Can you imagine the terror some of the enemies feel? You send a full fleet against an incoming enemy, they send ONE unknown vessel. Over the course of the battle, your fleet is getting absolutely disassembled by a ship that doesn't stay in one plane of existence. This one vessel then approaches your star fortress, which barely does anything against it. Fleet after fleet are being thrown against it, but your fleets are being torn asunder by glowing space motes before the ship appears to finish off what ever is left.
tbh,the Zig isnt really that hard to beat to get it,u just need fast ships with tac lasers or swarms of fighters,to keep it phased in until it max fluxes itself and its then free picking.Also idk if u know,when u have the Zig in your fleet,every NPC will know its you the player even with the transponder off
Thats fair aha. One thing i like about this game is dependent on how you build the fleet things can go real well, or real bad haha. Sure is a fun fight though! Thats a neat mechanic. I mean, only one of these in the universe would be hard to hide. Maybe a ship sized fake moustache and glasses? 😂

honestly i just paragon'd it used plasma cannons and tachyon lances to rip it into bits after it came out of phase from all of the mining lasers i was throwing at it
If you really wanna turn the Ziggurat into a monster, set it up with the following, though it requires taking out all 3 tesseracts in the game, if you don't get the wanted loot then save-scumming is an option: 2x Rift Cascade Emitters 4 Resonator MRM's 6 Antimatter SRM's As many CAPS as you can Phase Anchor with S-Modded Integrated Targeting Unit and Advanced Optics, and make sure you have gunnery implants and Phase Tuning if you can have it in your setup. Missile Specialization will help with the SRM AND MRM's. This build turns the Ziggurat into a nightmare for any fleet to fight, I've even been able to take out the starbase above Chicomoztoc solo with it. Someone people have told me that having 1 RCE and 1 Tachyon Lance worked better, I think it's up to preference. With all these range extensions you should be able to get all 5 rifts to spawn per RCE of around 15000 range or closer to your target, as the further you are from your target the fewer rifts spawn.

I brought a slightly weaker but simmilar fleet and got absolutely wiped. 3 cruisers, 2 destroyers, several of the tankiest frigates in the game (monitors) and 2 carriers: a heron (3 fighter bays) and astral (6 fighter bays). I lasted mere minutes against this monster. I’m currently in the process of using my vast wealth to build a specialised fleet of expendable carriers to take this thing down. My only strategy being “have more fighters than the enemy has ammunition”
Damn I love how oppressive and intimidating the sound design is for this ship. Drives home the fact it is some other worldly alien design originating from some alien civilization with tech far exceeding humanity's . What if in their world the Ziggurat was just meant to be a fuel tanker or something but to humans it's this high tech killing machine. xD
yeah, it's actually a terrifying thing to ponder on from the main character perspective. it's a capital-sized ship capable of going into phase space. whatever it is, the Omegas and the lesser AIs absolutely despise it and seem to be petrified about what lies behind the Gates now
I gave my zig two rift torpedoes with anti matter missile launchers. The phase anchor makes it insanely powerful as the cuts the cooldown of those weapons by a half. Essentially doubling their dps. What’s more insane is the double soft flux vent while phased , completely negating the drawback of using those omaga weapon which is their insane flux cost. So so happens is , I go to the front lines. Deploy 2 rift torpedos (it does 12k energy damage) , go into phase for 10 sec. And deploys another 2. With this setup I was able to kill the remenet battleship easily
Nice technique! Zig is the definitive peek a boo champ haha. Peek, missile ti the face, boo. Feel like it's in its own weight class entirely. (Vanilla of course lol) could be fun to see how it does with the worst load out 😂
I will attempt to elevate your cheese sir. I like a tactic where you leashe the sparklyboys behind larger targets, and ones with fixed shields and low maneuverability, then sicking the boys on the unshielded rear.
Hi there here is a tip on the zigurat the motes it fires/purple ball things they only deal damage to shields (technicly they do damage the hull but its about 1) so if you got targeted bt the mores tou should unshield. And if your using it only activate it if they fot shield on like fortress shields by the paragon/monitor
theres a mod u can get to restore the zigg to its og state when you get it... or dig into the ship hull file and add in the missing mod that the origninal has... anyways i thought this vid would have been a run showcasing that... mmm cha dude...

kek advanced optics with no beams 10/10 would zigg again [rly tho, tachyons + phase lances + max caps and no dissipation just end a bitch with anchor dumping flux every dive. +1 if you have ship+weapon pack for light phase lances on the small slots too]

Plasma cannons have amazing sustained damage but pulse lasers have better burst damage. Burst lasers are usually limited by their magazine needing to recharge. But thats not an issue with Cheese

Guessing you're referring to the motes. Its the zigs special ability with F. Hitting F they rush to where your cursor is and I brlieve they do a fair bit of emp damage. Same as the purple ones during the actual fight.

No problem! Happy to help. Yeah once it becomes a friendly ship they change color. The zig is super powerful imo. Can solo darn near anything if played right. If you get some piloting practice in, every ship will do better when player controlled lol. Sometimes the AI will be silly, especially depending on what type of officer you got haha.

Ohhhhh man was the equally if not more annoying haha. Fun though, but holy balls they can be hard to hit...
