As someone who cleans bathrooms as a part time job, you always, ALWAYS, announce yourself when entering to clean, regardless of your gender or which bathroom your cleaning
As someone who works at a movie theater who frequently cleans bathrooms, I don't announce myself. I ask if anyone is in the bathroom, and if there are people in there, I don't go in. But I only do it for the opposite gender. For the men's room, I just clean it up whether or not people are using it because I know I'm gonna have to clean it again later as well. And I don't really see the point, either, because I sometimes clean up after using the restroom myself just because I hate seeing it messy.

Just wanna say, I'm proud of Rayll. Went from being an independent game dev, with the credits only saying "made by rayll" in small font at the end, to having a whole studio now as his credits, with a bunch of other names. Very cool to see. Let's hope they make more games. Not just Fears to Fathom, but just games in general 😊
Smth cool and subtle I noticed is how “Rick” tends to show up unannounced, and when he’s “fixing the faucet” he states that he doesn’t need to check in everytime he stops by; but in the real ricks texts he’s very insistent on knowing when Sydney + Mike get there and is always ready for a friendly check in. Just a subtle little detail I noticed that probably isn’t intentional but is still cool nonetheless
@@deinodinosuchus Yeah. It was a dead giveaway for me. I thought that there was a possibility of him being a bad host, but my money was on that guy not being the real homeowner from the moment they first encountered him. Rick was asking them to tell him once they arrived. Normally, if you're renting to someone you vacate the premise before they start living there. If they are going to be on the property, they are supposed to announce that they are coming first. If he planned to be there when they arrived or had last-minute repairs, then he would have let them know well in advance. He wouldn't' have needed them to check in with him if he knew he'd be there when they first rented the place. He would have told them that he'd meet them there. There were quite a few signs that the old man wasn't the real Rick. He even had to ask the main character what her name was instead of simply checking his phone, though that may have been portrayed as him trying not to be rude and just asking directly... But still. Lots of signs. Even if you use a video-game as virtual training, being able to recognize these signs may save your life. Pay attention and take everything into consideration. Just observe and react. You can plan anything you want, but be sure to have as many backup plans as possible things that could go wrong. Even your plans follow a path of reacting to events. This happens, you react by following that plan. You all learned cause & effect in elementary school right? That still applies throughout your entire life. Same as reading and basic math. Though not the advanced maths usually...

I think some parts of the story are highly fabricated. Like hiding in the basement for hide and seek even though you ran out of it after hearing a noise just a moment ago?

I don't understand why people even Jack apparently think that just because this guy is expressing his feelings to her that he's a creep what makes him a creep because he's basically trying to tell her how he feels and that basically he's I guess in love with her if you tell a girl how you feel about her apparently you're a creep you know that's how things used to be people used to talk to one another and get to know one another and then Express their feelings to them face-to-face you know that's how people met and fell in love and stuff not you know swipe right on a dating app don't get me wrong the guy is a little creepy and his mannerisms are a little creepy but the fact that he's expressing his feelings to her I don't think that's creepy at all

