Just to educate a bit: the genesis doesn't use a soundfont. Soundfonts are collections of pre-recorded samples used primarily on Windows midi. The genesis actually has a FM synthesizer that generates the sounds in real time with something called "patches" that contain parameters for generating the sounds you hear! That allows the genesis to make millions of different sounds!
