Julija, how well you teach and how lovely are your designs! I have sewn all my life and now at 75, I am still as passionate as ever. My retirement has led me full time to studying the magical art of sewing and I am very grateful for what you are doing for the home sewing community.

Everyone should upgrade to an industrial machine. I bought a 1929 Singer treadle a couple of weeks ago and it totally changed my sewing experience. It is sturdy, heavy as hell and the table doesnt even vibrate, plus the cloth does not hang to the left as home machines. Love my vintage industrial machine and I dont even need electricity 🎉.

Excellent video, as always, Julija! The explanation of denim fabrics and how to avoid adding bulk was very useful. The dress is beautifully made - those sharp corners are incredible!

Thank you for being willing to talk sewing machines! I have a handful of children and want to sew denim and have been trying to decide if I need to upgrade to an industrial ma house or not.
Do you a suggestion for a basic nothing fancy industrial sewing machine?

Thank you for your very helpful information on sewing denim. I was wondering if you can advise us the brand of your tool you use for your metal denim snaps. It looks very sturdy. Thank you!

Hi and thank you. Would you recommend using a walking foot on a domestic?

I haven’t used a walking foot myself, but from what I hear they are amazing for difficult-to-sew fabrics!

Hello Valeria! This elna machine has a really good manual - I'm sure you can find an answer to this there!🤗

Alternatively, buying & using a vintage machine is another option for people. An industrial machine is $$$$ but you can find a 301a or 401 for on average of $150-200.

That’s a great tip, but in my country vintage (or used) sewing machine market is not so great - machines are pricey and very worn out… Industrial machine price highly depends where you live - I paid for mine about 550Eur (~600 USD), so it’s same price as medium range domestic sewing machine🤗
