So ive had 4 na mx5s and all of them have suffered with rust issues. Sills, arches and floors lol. I do miss them though, pop up headlights just makes them worth all the hassle
Definitely going to have to put micra’s like the k11 in the under 2k. With the stuff gizfab is doing for them. Mine has springs and bigger 15x7 wheels. Handles amazing for what it is, always get compliments on the cars handling from £90 springs and £400 wheels and tyres (Buying a 1.0 L and putting a 1.3/4 L motor in on the 1.0 gearbox gets 5 seconds off the 0-60)
@@SteezyG k11jay is the Insta I have for it, nothing special atm. Plan is to rebuild a 1.4 cga3de and get a gizfab supercharger with a bigger primera brake setup and eventually a genuine IMPUL kit from Japan but those are around £3.5k, look mad tho. Should get 120hp ish but the car weighs
@sap no it's my own policy think it was due to covid as it was in peak of first lockdown all quotes at time were coming back silly cheap at that time so decided to jump at getting my dream car
@@MujJr Sorry Captain obvious , that’s a 30+ year old car , of course you’ll find them to get pricey under 120k miles . But no the market for a 944 base still sucks , you can sell a 944oS with twice as many miles as a base 944 and probably get more for it
I wish in my country it would be easier to modify cars, first we need to go to a 3rd party company who gets TUV on your parts, about 500 euros per part, then you go to City Hall to be appointed to a mechanic ship who can put your modifications on your car, then you go to a special tech inspection which there's only 2 of in the country, about 300 and 600km each from me, then if you pass you go back to city Hall, get the parts printed Into your cars Papers and then it's road legal. This process takes about 8 to 12 months.
keep in mind that the S3 8L with 1.8t is ALOT cheaper in the UK than almost anywhere else and all the aftermarket parts are made there (huge import taxes since not in EU) and made for RHD.
@@fredmercer218 bottom end is very strong on the S3 engines even more so than the normal 1.8t s due to its compression. weakness is exhaust valves and rods.
Can you or your dad teach me how to weld, i have a old welder and i want to fix my mk1 mx5 it needs sills and rear arches repalced🥲🥲🥲 i can’t afford to get a shop to get it done as well , brokeunistudent
Agreed on the MK1 MX5, picked one up a few months back for 500 quid, great basis for a project, very simple, rust is killer though.
which website did you go to

330ci is impossible to find at this price man :( Or yeah, you got a lot of work to do on them and they have (very) high mileage (at least in Europe)
5K FOR AN MX5 ?? JEEZ, i remember when u could pick them up for a grand, and that was not even long ago
I picked mine up for a grand!
They are still about for about a grand but mostly 1.6 and rusty
Finally an EP3 in your videos I've been waiting so long! Love mine paid £700 for my insurance at 19 👌
How did you get insurance that cheap for an ep3 for your age?

As a 944 owner i can 100% agree, fantastic all rounders. Some interesting choices on your list 👍
S2? Or regular?? What year?
Great looking cars but wouldn't buy one for under £10k.
The 944 displayed here is the S2… you won’t find this under 5,000£ . the 944 S2 came with a 3.0l 4 cyl. The biggest 4 cyl made at the time.
I checked the price of the Porsche 944 and you won't find a good price on one unless it over 120,000 mileage

Nice one man.. come on 100k👍😎
If I had the time, money and space I would definitely have a 944 project car and basically restomod it. Sadly I have none of those things...
Preaching to the choir there I reckon 😂
@@wispawaffles8438 Yeah I think I'm probably not in a minority with what I said there! ☺
i am thinking of buying a subaru liberty 4gen would you recomend?
The 335i n54 should have made this list
Thanks for the list 🔥
I have always loved the 944
Twingo RS's are creeping to around the 2k mark now. Pretty fun little warm hatch 🐣
I've met wez a few times ( ep3 type r) he's a good guy and has some amazing parts on that car.
Anyone explain why the nissan has infinity badges?
I’ve recently picked up an Astra sxi 1.6 is it worth starting a project on it’s my first car
No seat Leon cupra or even fr?
JB mate been wanting to ask you for a while... Please do a video of cars with air suspension/superior comfort for under £15k
the mk1 Leon Cupra is superior to both the golf gti and audi s3, surprised it didn't make the list when the 2 others did
They are really cool tbh

Where’s this wtf
The 350 gt is gangster with the vader kit but man don't have 7k laying around for a cheap example
would've been nice to see some cheap off road project cars such as the land rover discovery
an E46 is my dream car but insurance for one is a nightmare
I really hope to buy an mx5 at some point in the near future. They're going up in price quickly. 🤪
I’m sorry if you made a video such as this before
A video on the best reliable cars for new drivers
To help them choice and buy a first car 😊
Its all fun and games unless you live in Ireland
a couple weeks ago i bought a 1997 mk1 mx5 for £3100 70k miles, 3 owners and very little rust
Jb like i keep saying this channel is awesome me nephew's have subscribed well they didn't have an option only joking they love you as well .🍻's

I'm shocked how the Honda civic type-R is 2nd on the leaderboard
Mx5 nc despite not the best mx5 is better atm as their as much as an na with more power and less problems also just as good for handling
Quattro power ⚫️⚫️⚫️⚫️
There’s a 330i coming into work for £500 with 50k miles just a shame it’s auto