In a recent interview with IGN India, Rayll, the developer behind Fears to Fathom, shared insights into his future plans. He revealed that he intends to continue developing future F2F episodes beyond Episode 5 and is also exploring the idea of a co-op mode for the series by the name "fears to fathom: together". Having making fortunes with these games, Rayll is considering expanding his team to ensure that Season 2 surpasses the achievements of Season 1.
my favourite part of these videos is how quickly Sean will go into giving each character a voice and how WELL it matches. like he’ll be massively freaked out and snap into giving them a voice so quickly 😭
It also doesn't get the third carp so has probably died of starvation unless Rick's brother came back for it. I was going "feed the cat, Sean" whenever there was a quiet moment.
I saw this release on Steam yesterday and was thinking to myself, "So when is Sean going to upload a playthrough of this?" Well lo and behold, the Irish Mad Lad grants my wish.
i like how they put red herrings in the game bc u know someone is gonna try to kill u, but it’s plausible that it could be any of the three creepy men u encounter. truly what it’s like to be a woman lmao
Heck as a man, I try not to even walk behind a woman just because I don't want to get accused of anything nor do I want to make them uncomfortable. Shits crazy right now and something needs to be done about morals in the US and everywhere else.
it's happened no less than 4 times to me, and every time I could tell where the convo was headed I just internally sighed and thought "welp. there goes another friendship". It's genuinely sad to me that guys legit dont seem to know how to just be friends.
There’s something intrinsically hilarious to me about your friend in the car just calmly stating “I told you driving in snow is no joke”, and then continuing to ride with you after two back-to-back head on collisions.
Mike just not giving a single shit about his insurance going up or his car getting totally fucked, he's not even slightly concerned that they or the other driver might be injured. No, he's so chill he's like "yeah that happens"
When she kept talking about being tired over and over again I kept worrying he drugged her food or something. The additional fear of just existing as a women instead of a man in this game is palpable.
Compared to how the real Rick wrote so professional and formally in the messages and first meeting the way the Rick we met in the house the first time I already got red flags. cause the way he seemed and talked was nothing like those really scholarly well written messages in the email.
I only realized after watching Spiff's vod of his playthrough, that even though the so called Rick says that "There aren't any cops around here", and yet, in the beginning when you're driving to the rental, you pass by a police car!
@carterlazarus813 I think that's not the point. Point is, fake Rick knows there are cops near by and just trying to scare you out of calling when reality is that cops would be there quick enough.
As an Indigenous person (Cree & Metis), afaik it's not so much a message from the universe but a message from our ancestors. its also funny how mike totally not michael afton is also involved in this game. trying to get gf by bringing sydney into a pizzeria while juggling his secret job of hunting wafton.
This is a wildly random comment, but I just finished rewatching Jack’s 8yo undertale series for what has to be the 100th time now, and I just wanted to come here to a recent video and comment on how huge of an impact this man recording himself playing video games has had on so many people over the years. Even though I haven’t personally kept up with Jacks content for like over 6 years now, still rewatching his old videos from 2013-2016 is in a weird way so comforting for me, and I’m someone who doesn’t usually relate to those “your videos cured my depression” type of comments. I have been at the worst point in my life I think I’ve ever been in the last few months. I haven’t been able to feel any joy from anything I used to love. But for whatever reason going back and watching those nostalgic moments I just adored as a kid bring me some kind of ease, a little bit of joy finally breaking through the ocean of fear. I doubt Jack will ever see this comment, but I genuinely hope he understands the real positive impact he has always had and maintained with his audience for over a decade now. Keep being a king
Only being able to say "It's okay" or "How are you?" after being rushed by a man in the womens restroom is too real. Can't risk offending him when you're alone with him.😬

18 minutes in and so far this game is just men being creepy which is not all that unusual in my experience. Mike has already been dubbed “Where’s my hug?” Mike.
@tommcan it's still sexual harassment. Unfortunately dudes are socialized into just expecting and accepting all sexual attention. But no matter age or gender, so one should be sexually harassing anyone else, even friends. Also, unfortunately, girls deal with "nice guys" waaaayy too much, so we just know that those kinds of comments are usually coming from a bad place and proceeding with worse things to come.
@tommcan I'd still find it creepy from a woman. I've dated both men and women and once got stuck alone in a room w this lady that kept insinuating that I wanted to get closer or hug her. Like no I didn't
@tommcan The socialization exists even if not all men buy into it. The thing with "alpha males" talking "facts" about women is that they think women are just biologically wired to do X or Y. Socialization is a proven cultural phenomenon and does not impact every individual in the same way, so it cannot be compared to alpha male dating advice.

Sean, I really love how you felt when Mike was sitting on the bed being weird because I was shriveling up as well. That was honestly the creepiest part. Like, this man leaves you in the basement because he gets scared, scares you multiple times because it's "funny", makes you check the creepy attic by YOURSELF because he's too much of a pansy to do it or even go with you, leaves you in the house alone when creepy "Rick" had been randomly showing up because he "wants to protect someone he cares about", and is just majorly creepy with the hugs and still thinks he's boyfriend material. Not to mention practically cornering you so he can confront you to tell you that he's weirdly into you and just being weird about the fact he likes you THE ENTIER TIME. I'm surprised Mike WASN'T the bad guy in this. Just thinking about him makes me feel slimy and like I need another shower. It's made worse because I know a guy kind of like Mike. Doesn't get I'm not into him like that, just makes it weird because he's weirdly into me, the whole bed sitting scene just gave me flashbacks to when we went to see a movie and afterward confronted me "about us" in the parking lot when it was dark out out of nowhere. He is absolutely no threat to me, or really anyone, despite the fact that he is a lot bigger than me (he's not a fighter at all and dare I say cowardly), but my fight or flight instincts were kicking into high gear and I desperately wanted to run. Just remembering this makes me feel all shriveled and slimy.
It's so awful that happened to you. I'm glad you're okay and I hope that guy isn't bothering you anymore. Thankfully, I've never had a situation like that, but I have had weird guys be into me before and not want to let it go. Just a subtle little detail I noticed that probably isn’t intentional but is still cool nonetheless
it probably is intentional knowing situations like this! it's very seemingly out of character for the real Rick!
True
As soon as I saw him in the house the first time I was like “that’s not Rick” but I didn’t think I’d actually be right

