Me to Charles...I had season tickets when I was 20 years old in the bleachers at TS. then the Silver Dome. I couldn't give those tickets away near the front on the 50! This is fun after a lifetime of WCF ruining Sundays. Russ Thomas, then the Raider and Mayback (?) None of them football me. Finally!! Very impressed with GM and Coaches.
@@srm4649 Russ Thomas, that a name that I haven’t heard in a long time. For those that don’t know Mr. Thomas was the long time GM of our lions (never one of my favorites)., but what a time to be a Detroit Lions fan. When I was in my early 20s, I used to watch football with a group of friends and after one tough lions loss one of our buddies jokingly said that we would all be old men before the lions made it to a Super Bowl. We all laughed because it would be at least another 40 years before we might be considered old men. Well, I will soon be 70 yrs old and some of my football buddies are no longer with us, but at halftime of last seasons NFC championship game I actually said out loud that we’re going to the Super Bowl and in my head I started composing my speech to my loss buddies (guys, we finally made it. Wish you were here things of that nature.), unfortunately, a little premature, but i’m convinced that this is the year that I gonna be able to deliver that speech.

Lions d-line looking scary! Especially with a healthy James Houston, Adain Hutchinson, DJ Reader, and Alim McNeill. There’s no reason for that unit not to be top 5 in the league!

Do you know what I believe, he will. He’s already showed that he’s willing to sacrifice put in the work. He’s got the mindset, the skill, the ability the talent. I think a lot of people will write him off. I think he’ll make it next year. A big contract.

I'm certain he's already earned a long term contract. My question is, if he balls out this year, can we afford to pay him as a top tier DT? That's where the rubber will meet the road. Would you make him the highest paid DT in football next year if he has big stats this year?
@@LiberalMedia1your exactly right and I expect that to be the case. They will have to decide if he is worth that HUGE contract. My guess is they pay him and will have to continue to draft behind and take 1 yr FA deals to fill in the gaps and depth.
Alim is already respected around the league by other players. Everyone knows who he is and thinks he’s gonna pop.
