Cynar is phenomenal. Had covid a few weeks ago and when I was getting my taste and smell back Cynar was about the only thing I could taste initially and I drank a ton of it. It was a total lifesaver lol
When I got the Covid alpha in December 2020 I lost my sense of smell for a good 3-4 months afterwards. Similar to your experience, it changed my drink preferences. I stopped drinking IPAs altogether and drank a lot more malty beers since I couldn't appreciate the hop aromas.
I enjoyed this video! Here's why: - drinks first, talk later - nice progression of cocktails - This'll help me finish up my bottle of cynar! - finally, fancy video editing!
The horizontal split screen is neat. Cynar is one of those bottles I own that probably has more dust on it than my ceiling fans. I seriously need to rectify that. 🥃
Thank you so, so much for putting the recipe cards within these multi-cocktail videos! Your recipe screenshots are saved in my phone as a mobile recipe book so this is perfect!
I swear this man has to have young kids. I have never heard anything like slappy-poo or crushy-pants except from the nice old ladies at my church who run the child watch. So Tada. My mom knows him as the Slappy-pants guy since I listen while doing dishes.
Thanks for this video! I've been wanting to pick up a bottle of Cynar as I start to get more and more into this hobby, but I didn't know what I could use it for. Now I've got some ideas on how to get started!
Fantastic!! I have Cynar and I like it, but I don't use it much, so this is great! Looking forward to similar videos using other amari. I'm going to have a Too Soon tonight, I think...
YOU MADE THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS!!! :D It's definitely one of our household's absolute favorites, very excited to see you follow my recommendation from some comment a few months ago. It's great that you actually read and appreciate these comments. Keep doing what you do! Side note: I've been subbing Cynar for Campari in my Negronis lately and it's been life-changing. Highly recommend.
Just put in an order for various liquors (June: ill just use what I have. Jan: what's the shipping on that bubble smoke gun?) so these How To Use episodes are awesome
One of your best videos yet. Made the Pineapple Express yesterday and it was awesome!!! Looking forward to paring it with some BBQ. Thanks for finally giving me a use for my bottle of Cynar!
I LOVE Cynar. Haven't tried the first 2 so I can't wait to try them both, they sound amazing. Big fan of the Artichoke Hold cocktail/video you've done before.
I swear we just made a couple of Too Soons (one of our favourite cocktails), sat down in front of the tv, fired up UA-cam, and this video was at the top of our recommendations!
I really like the new set! TEB just gets better and better. Bravo, guys! Making a Pineapple Express right away. (I love Cynar AND Averna.) Keep up the excellent work.
I've had a bottle of cynar sitting on the shelf for a while now. I made the Too Soon tonight. It's great, I like how shaking the orange slices imparts some of the bitter oils that incorporate well in the drink. I imagine I'll be using cynar more, we've been getting into Amari more here lately. I enjoy a nice shot of Montenegro.
Thanks for this, just bought my first Cynar bottle. I will be trying one of these this Friday! Only problem is now I have another Bottle on my list to buy!
Yes!!!! Cynar!! Thank you for the awesome video!! ❤️❤️ now i'm convinced you know what I buy👀...last week I bought a cynar and looked for good recipes... And now you make this video about cynar... It's a little bit creepy... And not the first time it happens 😁 love you guys 🤗 and thank you again ❤️
tbh its been a while since the last time a actively watched your videos, but now i realized that the quality has improved, a, lot, the image looks very nice, even a little editing, (shaking actually cracked me up lol) some nice and chilly BG music. keep it up
Great content! I was just looking at my bottle of Cynar and trying to think of what cocktails to make with it. I've got the 70 proof cynar, which I highly recommend!
Love this episode! And the Bitter Giuseppe is one of my favorite drinks. That tiny bit of lemon does so much work. Also maybe it's just me, but I find Cynar just as sweet as it is bitter.
What are your thoughts on interchanging Cynar with its 70-proof counterpart? I have a bottle of Cynar-70 and can't really justify getting the lower proof original in addition...but want to know if I'm missing out? Haha.
Great timing, I just bought a bottle of Cynar but I can’t say I’m a huge fan. It’s not as bad as Fernet Branca (which tastes the way my canker sore medicine used to taste) but there’s kind of a funk to the bitterness that I’m not loving. Hopefully I’ll find a good way to use it!
Thanks for the great channel! I've had a lot of fun learning to make cocktails during the pandemic and this channel has been super helpful. I plan on buying mezcal next to see how I like it. Might just grab a bottle of cynar as well after watching this video. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for this video. I've been thinking about maybe trying out cynar as the next ingredient, I'll experiment with. Was kind of on the fence, so thank you :)
Awesome! great timing cause i literally made the artichoke hold from your video last night and you were commenting about how people requested - what else we can do with cynar ! happy the repertoire is building. The rabo de gallo was good too!
Been a while Leandro & Marius, hope you guys are well. Love the new set & your improved production values!! Will certainly horse into the Cynar when dry January is over.. Keep Safe !
While I miss the old studio, or was that you're kitchen?... the editing style and music make this a very soothing and relaxing video. Always look forward to your videos guys!
I don't know if you've noticed, but you have a *lot* of videos :-) It's kind of crazy because as a relative beginner, whenever I have a question about something one of your videos pops up and answers it :-) I've been contemplating picking up some Cynar since it's probably the easiest amaro for me to buy around here. I definitely will now!
I really really like the new set and this new style of editing. Works well with this episode when trying to get through a few cocktails. However, I hope you don't deviate completely from the somewhat unedited versions of the one off cocktails that shows of Leandro's personality so well.
Cynar julep right from the bottle is nice. Best of Both World's is amazing too: www.reddit.com/r/cocktails/comments/d9798y/tried_at_a_local_bar_they_called_it_best_of_both/?
Appreciate the Cynar-focused video. I went through your catalog looking for Cynar videos a few days ago before this video was posted. I just got a bottle of Cynar and I'm excited to use it. Very strange to see you use tweezers for ice instead of your hands. Maybe use tongs with larger ends for better grip on the ice?
Loving the new set but I have a question. Seems that the countertop pebble ice machine is always on and at the ready now (is it?) and if it is then have you noticed any downsides in it's performance or your enjoyment of it? Thanks
There's some movie magic there ;) the opal machine is doing great, it's going strong. But we don't keep it om unless we're using it or have it on for shoots. Would not recommend keeping it on all the time. Turn it on. Make some ice and stick in your freezer and make some more when you're running low :) also you gotta make sure to drain it and clean the lines once a month with a 5:1 water/bleach solution to ward off mold and such.
I’m really loving the new set, and I’m glad to see a trio of amaro cocktails, but SOMETHING seems missing. It sounded like 2 of the cocktails had a Chicago connection… Where’s the malört?
This is the 2nd reason I come here. I have a bottle of cynar but I just kinda look at it and it never pops on my head when I'm trying to make a cocktail but armed with this knowledge just maybe it will. Also Chris got called out!
Loved the vid! Why the mixture of fee brothers and regan’s Orange bitters? Do they each bring something that’s different enough to mix them and it makes something different? Just never heard of this before! Also, what is the ratio-just a 1:1?
Why usually cocktails that use amari do not use citrus juice? Without it they seem to me too rigid. And I love amaris. It's not like I'm trying to not feel the bitter. I just feel the bitter is too unidirectional. Maybe it's just my taste, but in almost all of these cocktails, if you add the sour to balance the sweet, the cocktail just opens up like crazy. In the sour giussepe I added half a lime. I really liked it even before the lime, but after it it was a mouthfull of flavors. Am I being blasfemous if I say I enjoy a negroni with 22.5 ml of lemon or lime? :)

