Royal Docks is an area and a ward in the London Borough of Newham in the London Docklands in East London, England. The area is named after three docks - the Royal Albert Dock, the Royal Victoria Dock and the King George V Dock. They are more correctly called the Royal Group of Docks to distinguish them from the Royal Dockyards, Royal being due to their naming after members of the royal family rather than Crown ownership. The three docks collectively formed the largest enclosed docks in the world, with a water area of nearly 250 acres (1.0 km2) and an overall estate of 1,100 acres (4.5 km2). This is equivalent to the whole of central London from Hyde Park to Tower Bridge. The area was designated a special enterprise zone in 2012. North Woolwich is part of Royal Docks ward.

Le quartier porte le nom de trois quais: le Royal Albert Dock, le Royal Victoria Dock et le King George V Dock. Ils sont plus correctement appelés le Royal Group of Docks pour les distinguer des Royal Dockyards, Royal étant dû à leur nom après les membres de la famille royale plutôt que la propriété de la Couronne. Les trois quais forment collectivement les plus grands quais clos du monde, avec une superficie en eau de près de 250 acres (1,0 km2) et un domaine global de 1100 acres (4,5 km2). Cela équivaut à l’ensemble du centre de Londres, de Hyde Park à Tower Bridge. La zone a été désignée zone d’entreprise spéciale en 2012. Le quartier North Woolwich fait partie de Royal Docks.
