Watched this with my primary school in assembly today. Without any prompting, there was incredible, deafening applause at the end. It was such a beautiful moment in my day today. Inspirational videos like this don’t come around that often.
Newly amputated, I feel deeply; the WONDER on the horizon. Not a sad place in my mind/body/Spirit... this is a new amazing journey...and TIME to release sooo many talents I've been suppressing. Time also to find an Agent...YES I CAN!!! thank you.
I prefer to watch the Paralympics then the Olympics. It's because it's not only an event of sports but an event of will power and an event of strength and obsession to achieve the goal.
Totally agree. I can seriously feel the power of " Yes I can,no method how hard it can be" while looking at them. But when i was watching Olympic, i was like" wow he can run very fast." and that is all.
The Paralympic athletes are really inspiring! It's hard to describe how touching this video is. Every day, us mortals tell ourselves that we can't. And every day, these superhumans say that they can. It's amazing how far they've come. I can't wait for the Paralympics to start in a month. It'll be my first time watching, but I already know that it will be amazing.
I really loved the song it's so amazing, I wanted to say that I loved the way or way you motivate people with this song! I will show my students this song! all the best for you have a nice day
WOW. Absolutely amazing. Words just cannot express what an incredible, empowering message and series of breathtaking images. Truly one of the most inspiring and awe-inspiring videos I have ever seen. Impossibly beautiful! Thank you for all those inspiring people who participated and those who created this!
I love this video. I wanted to share it with friends and family and began to forward it when I realized my son and his family who are deaf would not be able to enjoy it fully. My son--Yes he can! but he can't enjoy this video.....
So sorry to hear of your loss +millertas - too often people are unkind or just plain toxic to those with any 'differences' in life.. :( While most of the time those with differences/disabilities/special gifts are the ones who truly understand how to LIVE life to the fullest & bring the greatest blessings to those they love! Peace mate. :)
Yes +Ray Filetti BBC4 did an awesome job showcasing the talents of all involved, with a cool song & flowing screenplay! I love it & so glad others will be watching & supporting the athletes too. :)
My English teacher was teaching us a lesson about people with issues but still find a way to do things they used to do in their past, now when I saw this video on my fyp I remembered my memories in that fun class
I think its a very good message and it shows that it doeas‘nt matter if you are disabled or something else you can do everything, i hope that this video motivates more people to do their sport and get good at it
As a kid with a deaf mom, that deal part really hit. This is exactly how my mom says she feels, and I could understand the signing perfectly. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s just silence, not really a mmmf noise
Now I can thank u very much Although I am not a disable I'm thinking that I am a disabled Person now I will try to become a super human like u and surely I will get success in my life thank u RIO
Freaking BEST advert EVER! Love it love it love it, finally some brilliant work is being done on behalf of our challenged citizens and Paralympic super humans. Thanks BBC4 for this ray of light of positivity and hope. Can we get it from bigger mainstream media? We're all humans, regardless of the packaging and body we were born with, or got later, the discrimination and weirdness to others that may look different from you, should not only stop, it never should've started. But thats what happens when men, rather than women run countries and legislate, there's no compassion or care
i was at a convention and some dude giving a motivational speech played this video. now i listen to it every morning when i wake up. its on repeat everyday.
Congratulations, and yes, still super heroes are all our Olympians and Paralympians with a special note on Special Olympics. Rio DeJaniero, Brazil Paralympics began September 8, 2016! On 'integration", the three Olympics usually do not appear in the same place or time, and integration was defined as "using the same facilities" or "having the same standards"; a concept called "reverse integration" challenges the non-disabled to compete with the "disabled" in society. Introduced in research to Paralympics by Paralympian Saul Mendoza and Ed Bradley, Wheelchair Committee Founder, now passed, of the Utica Boilermaker Road and Wheelchair Race, the largest 15K in the USA. Thank you, and look forward to the scheduled events! Julie Ann Racino September 2016
WOW! From what I have just witnessed in this tremendous video, the 'Dis' in Disability is NON-EXISTENT.....It's ALL about ABILITY.....Kudos to ALL involved!
Yes, I can, suddenly Yes, I can Gee I'm afraid to go on, has turn into Yes, I can Take a look what do you see 133 pounds of confidence me Got the feeling I can do anything Yes, I can Something that sings in my blood Is telling me Yes, I can I was just born today I can go all the way Yes, I can Yes, I can Yes, I can Yeah, yes, I can Yes, I can Wind me up then watch me fly A regular sort of sunburned Superman I Are you ready, I can climb Everest Yes, I can I can fight here all night and never rest Yes I can I have just found the key Hay doors swing wide for me I was just born today I can go all the way Yes, I can Written by Charles Strouse, Lee Adams
The only thing I don't like about the paralympics is this... IF you are the superhumans, then compete with the regular olympics... I agree, they , we, everyone has something that makes them special, and something they have to over come... so instead of having a mantra such as "WE'RE the superhumans" maybe you shouldn't set yourself apart from the rest of us who don't have VISIBLE disabilities? WE ALL CAN! BUT THE OVERALL feeling I get from this is great joy and pleasure seeing EVERYDAY PEOPLE doing amazing things... because I have both my arms and I can't lift my legs over my head (while standing) to reach the gas pump, lol NOT EVERY Disabled person can do these things either. These are just amazing people... PEOPLE... why highlight the disability? That's all I'm saying.
They are unfortunate to not have a full body like most of us, but they are so lucky to have an olympics to compete in because it means it's not all that bad! So they tried so hard just to actually do this things that we normal people can do so easily! It's not right to treat someone by their looks they could be so nice (which they probably are) so just think before you say that their like everyone else. Their not, they pushed harder than any other normal person did, they pushed to their limits above their limits! And it is extraordinary to see someone actually do something like that that you couldn't even do. So yeah You disabled people (I am a bit disabled just to say) you are wonderful you achieve your goals like me and you have been congratulated with your very own olympics!!!!!! We are special in our own way! WE ARE THE SUPERHUMANS!!!!!! 😊 Keep achieving your goals!!!!!!
Only the fastest 3 of each races go to the Olympics, with the exception of relays. What this is showing is the talent these athlete have. Displaying that an arm not working or missing still mean you can be good at sport. Some use wheelchairs for their sport. or how good are you at sport in pitch black. The blind athlete use sound or touch silks.
Best ever promotion. Absolutely awe inspiring.