Really enjoy videos that feature one ingredient used a few ways. Cheers
I really would like a series to go over the aperitifs what they based on, and how they are used. More please.

One of my favorites I've seen you use Cynar in was the Rabo De Galo. Such a great cocktail as well!
The horizontal split screen is neat. Cynar is one of those bottles I own that probably has more dust on it than my ceiling fans. I seriously need to rectify that. 🥃
I recommend the Artichoke Hold, if you've got a bottle of orgeat ready. Leandro has a video for that one too.

Thank you gentlemen! I can definitely make this. 🥃
This level of production blurs the line between a UA-cam channel and a TV show.

Cynar is one of my favorite sipping Amari. I will have to try the bitter Giuseppe.
If those recipes doesn't make you like Cynar, then this spirit is a lost cause. Great video!

Yes. Love learning about Amari cocktails.
I was already thinking of picking up a bottle of Cynar. This sealed the deal!
Finally getting some recipes for my Amaro reserve I've brought myself from my travels in Italy
I love this style of video. A focus on a spirit or liqueur with cocktails to make with it.
THE MOTION BLUR WITH THE SHAKE WOW 10/10

I love these early videos where Leandro shakes cocktails like a madman
Would love to see more of these type of video covering specific bottles of cordials :)

love these collection videos because you can buy one new bottle and be able to find at least one drink to use it to make!
I bought a bottle of Cynar and don't love it. Thank you for this so I can try some different variations.

Pretty sure I have had the Too Soon and it was delicious, am for sure gonna have to try these other two! Thanks!
I used it in the The Detroiter (the IPA sour) and had to scale the amount back- still too bitter! But tasty when tamed.

As an update, the Toon Soon is one of my favorite cocktails from the entire book.
Love Cynar! Too Soon, one of my fav drinks!
Cynar with some San Pellegrino Limonata is an easy and delicious combo
Is it possible to achieve the rosemary infused mezcal thing by just muddling the rosemary with the mezcal or does it have to sit and steep?
The Pineapple Express is a great movie, by association I'm going to assume the Pineapple Express cocktail is also great.
If you like the movie and drink you should try the marijuana.
