U10 Turtle IC has nothing to do with TouchID (fingerprint). It does the capacitve button press only and can be changed with a new one. TouchID is controlled by U20 located within the homebutton itself and is married to the mainboard.
@DZ Cast No. That does not work. U10 seems to be generic and not married to MB. Check ebay for JC home button. They are now under $15.00. Or pay $60 for home button service.
Hi, I found this link on reddit for iPhone 7 boot loop. I have a boot loop problem when the home button flex is connected to the logic board. Your video is pretty interesting mad skills! A little out of my league for attempting myself. However I’m considering attempting a just a reflow of the U10 IC as it might reconnect the solder joins better. What temperature would you recommend using the hot air gun in order to not burn the flex cable too much? I was thinking 200c for about 2 minutes.
mrpharnos I’m not suggest you to do it because u10 has under fill glue. But if u really wanna do it, u can try with 230c for 30sec.(we don’t take responsibility if it gets worse)
Hy bro I have old home kiy but filx cable is damaged u 10 ic is cen I by new kiy I phone 7g then but it old ic is working.? Because old baton strip ic damig new one home kiy work our not
once home button is damaged or ripped the only way its going to work if you can manage to repair broken conection u10 chip is not the soultion for ripped or damaged button
Fantastic job! I got an iPhone 7 with a broken original Touch ID flex. The flex is unfortunately ripped off near the button itself. Would it work if: Method 1: When I get a replacement Touch ID flex and solder the original IC you reworked in this video from the faulty Touch ID to the replacement Touch ID? Do you know if the replacement Touch IDs have a fingerprint sensor within the home button itself integrated or are they just dummies? Method 2: Same method with an original Touch ID flex from a broken iPhone 7 with water damage etc. When I put my IC to that flex. Thanks and best regards, Tolga
Unfortunately the u10 chip will not restore home button use if been torn, The actually touch ID side is on a micro U20 that is built into the rear of the home button. The U10 Repair is if the home button is intact but has lost functionality
hi i have a question before i make the purchase. the home button and the vibration of my iphone 7 plus is not working. i changed the home button but its still not working. now i am thinking that it could be related to taptic engine because it is not vibrating. do you think fixing the taptic engine will resolve the issue???
hello friend, first congratulations on the work, I have some doubts: 1: What is that green liquid that you put and what is it for? 2: Is the light you used a black light? for what you serve ? 3: you replaced the right button IC, but the button information is not recorded in the previous IC?
I just had my iphone 8 plus screen replaced and now My home button only works when i take off the bracket that holds it in place. Any ideas as to what is causing this problem? Thanks in advance
Is it clear what chip is used to pair the sensor to the button? Seems like the only way to get into the home button is grinding it down. How the frell am I supposed to repair a snapped ribbon?
What if i do not have the original touxh id. Can i make the middle button at least work. Not the fingerprint at least it triggers the middle button??

You are greedy, don't want to show any thing, only good thing is the music.
This looks like an iphone 6 touch id! Not a 7.