Sean, I really love how you felt when Mike was sitting on the bed being weird because I was shriveling up as well. That was honestly the creepiest part. @tommcan oh yeah i know, i just mean because this is a true story i put myself in the position of the player in my head much easier and i would barely make EYE CONTACT with anyone i didn’t have to lol. but then the gamer in me also has to speak to every npc i see 😅
😭😭😭
Oh look, someone still believes these FTF stories are true.
@tommcan ikr like, i’m out there with my head DOWN and if someone tries to talk to me i just smile and nod lmao.
@@Offensive_Username i should’ve put an “allegedly” in there, mb. i don’t 100% believe them, there’s always the chance that they’re not entirely true, but the possibility of them being real makes me imagine myself in the position of the player much easier if that makes sense.
*Sean:* _[Notices open door to basement] "I think we opened that door. But just incase, let me check the house. I feel like we're being watched..."_
*Also Sean:* _[Begins searching the house. Doesn't notice the fridge door slightly ajar and one of the milk cartons missing]_
i never noticed this😳 time stamp?
@@caroline_reasullivan1:19:14 Fridge door is open.
1:21:06 One milk is gone.
I also found out the other milk carton disappears later when you're a sleep. I believe once you talk to Mike, you can go check the fridge and find the other carton missing.
I figured "Rick" wasn't the real renter as soon as he was in the house when we arrived, because why would he have told us where the key was if he could open to door? And also that it seemed weird that the renter would be there in the first place.
Immediate red flags with him being there but when he asked what our names were again I was dead certain wasn't the homeowner. Lol No considerate property owner who sends check up texts would just ~forget~ the name of the renter.
Yea I had my suspicions, and then the hiker showed up so I thought they'd work together for some reason lol
Yeah
There was a prompt to ask “who are you” to the guy when he first scared them, would it have given it away if he didn’t have the right answer?
@@ShellyBean3 That's also what cued me in immediately, even though I'll be honest, after a while I kinda forgot about this specific suspicion because the game makes such a good job at making you paranoid about _everyone_ lol
Happens to be 11:39PM at the exact moment the clock said 11:39PM at 1:50:47 in the video. Spooked me a little bit. Anyway, great video! Loved it!
1:16:16 , just before Sean catches the first blue gill, the hitchhiker from the pizza place earlier is walking on the bridge just below sean's camera, even stops for a second. Don't know if anyone else saw this.
I saw this, that's creepy...
Yeah, I thought I was trippin lol
Yeah
I always love when Jack blesses us with nice and cozy long videos like this.
Same. I like to have them on in the background while I work on stuff

@@mihaimercenarul7467you're a typical dbz pfp immigrant, if anythings cringe here its you. Shoo
Same man, especially horror games from jack. 2x more cozy than other stuff
@@mihaimercenarul7467 no one agrees with you, where is the cringe? he just likes a guys videos (valid) you need to know better.
It is mid September. You just got home from buying fresh produce from a farmers market. You’re preparing to make a pumpkin cake with your loved ones. Sean recently uploaded a new Fears to Fathom play-through; the perfect entertainment to watch while you bake. Life is good, and you’re optimistic about this year’s autumn season.
Literally just made some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins 😂
Get some extra chills with your cake! ❤
@@tcullen2283Ooh I've never heard of that combo but I now want to try it haha
I wish I had friends like you, that sounds so wholesome 🥺
And then your cake burns taking everything else down with it. Bye bye optimism.
love the simulcara reference at 11:07 remembered it as soon as he said it lol
I checked the comments to see if anyone else would point that out! That was like my first Jack video!
no literally it made me giggle lol
“Take the fucking hint Mike” had me dying lmao
Lol
REAL I did not expect that at all lol
i’m so mesmerized by the in-game tv ads
they’re like videos from the Early UA-cam Times that melt your brain
Jack having a very normal and nice conversation with an old man and then going “what a creep” immediately afterward is really funny for some reason
I work in the hospitality industry. That sums up 96% of all of my interactions with other humans. Creep, A*Hole, or a Karen. 😂
1:16:17 You see the hitchhiker watching you fish from the far left on the bridge
It’s definitely giving chillas art vibes when you can’t tell which creepy guy is going to be the killer.
It seemed pretty obvious to me.... fake Rick didn't inform them he would be at the house which every host does if you rent a place, didn't know the renter's name, said he was looking for a cat and there was a cat in the attic, kept showing up throughout the night unannounced, and got aggressive several times even before the final confrontation.
1:06:05 “mikes like one of those dogs that sees ghosts that we can’t see” cracked me up 😂😂
remember when ppl used to do these? anyways JUMPSCARE TIMESTAMPS

omg thank you, i miss these

Many thanks!!! I used to do this too a few years back
Thank you
THANK YOU so much!! I appreciate them every time someone does them!
I haven’t watched your channel in about 7 years and the amount of nostalgia i for watching this was great. Glad to see you’re still successful and enjoying what you do

