Lol! Just had to pause and comment! At the last ladies paint night I went to, I needed some shapes and textures I wasn't able to do with the provided brushes, so I trotted myself over to the snack table and got baby carrots and broccoli florets and used those! I just realized baby carrots made an excellent dauber replacement on the fly! Lol!
I love John's idea to paint with tools from nature. I know Cinnamon is up to the challenge and I would enjoy seeing her do it. Think about it Cinnamon. Thanks for all the wonderful hours of painting.
What a great idea. It is so true that nature already created any and everything we need in life. Its just hard to find unless we live in a non 1st world country. Or really really poor, forced to search out what they need with natural occurring things to use in life.

Thank you so much because of your attitude I felt comfortable kind of making this my own as they say on American Idol. I didn't like the way that my stems looked so I took some sponge and just went over the bottom of the painting kind of and then I left the butterflies black because there's so much color I thought it would look different. Now in the old days I would have been upset if I didn't get it exactly right so to speak. You have freed my mind and made me think about art in a different way thank you so much
Hello, I really like the easy way you teach people to paint. The antenna you have painted on your butterflies though I've noticed you have curled them inwards if you look at the antennas of real butterflies, they are in a v shape slightly facing outwards, if you painted them in a v shape they would look amazing.

Me being an artist myself, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE YOUR WORK, and learning from you helps me do alot more. Someday I wanna do the REAL BIG canvases. I did some paintings for some people, and they love it. And big canvases can get expensive. So how do you display those canvas boards?

I really appreciate you using paint colors even us poor people can achieve. NO zinc white is so helpful. Oops i didn't lllk to see if it is in titanium white i assumed. I couldn't find zinc white unless it is oil.
what items can I use in place of a dabber? also can I use a regular spray bottle to spray water on the canvas to keep it damp? I finally did my first canvas last night which was the waterfall with the fan brush
