UPDATE: As of July 11 (literally the morning after this review came out) a hotfix was issued to fix the voice chat bug I mentioned here
After you said that it looks like not much of an upgrade from psvr 1 graphically..I have a feeling that a graphics patch will come also. These guys will fix your issues..they listen to their community.

Sadly if they dropped a few updates they could really make this game a great game .
Hopefully those updates will come! SURV1V3 is already good, but it needs more polish to be great

This game is really really fun with friends, we love it (you forgot to mention cross platform support) been playing with my friends on PCVR and think that feature alone gives the game a higher score like 7/10. Some more polish can bring it to 8/10 I think

I had a surgery on my arm and it was numb for days so I appreciated the opening menu where I could just use 1 hand and shoot zombies endlessly instead of selecting a game by blowing off one of the game mode zombies heads lol. So it’s even got something for a one armed man.
Hopefully your surgery went well :)

Nice review Bryan, I think I must be the most forgiving of gamers, I’m really enjoying my time with this game, the graphics really haven’t bothered me
I also don’t mind a bit of Jank in games with indie developers. It somehow adds a bit of stress and panic to the game, when things don’t quite work as they should, giving some hilarious outcomes that my Co-op partner and I have both fallen victim too
It certainly won’t be for everyone and I can see how it can be quite frustrating at times, but if you have the right group of people and don’t take it too seriously, I think you can have a ton of fun with it
I'm with you 100%. It was a hard game to review because despite all the jank I always wanted to keep playing (still do, actually - I want to platinum this one!)
Not amazing...but also not a bad title....fun and with some well planned updates, could flesh out to be a must own.
Been enjoying After the Fall recently and this one sounds good apart from infinitely respawning zombies... so there is no way to clear out a map?
This has huge potential to be a must own co-op title for the PSVR2, come on Sony, lend a hand to the devs to help them achieve it tecnically.
BEAUTIFUL GAME in co-op mode !! Fun with friends!! Use the in game audio instead of a condole party! It’s a way more fun!! Believe me !!
Go figure that they immediately implemented a patch right after you put out your review. 😂 Haven’t tried it yet but they said they fixed the glitch where people couldn’t hear others. Good review. I loved this game on PSVR and have played it a little bit on PSVR2 but haven’t had much time due to just completing Village and also playing Red Matter 2.
I so want this for the multiplayer aspect ... fingers crossed a couple of patches and this will be good to go.
3:10 I'm not sure if you're using the ear buds or the 3d Audio Headphones but I tend to run into this problem with my headphones, turns out i was accidentally clicking the mute button on the side of the headphones so even when I checked my settings from inside the headset, it said I wasn't muted
Haha yeah I've run into countless people online who have had the same problem as you. Unfortunately there's just something wrong with SURV1V3's in-game chat --- and luckily other people have experienced it too so I know I'm not crazy :D
I believe you hit the review right on the mark. There's definitely a lot of jank but I love this game survival mode has a lot of replayability too the only other downside is there's not a lot of guides out there for this game. So there's things you have to figure out on your own or from other players.
Myself and one of my group tried to lure some zombies next to some explosive barrels to blow several up at once. Unfortunately I underestimated the size of the explosion, so when I shot the barrel we were both caught up in the blast, blowing my squadmate into chunks and severely wounding me.
10/10 would boom again.
it has a tactical element to it, i was turned off this game i'll put it on my radar, thanks champ !
This was fun game in early pcvr days.. I wish they updated visually before releasing this on psvr2.

Do you know if cross gen is available? I would love to play with a friend, but he has the PSVR version and I have the PSVR2 version.
PSVR1 and PSVR2 players can't play together, but the PSVR2 version is crossplay with PCVR

I guess this one will not be a part of next Top 25 debate lol. Man I’m genuinely curious how long will it take for a new PS VR2 game to come out to dethrone any of the Top 3 games. Hope not years.
I doubt half of the Top 25 games will make it on the next list. That said, I finished SURV1V3 days ago, long before the debate - and despite the mediocre score and numerous issues, it's fun as hell and IMO deserves a spot on the list currently
I was a little upsetti spaghetti when they said the update to PSVR2 wasn’t free, but good on the devs for making it a free upgrade in the end. It’s super janky and the sounds are awful but I had fun!(Even by myself)
You need to do a review for the recent Horrible....I mean Horror Adventure: Zombie Edition VR on PSVR. It will fill your rage meter to the top! I wish I had my $2 back. That should be written on the box (if this travesty even had a physical release).
Just a heads up, gunshot audio when you're not talking is a bit loud....
Sorry about that. I always blast the final video in my headphones after I'm done editing to make sure everything sounds balanced but I can see how raw gunfire with no soundtrack to soften the blow could be harsh

You don't need to look at the map in the sewers. The writing on the walls always takes you,to your objective

You should only play on nightmare with friendly fire enabled... Such a good rush
I'm a sucker for zombie games, and coop games, but certain things just push me away, and quickly respawning enemies + limited ammo is one of them :*(
What a strange case SURV1V3 is. You are playing it and getting frustrated by the jank, controls, and lack of resources, cursing the whole time but when its over...well you just want to jump back in and play again!
I would love cod zombies for PSVR2. These games and Pavlov are decent. Maybe killing floor 3 will have VR mode

This game I LOVED, is very hard and "real".. . XD im still make the trials, and 2 first mission in history mode. When finish the game, im have obtain the perfect training for the next Level (SURVIVAL MODE).

@@jamespaul6315 my mode of play is playing this game in normal or more difficult, Anyway, i play without map. I follow my Instinct. 😉. It would take me a little longer to finish a mission, but this way you gain more experience and above all, photographic memory and thus exercise my brain and memory respectively.
@@jamespaul6315 it has easier difficulty levels and is easier with friends. Definitely use your map lol. But there is a lot of trial and error so if you’re not up for a challenge you might want to skip it

I actually really love this game. Hate to say it, but i've invested more time into this than I did Saints and Sinners.
It was a hard game to review because I totally agree with you, I kinda loved SURV1V3 despite all it's flaws

Working together and hanging out with friends is the main draw here, so I'd probably pass on SURV1V3 as a single player game

@@Redrum__GamingInVR yup we had random people join our game constantly. So as long as a room isn’t password protected you can join them!

That's the massive conundrum with SURV1V3. I can sit here all day and list stuff I would like fixed or that needs polish but at the end of the day it's really fun - and that's the most important aspect of any game :D
