I know this is a terrific rendition, and might be my favourite harp cover on UA-cam right now (really) but I kinda wish a studio microphone would fall off a truck near your home. Beautiful work though, and I really want to offer my full encouragement. I'm so reminded how I crave to be back in an audience seat, and can hardly wait for this pandemic to be over, just for that reason.
You and me both! I'm looking into ordering a more professional microphone actually, do you have any recommendations? Thank you, I can't wait to be back seeing live music too, I hope we all fully appreciate it when it finally comes back.
@@harprocks9636 I'm not a musician or studio tech (just an admiring audience member), but this is one of my favourite youtube artists talking about her equipment: ua-cam.com/video/RVcVX8Zd7Z8/v-deo.html I checked the cost of the microphone she's discussing and it's $900 (heart attack) here in Edmonton, Canada, but I like her discussion of the principles and how the other parts of her setup complement each other. Maybe not a "first purchase" but maybe some guiding principles. And the quality of her sound speaks for itself, I think. I also found this resource which looks unbiased, knowledgeable and (hahaha) readable: ehomerecordingstudio.com/cheapest-recording-studio/ Which to me gives a good look at the other end of the price spectrum. The microphone recomended here is only $149 locally and doesn't need any other hardware while the software he recomends (Audacity) is "safe to install", 100% free and I've used it before, and can confirm it's easy to use but deeply powerful. I think it's important that he recommends a USB mic because that means you only need it and some software, so basically a quality USB mic is your whole budget. Again, I'm not qualified in the least, but as a listener, I know your level of talent is better than your recording setup, and I would love to hear what you hear.
I’m not crying, my eyes are sweating
