other top tier professionals learning the little tricks & etc that’s where the levels come into play
I'm 6 minutes in and what impressed me the most, more than Bones insane shot making, was his strength. Dev is a stocky dude and he lifts every week. You see even when playing guys like Kyree Walker, Friga, Hesi, Nesco, etc. that his bumps put people out of position enough for them to miss or throw up a worse shot. Bones looks balanced and unfazed on every stepback, rip through, post move, and layup even when Dev bodies and bumps him. There are times Dev tips the ball on the shot, or gets in his shot pocket, pokes him on a layup, or he has to shoot from an awkward position and he still makes it. Bones looks super skinny too. Kyrie, Spencer, and Oliver had the same look to them on those bumps. That NBA level strength is completely different at higher levels. Bones also is never breathing heavy. The shape, strength, and overall athleticism these guys are in is more than what meets the eye
It doesn’t hurt that dev doesn’t contest after a bump. Means they don’t have to get the ball out of position which helps stay on balance. Not saying I’d be able to either, but that’s the difference in elite athletes and regular folks.
It's on purpose to be fair. He doesn't wanna even risk getting under them to cause an ankle turn or whatever else. Thats why people have been harsh on dev in these 1s with the pros since they dont think they're actually competing hard. But he understands they have seasons to play. @@sleezyclips8068
Bro an NBA players ability to make the game look so easy and effortless is what’s so impressive about them. I feel like I can do everything Bones did in this video but I indeed cannot.
Definitely a fan of your channel. In-game commentary and personality aimed at keeping it friendly competition stands out amongst all the other 1v1 channels where people are striving to prove themselves w/ the “war” & “trenches” mentality. Keep it up, Dev!
@Muttal9348 i mean it literally does tho, nobody’s saying he wasn’t trying to score, he just wasn’t playing like he NEEDED to win. If he NEEDED to win, he’d bully Dev until he made an adjustment and then would start killing him with his moves. NBA players shouldn’t need to try their hardest against most non-nba players, it’s simply a fact and it doesn’t say anything about dev. Everybody knows Dev is better than like 95% of people in the world, but that last 5% is another level, and NBA players are in the too
Bones honestly top 3 favorites of mine in the league. I'M about 6'2 6'4 wingspan and built like identically to bones. I have like a shifty playstyle as well so he always resonated with me. My other 2 favorite players which id love for you to play is JALEN GREEN & JORDAN CLARKSON . Jordan does a lot of open run 1v1 stuff so that one should be do-able.
Hey Dev! I just wanna let you know that I really been taking to time to work on my handles with your how to get handles playlist for between 20-45 minutes everyday no days off. And I’m starting to see improvements, I’m starting from the beginning and once I master that then I can move on to the next level. I always take extra time to work on specific moves that I struggle with and practice till I can master it. My legs really burn and my veins are popping out a LOT. My goal is to see improvements by June because I wanna get my handle tight while my shooting right so I can make my school basketball team this year since I didn’t last year. I also want to play college ball. And if I ever break someone’s ankles. I will give a shoutout to you Dev because you’ve really help me out to get way better handles than ever before. And I do use the silent basketball on top of that, unfortunately it isn’t the in the lab one because it sold out and that was the main silent ball I really wanted. But I hope you have a great day and god bless.
@ if we’re comparing two guys going at it 1v1, it’s probably better to compare it out of 10 games. If ant and Brunson played 1v1 10 times I’d imagine ant would win 6-8 times
@@chengxi179 Whose got ball first and what's the score up to. Brunson is too quick for AD and AD is too big to keep up. He gon injure himself js tryna guard Brunson 😂

Regardless of da Ls it’s jus da fact of da work ethic from both, Bones is a underrated skilled pro so it makes sense as to certain shots he hittin and moves he doin, Dev u BEEN a certified bucket getter so playing players at dis type of level jus improves your game to a even more different level 🔥❗️
If you pause at 11:30 he puts his hand way under the ball before swinging it back. Also if u pause 3:28-29 he carries again. So many players secretly carry to get some crazy moves off.
His ability to maintain his balance with contact allows his feet to set properly and gather fluidly. Dev was also not playing his physical defense. He was allowing too much space to a higher caliber player.

Extremely Rare
That’s why people like Bones end up being everybody’s fan favorite even when they don’t average 30 or something
Yea nowadays, players don’t come from the hood nomore 🤷🏽♂️
bones moves are nice and effortless but his strength kinda surprised me, He had some physicality to him that I didn't expect.
Yep got to for his size
its impossible to be nba level and not take advantage of physicality lol
