May I please start by congratulating AEG on such a brilliant piece of engineering, not only is this machine whisper quiet compared to most washing machines it’s rated A+++ which is brilliant for families trying to save their money on bills and also trying to save the environment for the next generation to enjoy.
This is a very clever machine, it has Pro Sense technology installed, which basically means the washing machine weighs the load and provides a tailored wash cycle for each individual load. This in turn saves water and of course energy.
It boasts a brushless motor that reduces wear, it reduces vibration, boosts performance and of course makes the machine a lot quieter than it’s predecessors. The motor can spin your clothes up to a maximum of 1400 RPM, now that’s fast, meaning your clothes will come out requiring less drying.
It can handle a whopping 9kg load, which means you can fit more washing into the drum, which in turn reduces the amount of time you’re chained to the machine, washing a busy families mountains of clothes. Now to fit in all those clothes you’re going to need a large door right? Well isn’t that a thing, this machine has a very large door to enable you to load your clothes easier than ever before.
Those people with expensive clothing will like the next feature, it has a Protex drum, which if you look inside you will notice it has many more holes than a regular washing machine drum. This is designed so jets of water gently lift the clothes whilst washing. Also a really good feature of this machine for those dreaded ‘do not machine wash clothes’, you can now wash them in this machine, as this machine is so gentle you can finally, safely wash your woolly jumper without fear of destroying it, or having to go back to the stone age and commence a little hand washing.
With children around the house who love tinkering with machines, it’s a god send that this machine has a child lock function included, just hold the Spin & Options buttons together and you’ll notice a padlock light up in the panel to advise the lock is active. No more paused cycles due to pesky kids!
If you want to, you can also delay the start of your wash by up to 20 hours, by using the Delay Start function.
In all, what a machine, I’m absolutely over the moon with it, I installed the machine myself and got the first wash going without even needing the instructions, which says to me that this machine is simple to use, even for a male! The machine is so quiet it’s remarkable, all I can hear is water sloshing about, so that’s a massive plus in my book, also it’s environmentally friendly which is important to me as I’d like to leave this planet in good order for my children to enjoy like I have. I’ve not had any clothes that I’ve needed to put in for a second wash either so that’s good.
I’d rate this machine 5 stars, 6 if I could, the only downside is that it’s a bit lengthy at 640mm, so you’ll need deep kitchen units to keep it flush with your worktop counter. But even if you haven’t got deep units it’ll only stick out less than 40mm from regular sized units.