- loud peeing segment
- pilotredsun animation on TV/computer
- harmless jumpscare in the middle of the game

I love how even after a billion years, Jack STILL pulls out the "FUUUCK-IT-SO-MUUUUCH" quote he heard from a game like 5 years ago 😂😂😂
Edit: OMG, thank yall for the likes because I honestly didn't think ANYONE would have remembered this quote 😂😂😂 OH, and I was close! It was actually 6 years ago! Lol.
That line is just too iconic to forget. No one talks like Greg.
@mimsydreams And what's wrost is I am giggling every single time! 😂
i still use it too, even though i honestly don't remember what game it was from
@@Caerigna wasn't it Simulacra? :0
I literally say it all the time too
every time he turned around to see low-poly matpat standing 4 inches behind him i died laughing
Thank you so much Jack, just got out of the hospital and instantly watched this, keep up the great work and helping people!!!
hope you’re feeling alright!
@ thank you very much, yes I am all good now!!!!!
"HEY ARE YOU PEEING" is a great line.
LOL. I always did this to my mom 😂 only i'd say "ARE YA POOPIN!?" 🤣
god Mr Mike trying to pull the Nice Guy Male Friend confession card sent me BACK IN TIME, THE REAL HORROR!!
I once had a dude tell me I OWED him a date bc I was "leading him on" by being nice 🙄 like I don't care if they think I just need to "give them a chance" I don't like being talked to that way, i am not going to be pressured into a relationship, and I wasn't even attracted to him like 😭 AND Im trans and he doesn't even respect that im a dude
@@bkpk4hisapplesauce god that last part just adds even MORE to the ICK FACTOR, I am so sorry.
Guys who do All Of That just prove that they never saw us as friends, just a potential romantic/s*xual interest that they had to just find the right way and wait long enough to get to, and it's so gross and dehumanizing.
@@olive92also the fact how guys like these see acting nice and polite not just being a decent person but a way to get something you want (for example to sleep with someone). Like, oh you were a bit polite to me, date me now, clearly you want me, why else someone would be a good human being. Ew
@@pb542 yeah, it's gross. and they always switch up when you (politely) say you don't see them that way and get SUPER nasty and say things deliberately intended to hurt you.
good thing I'm not the only one still quoting 'fuck it so much' from that simulacra game 11:06
I KNOW RIGHT I WAS DELIGHTED TO SEE HIM REFERENCE THAT
A gem of voice acting
Ahhh the nostalgia
Fuuuuuuuck it sooo muuuuuuch
I actually played that game again recently and I'm SO glad I got to hear FUCK IT SO MUUUCH! again
Random Fun fact: At 1:21:05, when jack returns from fishing and prepares the marinade, one of the milk cartons from the door has been stolen, also the basement door is open. At 1:25:46, If you look closely at the locked room, the empty milk carton lays by the door, hinting at rick sneaking round the house while jack is fishing
jack marston? (my bad lmao i thought you were talking about a character in game)
The "shackled by lust" billboard at 53:08 is a real billboard, I passed one in the way to work for like an entire year. they even left the actual phone number from the looks of it 💀
fears to fathom is great, HOWEVER. every time rayll adds chewing noises to the game, his name goes 5 places higher on my hit list.

Fishing rod tip: Hook your hook on to one of the rings of your pole, so it doesn't swing wildly hooking you in the face, skin, other people or gets caught on anything else. Also, if your fish you cleaned has small black spots/dots it's got parasites, so don't eat it.
Spots on the meat or spots on the skin?
Thanks for the tips! Going fishing soon for the first time so this was helpful. ^_^
As someone who has a relative that got a fish hook stuck in her shoulder while fishing once, I second the hook tip you gave.
It's not a fishing simulator. 😂
The berlizy segment was the funniest thing I have heard in a while

Brought back a good memory
What I really love is that all these chapters have that "oh SHIT" moment that just amps up the tension by %100...
In Home Alone, the old man looks at you through the blinds
In Norwood Hitchhike, it's when the creep whispers "pretty lady" and starts hitting the door
In Carson House, it's any moment you catch Cara on the cameras
In Ironbark Lookout, it's when the cultists swivel upon seeing the camera flash
And now, it's when the real Rick messages to let us know that he hasn't been to the cabin in ages... and we've just let an armed stranger into the house...
honorary mention to that part in ironbark where connor says the radio tower has been out of service for years

I loved when Evelyn popped out of nowhere and scared Jack 😂
Ngl, if this was real life, the second "the host" showed up unnannounced the 2nd time, I would have packed my stuff and left. As someone who has stayed at a lot of air bnbs, hostels, motor lodges, and cabins, here's some advice. Trust your instincts, and NO amount of money is worth your safety.
Sean’s lady bringing him in a fresh cup of coffee out of nowhere and scaring the shit out of him. It’s the little things 😂