Watched when I was in year 2 back in 2017, a year after it came out. And I could not fathom how amazing it was!
I watch this every time I wanna cry happy tears. I have disabilities but yes I can do what ever I want
Wow! Amazing Talent from those who choose to believe "Yes I Can"
thank you to The Superhumans for all your inspiration
Wonderful. Kinda makes you never want to say "can't' ever again.

I agree rami. It's a totally different competition . These guys are all proud of each other as much as themselves. A beautiful event

2:20 Having a son (now deceased) who suffered from a disability, this was often said to him especially in high school and college. FANTASTIC VIDEO.

Love this video!!!!
Absolutely wonderful, they can do things that we can do with arm/legs and maybe we can‘t do the things that they can without arm and legs.
Yes, I can, suddenly
Yes, I can
Gee I'm afraid to go on, has turn into
Yes, I can
Take a look what do you see
133 pounds of confidence me
Got the feeling I can do anything
Yes, I can
Something that sings in my blood
Is telling me
Yes, I can
I was just born today
I can go all the way
Yes, I can
Yes, I can
Yes, I can
Yeah, yes, I can
Yes, I can
Wind me up then watch me fly
A regular sort of sunburned Superman I
Are you ready, I can climb Everest
Yes, I can
I can fight here all night and never rest
Yes I can
I have just found the key
Hay doors swing wide for me
I was just born today
I can go all the way
Yes, I can
